My shit tzu is 7 she past away from cancer today. She looks identical to this dog and it makes me cry

It'sMegan I am so sorry, I had shih tzu she passed away 7 years ago I still miss her everyday and this is the reason I watch other people's shih tzu on RUclips, hope you get over as time goes by.
Hi Swag Sisters 1, Shih tzu don't shed much comparing to other breeds. People said Shih tzu are stubborn and hard to train...but I started clicker training when he is young...everything takes time...as long as you give them lots love and patience...should be good. The one you saw in this video was from a pet shop...but after I found out many ppl said lots of them are from puppy mills...so I got my 2nd one (her name is MOMO) from rescue organization instead.

Can shih tzus stay white forever? Cuz my mom wants a white one. So can some shih tzus stay white or do they turn brown and white when they grow up? Thanks :)
SwagSisters 1 most of the cases they will get "lighter" when they grow up...mine has mix of very dark brown+white hair when he was a puppy...but the color faded to lighter brown+white when getting older. I dont think white puppy will turn darker when they grow up...but I'm not 100% sure about that.
are they noisey?
I have two...the older one is quiet since he is puppy...the younger one likes to bark...so it depends.
yes very stubborn...but after awhile they will get the odd voice command now and then. My Dottie Jean can do... Go to your own bed and Intruder (which is when there is a big cricket or spider for her to attack...she LOVES it)
our's doesnt listen..we always try to teach him..he just run or start to play bite our hands..

+Jessica Riestra ZaiZai is male. I started training him since he was a puppy. Each trick takes different length of time to train...depending on the difficulty.

Do you get the feeling that the dog finds performing tricks fun, or does the dog tend not to listen if food/treats aren't involved?
I think it depends...my older one likes the interaction...he likes to eat and play...but younger one only do it if food involved. =P

SQonion Hello! I have two 10 month old shih tzu. What should we train them first? We leave them in a small room during the day and they tend to poop and play/eat their poop on the hard carpet. They also love feet and its hard to walk sometimes when theyre around. I want them to be really trained and listening to us. Thank you! Youre great!

+Roel Lim I just mix their kibbles with some vegis (carrots, broccoli etc) and chicken breast occasionally.

Yes ZaiZai enjoy the process of learning and interacting with me...and most important the "treats"! lol

Thanks. What you need to do is walk towards them slowly and when you get very close (almost touching them with your legs) they will tend to backup...and after couple practices...associate the movement with a hand gesture or name like "backup"...give them tasty treats and lots praise when they do it right.

Mine loves lots different kind of food. Vegis (carrots, broccoli, green beans etc) fruits (oranges, apples) and commercial treats. I got mine from a petshop about 8 years ago...about $1800...quite expensive. But if get from breeder should be lot cheaper.

yes the clicking sound is from a "clicker" which use to let them know they are doing the right behavior.

Hi! Your videos are so cute! I just got a Shih Tzu or Shih poo from a shelter 3 months ago. I think he is mixed as his paws are curly. Jazz is 4 years old, he doesnt always listen, but he is very smart. Can you give me any handy tips in training him?? I do reward him, but sometimes he gets too excited over the treat and loses focus on the training. Thank much!
