Thank you for playing my level Carl. After 7 years of watching and 4 years of playing Mario maker 2 it really made my day. I am going through some very hard times and it puts a smile on my face that I made you laugh and you liked my level
Aww sorry you're going through a hard time :( RUclips frens can we get a lot of hearts in the replies here? Thanks for the laughs 💚
❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤ great level!

That magical journey to the 50 trap is just glorious. Reminds me a bit of Emoletional Trollercoaster.
14:22 Im glad "Where are the animals come from?" still lives rent free in Carl's head. Always cracks me up as well
fly away to victorryyy
and get me the fuck out of here
still rent free in my head
Where are the universe come from!
22:14 The door he came in is behind the right thwomp. You can tell because the transition where the screen turns from black to showing the level, the expanding circle starts behind the thwomp. They then just have to teleport the player to the left where the checkpoint is, and then when they go "back through" the door, it's one they had never been through before.
aka magic 😄
You can see it using .25 speed. Toadette spawns on top of the thwamp
RIP boiling water.
You will be mist.
This makes me steamy 🤣
did you find that one on your steam chat
Joke takes up too much space, give me the condensed version.
steamvo
What the fog
The slow walk of shame was chef's kiss.
Stephen, 0th of his name has really made his ancestors proud.
I’m just waiting for one of these “spot the difference” puzzles to go “THAT one had an invisible kaizo in it”
For the checkpoint twice twice, it's because you actually come out of a hidden door on the right side of the screen and then get teleported to the middle. If you watch 22:15 at 0.25x speed you can see it for one or two frames.
There's the same troll in the Lazy Nine#Shadekitty collab "Unfortunate level design" (it's at 7:20 in Geek's video "ShadeKitty Is Chris Pratt of TROLLS")
As an astronaut myself I can confidentely answer the question mentioned. If you go out too far in the universe you'll eventually reach the level barrier which will lead to you being out of bounds and respawning at your last savepoint. Thats also how all the alien kidnappings can be explained. They got up the ship, went out of bounds after a while and then just respawned at different locations.
Spoilers for the movie The Thirteenth Floor
I love how the bingo card has instead become a challenge for troll creators to do every single thing on the board
Also I like being able to see chat and their reactions and the things Carl is responding to
"Okay... so I have to do ALL of the things on this BINGO card?"
"No no, just one row."
"Alright. All of them. Challenge accepted."
That slow ride to the 50 coin is probably one of the Ive seen in a long time.
You have that entire “where is this going” vibe.
you know its gonna be a banger when a few seconds in carl says stevo has lost its touch
Worlds longest stevo
Nope it’s ste
Just ste
I'm so happy that chat is onscreen now, it really adds to the humor of the situations
He’s so hit or miss with posting it.
Snakeblocks don't give momentum because they don't move. They just appear and disappear sequentially. Instead those airport walkways, they're like really scary stairs
It's always a good video title when you see the letters S and T, followed byban absurd amount of E
"It is pretty hard to hit someone these days"
- Dark Carl
Caught a gem in the comments:
"I think having to move back home is the real life CP1"
Veteran troll makers seeing a fun bingo card and taking it as a challenge to obliterate it is iconic
the little green block snake with the cannons troll had me rolling, such fun little rides
It says a lot that i can swear that Carl has used this EXACT title before, but you STILL want to watch it.
It could be a different amount of E's this time.
Treasure Room Architect: "That coin thief Carl will never get ALL the coins in this room!"
Carl: "If at first you don't succeed..."
I love how many video titles are just renditions of "STEEEEEVOOOOO!"
it's so bizzare seeing carl's twitch chat on youtube but i welcome it either way!
44:10 If you're somewhere on Earth and start walking, perhaps incorporating boats and other vehicles but definitely navigating past all obstacles, then after about 24,900 miles or 40.000 kilometres, you will end up at or near where you started. The surface of the Earth is what is known as "finite unbounded," meaning that even if you can freely travel any (two-dimensional) direction from any point, you can't get infinitely far away from your starting point.
