Great video! Got my 23 Civic Si in January. Ten thousand miles later, and I'm still loving it as much as the day I got it. Look forward to driving it every day.
The first new car I ever bought and the 11th Gen Si is simply a blast to own and pull up on cars unsuspecting what a civic can do to them. I hope to own this for several 10 of thousand of minds
Bro I have gotten smoked by literally everything in my 2023 Civic SI. It’s not a bust them off the line type of car that’s for sure. Fun to drive alone without passengers? Yes. But drag racing. Forget it.
@juelz4516 no one buys the Si for drag performance. You're in the wrong league. Get a Type R if you're that buoyant. Even with passengers on the Si, you always get compliments on how well the car drives
@@juelz4516you really shouldn't be racing on the street. That's a really irresponsible and childish thing to do. Who cares if other cars can "smoke" yours. God, I feel like I lost 10 IQ points just saying "smoke" in this context.
In the states we don’t get heated seats or steering wheel. Price just went to 30,195 U.S. dollars. I just test drive one and it’s all you said it was. Great review.
I can't understand why they tinker with trims like that. I'm pretty sure Americans like useful convenience items as much as Canadians. Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching.
I think Honda feels Americans are more sensitive to differences in included content and they removed those things to make a case for the Integra. Which is a very mediocre way of product development. Instead of removing stuff from the SI, they should've spent a bit more on the Integra's development and added more to make it worthwhile over the SI. Maybe adding a more unique interior or better yet, a detuned version of the 2.0t of the Acura TLX with something like 230hp.
I'am in the USA and doing some research on the Si what you said about the car is very appreciative also this would be my first manual just like to know if it is easy to learn any information would be greatly appreciated thanks
Learning is pretty straight forward. A couple hours behind the wheel and you'll be fine. Manual is a great way to drive. The Si also has transmission hold so it doesn't roll back on a hill as you get started which is the scariest thing about leaning how to drive manual. Great car.
@@lugnutscarreviewsI remember learning on an old 2005 civic that would roll back on this hill on my way to work with traffic behind me, shit was frightening
For your sake lets hope its a thing of the past. Was coolant finding its way into the crankcase with the 1.5.Although, I think it was mostly in CRVs if I remember correctly.
It's one of those issues that has probably happened to a small percentage of cars and people on the internet keep repeating as if it happened to them and as if it's happening to all Civics with the 1.5t. I saw a comprehensive video a mechanic did a while back. He explained that the issue only happened in very specific conditions and it seemed to happen on earlier cars of the previous generation. Like always people spread what they read and blow it completely out of proportion. My brother has a 2019 civic touring with the 1.5t. He read the same thing and has kept an eye on it. He has never had any issues. No gas smell coming from the engine, oil levels always at expected level. I bought an Integra manual almost six months ago and haven't had any issues either.
I like it, there's just nothing that sets it apart from other civics is the only problem. The past gens you knew it was an SI. This gen its a badge and that's it pretty much
I think it's a big improvement over a standard civic. Here in Canada the GTI is more money and of course is only a hatchback. If a hb is your jam its a great choice but if you want a sporty sedan the Civic is one of your only choices. While Honda (sady) isn't what it used to be regarding quality I think they have VW beat. All that being said... I do like me a hot hatch! Lol
@@lugnutscarreviews the vw has so many sportier things about it from the interior, to the exterior, to much more power and performance. This is like the most budget basic run of the mill car with no real styling that makes it different from other civics
So do some stuff to set it apart. I bought a Yofer body kit and pushed out the wheels with spacers and it’s super unique to anything else in my area Honda wise.
The Si you can daily and love it everyday. The Type R does have way more power but I think it makes you pay for it. Nevertheless I have a Type R coming up and I'm excited to give it a thrashing
I'm looking to purchase one in the next few weeks. The economic aspect of this car combined with the MT and a bit more sporty looks is appealing. Also, *Gen Z you meant, haha, Us 80's babies millennials grew up with tuner cars. I owned 2 Eclipse GSX's in my teens/twenties =-) Def looking forward to the nestaglia! Great review!
I think the new volkswagen GTI is a ton better as well as other 4 cyl turbo cars but its not bad. Not really sure what makes anyone buy this car over cars that offer so much more for the price

Loving the daily drive is a special thing. A friend of mine just took delivery of his Si yesterday. He's already in love.

I like how the new civics look like a small accord! And a manual!
Manual is king!!!
@@lugnutscarreviews always!
Very, sort of a cool but informative. Much appreciated for looking at a car for what it is rather than what it's not.
Thanks. Civic Si makes that easy.
@@lugnutscarreviews thanks got a 24 si after much deliberation between it and GTI 380 S.
Best car review I have seen in a long time
Damn... thank you very much. Appreciate it
Ive got a 23 in sonic grey. Just added the hpd package to it and put a thermal r&d exhaust on it sounds pretty good
It's amazing the sound you can get out of a relatively small displacement.
I just ordered one of these 3 days ago here in Vancouver. I will have it in 2 weeks
Awesome. You won't be disappointed. That's quick delivery time. Glad to see you don't have to wait too long.

Oil dilution problem fixed? How did they fix it?

Correction, I think it was fuel diluting the oil. So much so that checking your oil would indicate it was over filled.@@lugnutscarreviews

I’m debating between this and type r. Si have sunroof. That’s a huge for me. Type R is much faster but more expensive 🤔🤔🤔

For me, it's having more space for the kids. However, I'm also considering the Model 3 as well. Still on the fence but def would love to have the MT.
Why would anyone buy a piece of shit Volkswagen over a Honda I think that’s probably why
Dang...that looks sleek
It really is incredible given the price and that you can daily it with ease
How can u test drive a car and report review without knowing the torque 😢

Fair point. Perhaps not as much fun.
