As twisted as these songs seem it's how people deal with emotions and express what they're feeling without actually acting on them. Imagine being in that situation and hearing a song that portrays how you feel and the comfort and expression it can give you. Great breakdown Mel, I think you got a great understanding.

"Inside the Fire" is another good one by them (Disturbed), but seriously prepare yourself, it's pretty dark and it goes into some serious subject matter. Like suicide chain/spiral places kinda dark.

Finally, a reaction that doesn't react to the version that cuts out the rant.
This is about how society treats people who are "different." A lot of people think they are "sick" and "wrong" and want nothing to do with them.
In the middle of the song, lead singer David Draiman acts out a skit where he is being abused by his mother (not in the radio version). Finally, he builds up enough courage and hits her right back. This is used to symbolize how "mother society" abuses "her" children for not being the way "she" thinks they should. "She" keeps doing it until "her" children get sick of it and are so angry with her and themselves they go out and get revenge for it, most likely by killing the people that hurt them ("here it comes, get ready to die!") A good example of this would be the school shootings that go on around the country.
Getting "Down With The Sickness" means accepting people for who they are so we can all function better.

Carrying those 'Crunchy' undertones and a st8 'Down N DIRTY Thumpin BASS' along with a well structured 'Melodic Chorus'.. Inside The Fire is also another super deep message song...but without the shock lyrics, i promise

In the middle of the song, lead singer David Draiman acts out a skit where he is being abused by his mother Finally, he builds up enough courage and hits her right back. This is used to symbolize how "mother society" abuses "her" children for not being the way "she" thinks they should. "She" keeps doing it until "her" children get sick of it and are so angry with her and themselves they go out and get revenge for it, most likely by killing the people that hurt them ("here it comes, get ready to die!")
Getting "Down With The Sickness" means accepting people for who they are so we can all function better.
Like the Sound of Silence, this song too is a 2020 song

As a black couple I'm glad you like Disturb as much as me as a black man who through real knowledge of learning the history of were rock music came from, black people through our music from blue's,& jazz Jimmy Hindrix really pushed it to a whole new level with his style and backwards guitar playing. But back to Disturb songs there's a song I know you'll love to react to and it's Who Thought You How To Hate, I love that song it's just one of my other favorite songs by them please check it out.
