My 6.7L has 200K miles on it and all I do is change the oil and air filter on it. So far, Ive owned this truck for 12 years and since retiring it is constantly on the road from UT to NY to TX and back. My Cummins 6.7L continues to run as well as the day I bought it. Thank you to everyone at CMEP, and thank you for partnering with Ram so tjat I could get my favorite brand of “Big Truck” engine in my pick up truck!!

Randy Wiesendanger That’s not my knuckles dragging its my dick. If the inline 6/Cummins is so great then I’m wondering why Cummins newest engine they developed in the Titan is a......V-8????? Jackass.
Jared Lancaster I had, and I express, had, a 24 valve 5.9L in a 1999 Dodge that the side of the block blew out at 161000 kilometres, and Cummins wouldn’t even consider a partial warranty coverage. First and last Cummins I owned!!
I couldn't work for Cummins just because if something started to go wrong I'd think it was my fault and have to go into exile. Seriously though, best engines ever mine has 324K runs like a top tows every day.
Proud owner of a 2002 2500 Dodge with a 5.9 Cummins Engine in it with 285000 plus miles still running strong most dependable Engine I've ever seen ! I'd love to tour that plant ! 👍👍
I worked there when it was called WCP. I first worked there as an Office Services clerk in the 80's and was a chemical apprentice in the 90's. Don Munn was the chemist at that time and I believe he's the supervisor there now at CMEP.
I had a 93 Dodge Ram with a 12V 5.9 Cummins. Now I have an 02 Dodge Ram with 24V Cummins. ABSOLUTEY LOVE THE ENGINE. I think it's a lot better than a Duramax or Navistar.
Now.... If we could get Dodge to build a body that would last like the Cummins engine. My 2005 dodge body is rusting around the wheel wells at a rapid pace. I only live 7 miles from the plant that made my engine.
I use a one ton, same year, with a 6 speed manual tranny and the Laramie cab. It now has over 400000 miles on it with zero engine problems. The rest of the truck I'm not quit as happy about, mostly because of the rust that keeps having to be fixed.
What's your opinion about Cummins-diesels? Durability, power? How many miles can an engine last? I'm asking this as a Belgian with a strong interest in engines in general plus there's an open position @ Cummins Belgium. Grtz
I have not run any of my Cummins Dodge trucks more than 300,000 miles. So I have no direct experience with higher milage engines. I hear stories of million mile pickups. I know in industrial and ag applications it is very common to see 20,000 hours of hard use to overhaul with the 5.9 and 6.7 Cummins engines.
They must not last very long still trying to wear ' out 79 ford gasser hooked to propane so I can upgrade to a 12 valve, probably my last pickup won't get to try any ec engines.
I have checked them out and there is none like the Cummins engine,I did not know then when I bought the F 350 super duty 6.0 powerstroke but I am really working on it to buy the Ram 3500 Cummins and I will not stop until I get it,I even thought at a time if it will be possible to put a cummins engine for the Ram 3500 in the Ford F 350.
My 07 6.7 in my 3500 was junk. Lasted 23k. Enacted the lemon law and got a 2010 1500 Hemi basically for free if you will. In service cleaning my 07 out the service tech said all you had to do was put a 1000 lbs of something in the bed to heat up the recirc system enough and it would have been fine, but we can't tell you that. Hmm.
If any and all defects. We inspect and insure we have resolved all defects. If it recalls any defects we make sure we get it right. Powered by Cummins.

Cummins biggest mistake was allowing Chrysler to put their hands on this engine... their wiring harness blows, their a/c and hardware components blow. The engines will run to 1 to 2 million miles but these Chrysler parts last 100k to 300k at best.
