This felt like a Magic Show (this is a good thing)
SMM2 glitch showcases sort of feel like magic shows, the way the commentators will set the audience up and then use misdirection to make them laugh and show them something cool and interesting.
Always love Carl at GDQ, and super awesome to have science talk during the run!
He is an internet personality, so you can never know about them behind the screen, but i would have a super hard time believing Carl is us anything but the most genuine, nicest person ever.
i remember carl mentioning the gdq glitch showcase and im glad its finally here. im glad they snuck some trolls in too
its a shame how nintendo takes it all down but the glitches and troll magic are divine and seeing new wacky stuff is always great

This showcase was top notch. I could see it was well rehearsed which made each delivery hit better
6:50 So, I got told by someone on reddit in a DM that I somehow invented the "nomenclature mismatch" meme among a bunch of chats I'm not even a part of, so hearing that here gave me a huge laugh. Glad it's still making the rounds! :D
Though I should note my original comment called it a nomenclature disparity - which I guess mutated along the way, as memes do.
Part of me feels like there may be a nomenclature mismatch in this community. Are we really at the point where there are streamers who are requesting troll levels to play? If they know it going in, is the level even trolling? What's the point?
I haven't seen this doc but I feel like if the end goal is just "making unfair levels for people who want to pause every time they jump" then that is a niche too far and needs some other name.
But I digress.
If people asked you to send them levels and there is a doc outlining what to make those levels out of, it sounds like this particular subcommunity is just a toxic breed.
So I guess the question is - are you trying to challenge yourself to make greater creations or pander to asshole steeamers?

Nintendo could very well patch the "portal" glitch and just add some actual portals that behave naturally but then glitch hunters would just break those!

Carl is an entertainer and it shows and JNEEN is very enthusiastic to tell every detail. Sometimes Carl interrupts her and she loses her thought because of a missed timing, but most of the time the dynamic is perfect and fun.

Nintendo is very ban happy when it comes to glitches. However, we did upload the levels at B8Q-MXG-FDG. No promises how long it’ll stay up, but if it’s up tonight it’ll probably stay up over the weekend
