I love how Nemona is basically someone who beat the League and is starting a New Game + journey just because she's marked her neighbour as her battle husband/wife.
This Pokemon game is clearly made with advanced technology, but it functions as if it was made in the distant past.

In all honestly though I can't answer for OP but the game is so fun that the frame rate, while bad, doesn't stop the game from being fun. Not to say that it doesn't need fixed and should not have been released yet. I understand it people want to wait for a patch or two. I'll be annoyed if they never fix this miss tbh.

@@greensabr200 Yeah, I've heard the Igglybuff and Hoppip lines can all end up being blown around in the wind like that because it's their species' normal behaviour. But I wouldn't blame people for thinking it looks like a glitch at first.

The game has been out for 24 hours and people already discovered a massive memory leak causing the game to crash after 3-4 hours. The cause is still being determined but damn Game Freak like the bar was already so low

The performance issue is kinda inexcusable when this is GF’s FOURTH game on the switch at this point they should know how the console works so far the let’s go games are still the best looking games GF has made on the switch, they need to be better

Not gonna lie, I’m having fun with the game, but holy shit didn’t think it was gonna have THAT many performance issues-good job gamefreak lmao. Also top tier editing as usual.
Still better than Sw/shit. I think they need longer development time. But they’re taking Pokémon in the right direction with gen9 and no one can deny that.

I like how in Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow. You have to press the start button when someone sees you and save the game to activate bugs and glitches. Or surf on one very specific part of an island right after an old man teaches you how to catch Pokemon. Now? They're just everywhere like PDA. Nobody at Game Freaks could have played through this game without experiencing this stuff, so they're features.

It's so bizarre the standard I personally hold gamefreak to. We've all seen the bugs, if you've played it, you know it runs like ass.
But gawdamn this the best fkn pokemon game in years. Open world bangs, new pokemon bang, new animations are good, music go hard as always, im here for it
The literal definition of 1 step forward and 2 steps back. Legends Arceus was that step forward and they downgraded from instead of just having bad graphics and bad animations (which I don't care, as long as its playable), to cyberpunk 2077 level of bugs.

They been buggy from the very first game. Probably not.
I have a vague theory that the game wasn't allowed to be bug-tested for nearly as long as it needed. That's the process that usually catches any unexpected ways the code might bump into itself and freak out. Maybe the team wanted to tweak it more, but higher-ups got impatient and rushed it out for the holiday season or some other deadline.
I've heard that's what happened to Sonic 06, it flat-out wasn't finished but it was forced out as soon as it was in somewhat sellable condition. And I think that Pokémon S/V aren't quite as broken as Sonic 06, but that's definitely not an impressive bar to clear.

Honestly, GameFreak could save this game with a good couple of updates. There's really no way they can't, with pretty much every game being able to connect to the internet in some way, making updates to a games capabilities is pretty easy to put out. They work on a patch that fixes the frame rate/map bugs, etc. for like, a month or two, and then release it. If things like Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky got redeemed, so can ScarVo. Been playing since yesterday, and other than the frame rate, it's been pretty stable, and I'm enjoying it.

Shofu is the only pokemon creator who is actually showcasing this dogshit I can't believe the other ones are eating this game up when they half assed this so bad
I love the game for its good aspects while acknowledging that the level of glitchiness is embarrassing for Game Freak and can often kill the immersion. I guess the glitches just aren't bad enough to put me off personally, I can usually just have a laugh and move on. Though the ruinous legendaries quest temporarily bugged out for me a few days ago and that was stressful until I found a way to make it behave itself. I definitely do NOT want any glitches that actually impede game progression, that would be truly dogshit.
Fact: 'I Don't Understand' is the best song from Trap Ketchum.
I just wish gamefreak just develop game for 3 to 5 years or longer so we dont have this crappy looking game

I can echo what others have said, the performance is fricking abysmal and theres so many small movement bugs, camera glitches it would almost be funny if the game wasnt 60$.
But the *rest* of the game? you know, like actually content wise? pretty good for what we are used to. Honestly I rather have it like this than have GF cut corners when making actual content

Crazy how Game Freak make an actual good Pokemon game with a lot stability issues. Sucks because this would be a good game if it wasn't for that. And a good game for competitive Pokemon if there was actually an option to turn off the 20 minute Battle Timer at least for No Restrictions :/

I’m pissed! I originally was going to pick Sprigatito but didn’t like the rest that it evolved into a bipedal Pokémon. I wanted a sick tiger. So I went with fuecoco. Tell me why twenty minutes later, I’m able to catch a Houndour?!?! Had I known I’d have access to that monster, I would’ve picked differently! I would restart the game, but my houndour is modest, so imma just sweep the campaign. Fuecoco became redundant instantly.