It's... at least *possible* that the universe is this kind of shape.
32:25 Man I was thinking there'd be a hidden block GUARANTEED there.
My friends and I don't even play Mario Maker and never have -- but nothing makes us happier than finding a new Carl Video with a Steevo Level or one of his evil levels for friends lol. We get out snacks and drinks and have a great laugh watching it. Thanks for all the content over the years Carl and thanks for the content for years to come.
today i learned that goomba walk speed is identical to green snake black speed
can somebody PLEASE explain the cp2 troll with the duplicated room? I have honestly no clue how he's winding up in a twice twice room there
I explained it in another comment but he actually comes out of a door behind the thwomp on the right side of the screen and then get teleported to the middle. If you watch 22:15 at 0.25x speed you can see it for one or two frames.
@@fosk8awesome catch
I love the magical journey to the carl box. I knew you'd end up in there eventually.
It’s a good day when I can see Carl suffering 😊
20:34 "Steevo's reign of terror is ... .... Is in full-force. lul." x)
Now THAT'S a CP1! Forces you back to the level select! 😂
Goop has two os that kinda look like the spiky balls he spews
Gorp has an r that looks like the hammers he throws
The onscreen chat is actually annoying
I loved your physics speculations at the end. There are genuine interesting questions about the cosmology and the Big Bang model. The technical details of the theory isn't really that the universe started in a singularity. That's kind of an older popularisation and in physics the common take on that is that some assumptions in Einsteins theory of gravitation breaks down somewhere as we extrapolate the model back. So the idea is that we probably need some other physics theory to supersede it and while there are candidates, and plenty of ideas, there is a lack of experimental data that single out a single theory as of yet. The questions about whether the universe is finite or has an infinite past or whether big bangs without singularities happen once or over and over and whether there can be causes of new big bangs within the patch of the universe we can observe are great questions and open questions. There are actual physics models that have various of those features. There is one type of model that has something called eternal inflation for example. That roughly mean that a patch of space under certain conditions can rapidly grow and grow into a vastly larger space. In some patch of this new vastly larger space inflation can come to an end and locally go on to look like a cooling big bang. The rest of space can keep inflating of course and eventually spawn more and more bubbles turning into local cooling patches with various conditions. I'll stress that this is partially speculative and we don't know that our universe works like that. But it's definitely one of the options on the table.
At the end you contemplated whether space and galaxies filling it and so on goes on forever and ever or whether it's finite. You said that neither of those options didn't make any sense. That's fair. Both options hard hard to really wrap your mind around. If space really goes on infinitely well the we really need to deal with real infinities in the universe. There are people who think that is actually paradoxical to the point of not making sense. I'm less certain. But it does bring in some conceptual issues that becomes tricky.
However, the universe could definitely be finite. That doesn't really mean that one goes on to an edge and then it stops. Rather one can imagine finite universes that loop back on themselves (in mathematics one studies certain kinds of manifolds to describe spacetimes in Einstein-gravity). In Einstein-gravity there isn't a unique way to define simultaneity so one would have to make a choice of slices of a spacetime where each slice might be called a "now". There are many different ways of doing that. Never the less one might make such an arbitrary choice and then for example space (a 3 dimensional slice of a spacetime with certain conditions) could be a compact space. You sound like you've got some technical degree so let me assume you know some basic uni-level maths. An n-sphere: S(n) can be defined as all points in R^(n+1) with norm 1. S(2) is what we usually call a sphere, S(1) is a circle, S(0) is just the 2 points {-1,1}. A k-torus: T(k)=S(1)x...xS(1), k times; is a k-dimensional space. T(2) is used in some video games where you have a rectangular screen and if you exit on one edge you reenter on the opposite edge. The 3-dimensional sphere S(3) and the 3-dimensional torus T(3) are a compact spaces. They have no boundary. Yet with standard notions of volume and distance they aren't infinite. These are just a few examples. There are plenty of others and classification of all the options is highly non-trivial! The point from the point of view of physics is that such mathematical constructions do make sense and is a possible answer to the question "Does it make sense for a universe to be spatially finite?". The answer is clearly yes.
