  • Lance, Ali, and Mari dive into the Hell of the North and rock and roll over the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift and feel the heat from the powerful hell-raising win of Lotte Kopecky over Elisa Balsalmo. They talk about gearing and the stellar performance of Pfieffer Georgi. You can never give up, especially in a Classic. You just never know what might happen. Every rider showed up to light the 4th edition of the Paris-Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift on fire! Can't wait to see you at the Ardennes, it will be just as scorching. #watchthefemmes

What I also find impressive about Lotte, is the fact that she has no personal trainer. She creates her own training and racing schedules. Food? I don't know. That might be SDW. But being able to prep yourself to peak at the moment you need. Hats off from me.

I felt like Lotte Kopecky had swagger all day, and saved energy, too.

It was a sprint between some of the best track women racers of the last decade. It was really track royalty duking it out:
Lotte Kopecky is the reigning WC points race and elimination and a former WC madison, points race and elimination, the reigning EC points race and elimination and the former EC madison, elimination and po,its race, and of course the reigning road WC
Elisa Balsamo is the former WC teampursuit and EC team pusuit, omnium and madison, and former road WC
Marianne Vos is a former OC points race and a former WC scratch and points race, not to mention 8x WC cyclocross and 3x WC road
Pfeiffer Georgi is also an accomplished track rider
and even Ellen Van Dijk is a former WC scratch.

It was, what it was. A bike race by girls. Nothing more. Third rate.

Lotte is very strong and so happy for her to win she seems very sweet. Must get over to Hawaii for a cycling trip at some point

I feel one of the main reason Lotto win the sprint is that the end is actually a track sprint! Balsalmo and Vos sprint from the front and start at the bottom sprint lane! Lotte come around from the back and higher up and off banking! just as what you see in every track sprint! there is a reason track sprinter sprint that way! it is faster when time right! Also don't forget Lotte don't have to work during last 10k because of Wiebes is in the chase group so she can pretty much have a free ride! however I am very happy Lotte win and she is very deserving!!

Great race weekend then the Masters next week, Spring is here! With that said, I am concerned about Lance rooting around in Anna's drawers. Definitely needs to be discussed further.

Really sorry for Marianne... after 3 Grand Tours titles, 3 road world titles. 8 cyclocross world titles, 1 Olympic gold medal on the track (2008), 1 Olympic gold medal on the road (2012), a resume of victories like no other in any other professional sport (from 2006 to 2013 she finished either first or second in every Road World Championships she partecipated... more difficult than winning the New York Marathon 8 consecutive years or making 8 consecutive US Open finals... and no one has ever made it), she deserved her name written in the roll of honor of the Queen of the Classics... she will end her career without Roubaix in her Palmares... I think if Georgi hadn't brought Balsamo back in the lead group, the chances for Marianne would have been higher... without Balsamo in the leading group Vos would only have to worry about Kopecky... she would have started her final sprint later and probably won... Anyway... she was and remains The Greatest cyclist Ever and the most elegant on the bicycle...

Err Balsamo didn't win de Ronde. It was her teammate Longo Borghini. Why wasn't this picked up?
