For the price it’s definitely worth considering unless the dealer has crazy mark ups. Here in Canada it’s illegal to mark up price so it’s a good deal here and our si comes with more features such as heated seats and some other stuff
Canadian Si's are top trim, we've got all the goodness of the touring for less than USD prices. have a black 2023, with rally armor mud flaps and a skunk2 shifter. Just ordered winter mats, black badges and side visors
Of course. I’m a Honda guy. Even though the Elantra have more power and more features. I just can’t buy a Hyundai. It’s a good car but they depreciate so fast.
I have a plan to get a house which the first step is to improve my credit and then get a better job. But once I have enough money for a down payment I’m definitely wanting a si. My first car was a 2001 accord lx with the 2 doors and I fell in love with Hondas in that car. I love how affordable these cars are
Thanks for the great video. I live in MD and just put a deposit down with a dealer who offered MSRP. What's your thought on the HPD package? It does look nice but not sure it's worth the extra $. Also wondering what you think of the seat material compared to leather as I am considering an aftermarket upgrade. The salesman said its much nicer than regular cloth but I haven't seen the car yet (a 2019 SI test drive sold me). I never thought I'd care about leather but LOVED it in my beloved 2013 Veloster which unfortunately just got destroyed. I planned on driving it another 5 years (135k miles no issues). I drove the Elantra N and loved it too, but the SI is plenty quick enough and I like the better gas mileage and price point. Thanks again for your informative video. I look forward to your feedback.
I loved the cloth in my 2009 Civic Si. Leather is too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. I’ll still buy a car with leather, but if I have the choice, I’ll go with cloth.
Good looking Civic, although I would definitely skip the HFP aesthetic pieces. Adds unnecessary costs that add 0 value. White is super clean. Would probably just blackout the emblems, side visors, all weather mats, and mudflaps.
Something is seriously wrong with the fitment of the front nose. You can see it does not line up with the left fender and there is a huge gap next to the light. Surely they will sort that when they do PDI. I like this one and also like the HPD kit. Not sure I would pay more than MSRP just because there are other choices when the price goes up. Good review man.
Great video! In 2019 I leased a 2020 Si sedan in blue and leased a 2022 Si in blue last year. Love it. Got it for MSRP. I do miss the heated seats tho. It gets cold in NC. I guess I wouldn’t miss them if I didn’t get used to them in the 2020. white looks nice. Honda was putting sonic on everything so it lost its exclusivity. I see too many sonic Hondas now. The blue stands out.
I wanted to buy a 23 si last month in Los angeles. They all are marked up and come out to 40k+ with taxes and license. I refused to be raped. And their type r with a msrp if 45k is listed at 60k plus tax and license.
Canada model gets. Remote start. Shift lights, heated steering, heated seats, wireless charging, full digital display….. and its the same price in us dollars. Hmmmmmmm
I’m in market though today I called local dealership They have used 2023 si 1400 miles 35k out the door . No thanks . Wouldn’t pay more than 30k out the door used. I can’t in my logical mind pay 38/40k for this car with interest rates when I can pay 4K more for the type R….. which will come down with integra type s coming out .
I was in the market, sounds stupid but I couldn't handle the USB-A ports only. come one Honda. It's 2023, give us USB-C! also why did Canada get red line lights or whatever it's called, wireless charging, as well as heated seats and we didn't? Might switch up to an SI maybe in couple years when all this dealer mark up, chip shortage craziness is over and Honda can deliver with all the features. Great looking car though.
I’m not sure why but I’m assuming in Canada. The customers voted to have those features. Maybe US customers wanted more of the drive then the features. I’m not sure
I had a 99 si back in the day, and that thing compared to cars back then was pretty fast. It was almost as fast as a boxter porsche s on the 1/4 mile (google it). Now the 2022-23 si has about the same hp as a base model camry, and about the same 0-60. Honda has NOT done a good job of keeping up with the times. If you want a good entry level sports car for about the same price, consider getting like a 2lt camero or an ecoboost mustang. The si is now a gas saver sadly, and the with dealer mark ups, they cost more than the 2 cars I just mentioned.
2lt camaro or mustang not really that practical and the interiors on them suck. but sure if you want to win drag races, they're your best bet for cheap. the Si has always been a sporty daily, never the hottest performance car. the 8th gen Si everyone loves was one of the slowest in its class even in 2008. I wanted an Si but then ended up getting the integra instead lol
The Si never been a performance car in my opinion. Just a great daily commuter that’s fun to drive and you don’t have to speed. I couldn’t compare this to any of those V8 rear wheel drive sport cars
@@ShaiyanHossain The si was almost as fast as a porsche boxter, that's a full on sports car, even if it's entry level. Would you call the base model camry a sporty daily? Well, it has 200 hp just like the si and does 0-60 in 7.3 seconds (the si does 7.1). The si is a gas saver now, gotta take out the sporty part. Only saving grace for the car tbh is the handling. Congrats on the integra, but it's too expensive for what you're getting imo.
@@adim00lah the Si being as fast as a Porsche Boxster was never the end goal. It just happened to be a by product of the engineering work they did.