11:50 I'm 100% sure Larl has seen this before but just forgot about it
I just keep clicking on these Stevo titles. Never disappointed. always a banger
I really like being able to see twitch chat during the video. Hope it stays for future videos
For the intro level, It would be gas if on the 6th or 7th entry into the room, it just dropped a screenful of lit bo-boms from a track to clear the whole card and take the player with it. 😀
Absolutely loved the slow march/snake ride of doom right into the warm, loving embrace of the shiny death box. :^)
what a mesterpiece.
In 22:16 toaddete was behind the right thomp for 16 frames before sudenly teleported to the left.
20:40
"There should be a second thwomp here. I wonder how you would make it work ..."
20:44
"Ah, that works"
20:54
"Oh yeah that also works"
28:33 that sir was broken track bait. You have a "how am I going to end up in that?" box with a 50 next to a blue platform on a straight track intersecting a curve track. The blue platform covers the lack of an actual broken part so instead of being slammed into the box the platform just drops.
This made me say "are you fucking kidding me" at the exact same time as Carl did. XD
I think the best part about this level, at least for me, is that Stevo's can clear check without needing to follow the 4th wall rule. It's super easy and quick to do and requires minimal effort to avoid the trolls that were put in.
The time left at the end of the marketing level though 69 secs, nice. I can't have been the only one that caught it in that split second after he grabbed the goal and the time stopped.
The character limit restricted Carl's STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVOOOOOOOOOOOOO! in the title.
Everything is possible, with Troll Magic!
That snake ride to the 50 had me cackling
32:32 I can’t believe you didn’t check for Kaizo blocks there, and I can’t believe there weren’t any. Forcing you to beat the level without the coin would have been perfect.
The carl realises his doom too late, the box is fueled by anger and carl, well, carl may hide his anger but the box, box can smell it along with the red aura of frustration swirling around carl. THE BOX STRIKES, and carl, the box fuses with carl leaving him lost for words and suddenly becomes the carl box.
I'll never get enough of that Stevo outro music!
carl: celeste doesn't perform for my algorithm
larl: titles the video this
you: clicked the video
last level was great. honestly really great
Thank you! I'm not really great when it comes to the tech but I can make simple trolls.
the snake ride into the 50 coin made me laugh so hard
Every time there's a Stevo level, RUclips slows down, ever so slightly, by the Es and Os being thrown around.
Poopy Bob is what the fire clowncar is. Not a caught-on term yet, but I like this name for it when Link is in it. xD
42:55 "I have no idea." does not imply "Nobody has any idea." Humans have a pretty good collective understanding of the big bang at this point.
Goop is the spike, and Gorp is the sledge bro.
Next troll contest is the magical journey contest, I can't wait.
Also, those ending trolls of Stevo's level are technically CP0s if you follow the fourth wall rule (:
Troll levels are like an abusive relationship and twice twice is just gaslighting
30:00 is ridiculously amazing.
Have you never noticed link poops bombs, well more to the point the fire koopa car is shitting bombs, check his face change at about 12:14 😂😂
Oh he literally said about the face 3 seconds later 🤣
For the big bang, I think we got the timing wrong for aging certain things. As it stands, carbon dating is a process of detecting certain carbon isotopes. What if we got the rate of which these isotopes become present and that the time of additional isotopes gather take longer and longer like an incremental idle game? It would wholly justify why some of the universe's galaxies are seen as being much older than our predicted age of the universe. It's all about timing. This of course is in reference to some of the discoveries made by the James Webb telescope.
30:55
from the animation, we could assume that the snake block just shuffles its form instead of moving as a single piece, seeing how its block segments stay still
which ontop of yea, casual player preferences, would also make sense in a way
_kinda bad argument cause of the two clearly moving head and tails of the blocks_
Gotta say I love the "tree" n-a shirt, larl!
2 views? Couldn’t be any happier to early for a Stevo level
The troll @30:30 (ish) is the funniest thing I've seen all year.
