This review was somehow more useful than any others I’ve seen. I like the POV format and you opening it up a little bit so I can hear the engine better. I just got back from the dealership and picked one up in Crystal Pearl Black and couldn’t be happier. Living in a dream.
The best thing about the SI was that ultra high redline and vtec sound.. they weren't fast, but that noise was amazing.. i drove the newer ones, which are much faster, but if you drive a 99 and compare it to any of them, you learn the 99 si was the best SI they ever made.. a very capable light weight chassis and an engine that loved to live by redline.. You guys should find a 99 SI and compare it to this.. i'm curious if you too would agree..
I own a 1994 B20 vtec integra and just got a 2024 Si. The B series is easily more fun to rev out, but I love the instant punch of torque you get with the Si’s turbo, and the fuel economy is really good even when you drive it hard.
Really wanted one. Got a sport touring. Thought I would look odd at 60 something. Until I parked next to a Aegean blue SI. As I stood there a gentleman a few years older was walking up to it. After 10 minutes I was wishing I had gone for it.
Totally agree with both of you. Part of the reason my knee. It hurts just thinking about rush hour. He was already retired. I still have a few years of it.
As a long-term owner of several Honda's and Acura products, the SI was certainly on my short list. In typical Honda fashion, the interior was stellar, the transmission / shifter was butterlly smooth and near perfect and the quality of the build was excellent. But in the end, it simply wasn't quick or fun enough for a weekend / affordable toy. It is no where as fast and powerful as my daily-driven 2020 Accord 2.0T Sport and still feels a bit sedate and understated. In the end, I went with a 2024 WRX 6 speed top trim Sport-Tec. It's simply more fun to drive, more response under hard acceleration and simply more of a toy.
The high engine rpm was the first thing I noticed. Cruising at 80 mph I was surprised to see 3200. I thought I was in 4th gear. Other than that I love this car. It’s a fun daily commuter.
I just got the SI a couple weeks ago. I was also between those two cars - always wanted a gr86/brz but opted for the SI at the last second for practicality. My opinion is if you think you'll eventually be able to get two cars, get the gr86. but if you're on more of a budget, get the SI for long term. I love my SI so much, but I have to admit, I want the gr86 too. Can't go wrong with either.
86 all the way. It's a different type of car. It's a sports car as this is a performance compact sedan. Do you want a sports car or a performance sedan? ❤❤❤❤❤
Please I need to know if this MY24 civic SI happen to have the 360 camera. Im in canada and the specs on the website says it has "Multi-angle rearview camera* with dynamic guidelines". I hate when automakers cant just say 360 camera or panoramic camera view.

Thanks for checking out our POV, and hope we earned you as a subscriber! Enjoy your new Civic Si!
I own a twenty two s I. No it's not the fastest car out there but every time I get inside it is so much fun to drive. I love the transmission.
Glad to hear it!

We'd love to find a nice, clean classic to feature!
I own both cars and nothing compares to the screaming little B16, though the new one has nice torque to pull it around effortlessly.

Don’t ever let other people’s perceptions dictate your car buying decisions. Get what you enjoy and live your life on your terms.
Go trade it in today. Do it. Just do it.

Fun car! Completely impractical for me, but I can still admire it from afar. Loved the POV!
Thanks! We're trying some new things to see what works, including more of these POV videos.

Thanks for sharing your experience! The AWD on the WRX will come in handy for our climate over the Si's FWD.
Nice honest reveiw
Glad you liked it, thanks!

Good point!
I have 2023 Honda Civic CVT , waiting to save some cash then trade in for the Si . Will be my first manual car too , can’t wait 😁
Should be a fun upgrade!
i just saved up enough for a down payment on one, heading to the bank tomorrow to finalize a loan. gonna be my first manual as well!
Very nice presentation
Thank you! Cheers!
Should I get this or the gr86? The 86 only problem is the space is so small
This is certainly more practical.

@@aremec1 yeah I ended up getting the SI not worth getting a small car and feeling crammed up in there for years

I have a 24 civic si but I don’t have that shift light you have why?
Canadian market gets these features.

Unfortunately it just means that you can switch from a fisheye to a regular rear view. There's no 360 cams on this.
@@PRNTestDrivethank you for your response. I’m so sad to hear that 😢
That's a fun car but I just hate how fwd cars spin the front wheels when taking off. Can't help it.
Very true!
By the way ....welcome to the Georgetown area. I noticed the 401 / Winston Churchill Blvd location.
Close, Victor typically films his content in/around Mississauga and Oakville.
Canadian version has better options than the U.S. smh
Seems to be the case with the smaller, affordable cars.
That's what happens when no one in your country buys anything but SUVs and trucks :/
have they fixed that engine head issue of this engine? cant believe stupid useless notches over cylinder ring caused this issue
I would imagine so.
It's fun, but it's to suttle. It looks like any other sedan. Nice car, though. I've owned four.
Fair enough!
where in sauga is the twisty road?
Just outside the city actually. Legally these roads are in Halton Region.
@@PRNTestDrive just got my Si yesterday and I want to test it out there lol
Nor the temp gauge
True
Soon as I saw the all digital dash I knew it wasn’t an American car
