- I've been obsessed with the synth motif that accompanies the pyramid ships in Destiny 2 ever since Shadowkeep came out, so I finally decided to see if I could recreate it and use it in a real track. :)
As Lightfall approaches, I tried to envision what a potential direct showdown with The Witness might sound like in Bungie's composers' style.

Good fucking shit. I like how climactic this feels, and how the Guardian leitmotif emerges triumphant near the end, as if until that point the battle has been an absolute curbstomb by the Witness but a chance presents itself to turn the tide. And even then the Guardian leitmotif doesn’t overtake the song, it gets pushed back as both battle for supremacy within the composition.

Thankfully bungie almost confirmed the witness will be the raid boss in one of the final shape teasers. I believe he will be the main campaign boss but instead of winning like we usually do at the end of the campaign we lose and the raid finishes off the story and the witness
Sounds awesome! The darkness synth you're using reminds me of what's heard in Gambit.

What I love about this is there are no heroic sections. Every raid boss has a heroic version during dps as we’re overcoming our enemy and to symbolise there is hope of winning here. Unmade Is purely oppressive and dark from start to finish. It shows we are extremely disadvantaged and how the pace of it goes it shows the urgency of this fight. We must weaken the witness so it can’t enact the final shape. It’s perfect because stronger together is heroic from the start to end showing this fight is now in our favour. No longer do we stand below the witness in its domain it’s now on an even playing field and we are winning

Coming back to this it’s perfect for the witness. It’s so dominantly dark sounding till around halfway when you can hear the guardian leitmotif creep in like we are being given an opportunity to kill this thing finally and it isn’t a losing battle. I hope we get something like this in the raid
This is it.
This is the only fan made boss theme for The Witness I'll accept as actually sounding like it could be its actual theme.
I'd argue that this is better than "Enough Death" both action, and high action.
If I heard this as the actual boss theme I would not complain.
I think it captures the horror of The Witness VERY well in the use of strings and the Darkness Synth.
It perfectly utilizes The Witness Motif and The Guardian Motif in great ways. Most other themes I've listened to have neither.
If I had to complain, I'd say more emphasis on the beginning percussion (it starts coming back later so maybe not so much a complaint but a dirty wish) as well as more Darkness Synth.
Anyways, yeah. This is good.

I'm really not sure whether I want the Witness to be a raid boss or a story boss lol. On one hand being a raid boss would help contextualize the scale of the fight. On the other, the story would feel incomplete for people who don't raid.
I mean, imagine if in Endgame, the final battle took place in a canon tie in game that the viewers would need to play to see him get defeated, and the movie just cuts to after he's done. Sure, lots of people would go play that game, but the vast majority wouldn't. That's the experience if the Witness is a raid boss.
I think since he’s literally the final boss and the whole light and dark saga he has to be the raid boss. Plus just the scale of his power, it would feel underwhelming if he was the story boss.
@@vanix3324 Unless if Bungo makes a huuuuuge ass pull. Like something from MMORPGs, where the last fight queues you with other 30+ guardians for a battle of epic proportions to show just how hard that mf is. So much that 6 guardians that had slain gods and shit had no chance against this.

I feel like they will make him the final campaign boss the whole time hying you up to this is where you kill it this is where you have to kill it but instead we lose and get forced to retreat. Tho we do prevent the final shape temporarily until the raid and the encounters are the witnesses final line of defence to try home us back long enough for the final shape to take place. At the end the wipe mechanic is the final shape being successful and it ends everything as we know it as the universe being turned into nothing so there’s no suffering no pain.
Man this song fits the Touhou characters extremely well

should be a mix of all the raid songs.. or a big raid dream match we go through the best parts of each raid like what Devil May Cry 2 and 3 did.. all the past boss b4 the final boss
Imagine if one of the encounters were nezarec and rhulk as a duo boss with shared health bars. 2 teams of 3 would have to fight one of them randomly. Eventually you’d meet back up with your team and do a big damage phase to one of them then it would be the other next time. Final stand both spawn in
Us vs Calus. Perfect boss theme for him. Or for Nezarec in case he's the raid boss.
Tbh il take what we got for Both calus and nezarec. Both fit there characters this one definitely fits the witness more. It’s sounds like a ost that end’s everything
