      @@CO2Ohiofun it is mate. all except the hop chamber and inner barrel are steel, frame is overmoulded instead of screwed (as per real steel) and has no internal hammer like most replicas as this one is striker fired again as per real steel. it truly is a stunning piece.

      @@wildsurvivaluk now I'm gonna keep my gen 3 stock for acouple months aside from sights but do you have any recommended aftermarket upgrades I should add? I will note I'm not using this in airsoft events I'm using it as a trainer so I want it accurate as I can get it, its worth the money long term I assume I don't gotta spend much on ammo and co2 is cheap in bulk so no complaints from me, thanks for the quick reply you earned a like and sub brother, also will mention I had a VFC G45 but sold it after about 2,000 rounds was super fun to shoot but wasn't super accurate, how would you compare these GHK's to the normal 150-200$ price range Glocks?

      I would say upgrades wise I would go for a hop upgrade and a barrel although after a good clean with isopropyl alcohol the accuracy from mine has been pretty consistent in stock form too. 🤟

    I have a question, what lube do you use for this gun and how often do you apply it? I have one on the way and I want to know the maintenance for this.

    • @wildsurvivaluk
      @wildsurvivaluk  2 месяца назад +1

      I use waldodynamics medium oil for the seals etc and then a small amount of graphite lock lubricant for the trigger mechanism but you'll have to thoroughly clean off all the transport grease before applying the graphite as it's a really fine powder type lubricant for padlock/door lock barrels etc

      @user-wk8cx7wb9x 3 месяца назад +1

      They should be fine unless you run a CO2 mag without the Samoon upgrade kit. Samoon btw, carry a full range of parts for GHK guns. They're not expensive either & they dispatch quickly. Keep orders below £135 & you won't pay any import duty either.

    Well I bought a Steel slide version plus the CO2 kit. It was "ok" at first, after very light use, it now only shoots at about 170 - 200fps. Anyone have any ideas as to why that is?

    • @wildsurvivaluk
      @wildsurvivaluk  3 месяца назад

      have you tried it back on green gas/stock magazine? also check the hop hasn't moved.

    • @user-wk8cx7wb9x
      @user-wk8cx7wb9x 3 месяца назад +1

      @wildsurvivaluk Unfotunately, yes. I've tried all the combinations of parts I can think of, with both gas & CO2. The hop is completely off on both barrels. It's got me stumped. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the knocker is light striking for some reason. Saloon carry all the parts for them, so I'll try ordering a new "hammer" group sometime. The parts may be Steel, but the housing is unfortunately only polymer.

    • @wildsurvivaluk
      @wildsurvivaluk  3 месяца назад

      have you tried again with the hop all they way in the opposite direction? and have you cleaned the barrel also? these gas guns can be a real pain sometimes. trying a few different mags would rule out the exhaust valve in the magazine being at fault, so I'd probably say you are onto the right track with the knocker/hammer assembly. 😫
      gutted for you man. these GHK glocks are usually spot on, haven't really heard of many problems at all with them.

    • @user-wk8cx7wb9x
      @user-wk8cx7wb9x 3 месяца назад +1

      @@wildsurvivaluk I've sussed it. The (Samoon) CO2 mag had a very sticky exhauset valve, that combined with the 800 psi of CO2 meant the striker was an irresistible force meeting an immoveable object, something had to give. In my case it was the trigger bar, despite it being steel. You couldn't really see anything, but I took some pliers to it & bent it in what seemed the right direction & low & behold my FPS are back where they were. I have read that Samoon magazine valves are problematical, it seems this is the case. I took it apart & stopped it sticking with a bit of careful filing & working it in & out. It's not really smooth as silk now, but it doesn't jam any more. I would advise anyone upgrading to CO2 to check the valve before use to avoid potential issues. The way the GHK Glock works is simpler & better, but it means that there is no give in the system, so something has to give somewhere.

      ahhh good to know mate, the co2 kits have always interested me bit I've personally never bothered with them, literally everything I have runs black gas so like to keep it simple but I would like the added kick/snap you get with co2 I must say.

      I had the GHK Glock for a few days, and it came with a leaky output valve in the mag from factory. It must have been dried out o-rings from sitting too long before shipping.
      Fixing the issue was easy, just have to push the valve with your fingertip, and put some silicone oil spray inside the valve. Push the valve a couple of times to spread the oil around on the inside, and then put a small amount of gas inside the magazine again. Let it sit for a couple of hours, the leaking should eventually stop.
      If it improved but still leaks a little, try the procedure again. If it doesn't help, you'll have to take the magazine apart and check for damaged o-rings or debris in the valve.
