Long haired dog breeds have to start bathing and grooming at a very young age, so they are used to this. I have a standard poodle that is bathed 2 times every week, brushed twice daily, his ears are cleaned twice weekly, his teeth are brushed 3 times every day, I clean his eyes multiple times a day, every time he uses the bathroom I have to wipe him with a hypoallergenic baby wipe, his nails are filed every week, I clean his paws and face every time he comes inside, and every time he is bathed I have to dry him and brush him completely. Poodles are supposed to have their first bath and shave when they are 5 weeks old. They go to the groomer every 3-4 weeks and they require very frequent brushing and high quality products and food. My puppies shampoo is 25 dollars per bottle, I don't even spend that much on my own shampoo. When he is older he will be in a show continental which will be even more work, he will have to have his hair wrapped and banded daily, he will need to be completely brushed out daily! Mind you, a show standard poodle will have about 7+ inches of hair. He will need even more products also. He is a service dog in training which means he will be going everywhere with me when he is fully trained, I am going to college next year so he will be going there with me AND he will be going to work with me daily, which will make his hair even harder to keep up with. I groom him myself and I bought professional products just for him, I've wanted to groom dogs since I was 4, and I've wanted a poodle since I was 6, I am 18 now and I have spent years researching dog grooming so I am pretty good at it. Dogs like him are NOT for beginners.

I do the same with my Tabitan Spanial. I say Ozzy brush and he runs to his grooming area. He sits like yours. I think comes with the fact that they are groomed as puppies. If an owner doesn't get them used to it dogs will protest.

Great video! May I suggest after you towel her use a thick towel and keep her wrapped up for about 5 mins like a baby, its so relaxing for them and soothing, they fall asleep and cuts down blow drying time by more than half as the coat will be toweled dried first. Both my shih tzus were groomed this way & this method is loved by both ends. In my case, less blow-drying time, in their case less blowy drying noise. It's a win win!
Heres a tip if you don't have dog shampoo. You can use Dawn/ Although Dawn is used for dishes, it gets off lots of dirt and fleas. It's harmless to the dogs! XD Unless your dog has a skin condition. :D

Courtney Vick I get my tub at the Asian supper market, only $10. It's used for cooking but it's good size for bathing my 7 lb ShihTzu. It's also plastic and comes in all sizes.

1 tip I use with my current dog. Scrub in between her toes they get dirt stuck in there a lot.
