That’s rad. So much difference with the light pollution. I’m gettin close to balancing the 600 on the tracker. Definitely after seein this, goin out east would definitely produce.

Great example of the ability to get something under heavily light polluted skies. Great work man.

Hi, Thanks for the insightful video. I have a question though. isn't the "Sky Guide" app you're using the Iphone version ? Because unfortunately the Android version one may be subpar compared to the Apple one (2.1 * stars rating vs 4.9 as shown on your video) and don't show the same graphics (nebulas, etc) than the Iphone app.
Sad, I don't know if the app is good enough to provide lens frame size simulation (as in Sky Safari 6/7) but what seemed cool was the nebula simulation visual you seem to have on your version, helpful for beginners, and that I don't think you get on the Android version...
    Best and clear skies

Nice video, Jeff! Light pollution is certainly taking its toll on the night sky. Do you have plans for the Total Lunar Eclipse on May 26? It's nearly completely visible from SoCal.

I plan on shooting the Eclipse but haven’t planned my shoot yet.

@@itwasthelight Sweet - I'm just hoping for clear weather! I usually head to the mountains to get less atmosphere, but it all depends on the weather.
