PLEASE READ TJ , you have to use tread sealer on intake bolts or you Will get oil in take runner sir . I let it sit over night as well to dry . Also pattern should be thin and in the center on all valve tips or valve guides will wear quickly .... Just heads up buddy 🙏💪😎👍
This is sort of sophisticated John. I feel like you are surrounding yourself with the right kind of people. It was not long ago, You were running an engine block You found in a ditch at the end of the street. Rock On!
I wondered how a shaft mount rocker system would work on heads with canted valves. Very interesting! 25:46 - and John it sounds like you need to feed your kitty! 🤣😻
I'm a Chrysler guy our stuff stays on a shaft but it comes out of adjustment now my friend has a big block Chevy with them shaft mounted rocker arms he got 300 runs out of it we checked the rocker arms and only one of them was out just a little bit they are unbelievable we were shifting around 7600😊
So kinda sidebar but it's still valvetrain related. Anyone have experience or opinions on valve spring rotators? I'm rebuilding an olds 455 and both intake and ex. have em. I didn't even know they were a thing.
John has been building a really great race car. Go John.
John is always putting in work!! Thank you for bringing us along 🙏🏾🔧🔩🪛🛢️⚡💥💨💨✅🇺🇲💪🏾

Titanium valve spring retainers will put fine swarf in race engines as they seat to the springs.
A little aluminum dust is not going to hurt anything.

T&D is one of the best companies for rockers that’s what I run in mine
Awesome job of explaining how to install the rockers & checking the pushrod length! TD for the win TJohn! Great job!🤩🤩
Nice video; building an LS for a tin can and good info on geometry

Big block to the front nice
Did you install the shims on the intake side before or after you measured pushrod length? A .040 shim will change your pushrod length.
Thanks so much for the info. Best of luck.
Car is RIGHT!
Me and my dad do it with the Shop-Vac that seems to work good for us
hey tj i was always thought that u want the roller to ride dead in the middle of the valve stem an u can probably use the same push rods
Pro mod John
Do those rockers come with lash caps