When i saw the 50 coin box, i thought: "how is he gonna end up in there?". Turns out - that's how!
I LOVE that Carl was shocked to hear Ceave posted a new video ^-^
I think my favorite Bingo square is the one that has the level creator use a little-known game mechanic. The clown car pooping bombs when Link is in it must have been the mechanic here, though I don't think it ended up making an actual difference to the gameplay really.
The universe is just Stevo's biggest troll level.
13:12 obviously the indicator is saying something is moving/throwing the POW up.
30:03 So what is the name of this Goomba? We have Goop the Spike, Gorp the Sledge Bro., and Brian the Mole.
Love the chat being on screen, thanks. ❤
haven't seen the end for if carl figures it out or not, but i solved the twice twice. pay attention to the screen wipe when entering into the checkpoint room with the thwomps, it opens up where the thwomp on the right starts and you can briefly see toadette, you're warped to the middle of the room almost instantly, which creates the illusion of having gone back into the same door.
Before the big bang, things weren't really condensed into one point. They were condensed into a smaller space. And then space just kinda stretched out.
Again such a fun stream with the perfect Stevo ending song! ^^
If you want to know what it's like to go to the end of the universe, jump over a flag in Mario 1 and hold right and run. The level is the universe. After the flag is what lies beyond.
Bingo Bomber would make a great anti. Like instead of a 1-up, you get a poison mush or a podoboo.
The setup would have to feed you a Star every time you enter the grid so you can't just die to the Mechakoopa bullet you're supposed to guide.
Hey Siri, set a reminder for me on December 25, 2047 and 3:00 AM.
The creativity always amazes me.
What a coincidence, I watched a Steeeeeeevooooo video just yesterday! The first one even!
90% of your videos titles are STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and I'm all for it
If the universe doesn't go on infinittely, a way to make sense of that is to make it curved back on itself. Much like walking on a globe in a "straight" line will get you back where you started, so too could travelling in one direction in our universe get you back to where you started. Of course, scientists think our universe is nearly flat, so whatever curvature it has is almost imperceptible, making your "walk" quite a long one if true.
30:04 The Shear MASTERPIECE xD
At 22:15 you enter a door behind a thwomp. I only noticed because of the screen transition
How long will the one screen level contest go on for? I do have a level published but I have no idea how to submit it :(
Holy crap, I'm actually on time for an upload for once.
Absolutely amazing Stevo!!!!!
😂😂😂
The next episode needs to be titled:
VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
What is the song that plays during the science talk toward the end? It's pretty sick.
Terrible idea from sleepy girl
• key coin course
• entity limit troll
• 3 or more key coins.
• key door to flag pole and safety coin at start; with a one way path to get to rest of level in order to get all other key coins.
• above start is a bottomless box with only one other way in, which can't also be used to exit, and contains a checkpoint.
• The bottom is mad of on\\off blocks so it can have a bottom.
• when the player attempts to pass through the box, if the safety key was collected; as soon as the checkpoint activates, the entity that was prevented from spawning by the entiry limit due to the safety key coin is able to spawn since its gone.
• said enemy causes the on\\off switch to toggle, spawning the floor and trapping the playe.
• timeour, or creative troll death.
• if they got all the key coins, its a keydeath.
If it is not infinite, then it is a closed space which means it analogous to the surface of a sphere. You never reach an edge, but if you go far enough in a straight line, you could find yourself back where you started.
Wlfred's comment "fixed track" sent me lmao
If you always gets Goop and Gorp mixed up, just call them both "Mr. G" :D
oh wow, 30 mins after upload! I don't usually get to watch these this early!
Steveoooooo should have set the rule where if you get trolled in the level, instead of dying or starting over, you have to get the flag and then play the level again.
Spike and Goomba saying: come along! We have something special to show you... oops sorry about that.
28:37 That's *exactly* what I predicted, as it would be too obvious for it to just be a falling platform, but it would be too easy to make it follow the track the whole way
I think the troll was to make it look like a broken track
@@Charcoal190 ohh I didn't even think of that
I always drop everything to watch a Carl upload
