My truck has 450k. I've replaced 2 def quality sensors, a PM sensor, 2 emissions wiring harnesses, a power steering box, a turbo actuator, a BPV, an AC pressure switch, 4 brake chambers, a coolant reservoir, a radiator, a leaking doser valve, and an injector misfire code that's been on for a year. Every spare truck in our yard (all paccar) ive ever driven has had a light on.
I worked for the Peterbilt dealer when they were still making them in California. When we ordered new trucks we would go to the factory and drive them back.

I love the Peterbilt Truck and KW !!! Volvo is out falls apart! and would never own one and the power in Volvo is enough to power a bicycle only, the paint on a Volvo just fades away or chips off! and Volvo has more noise in the cab!
Its ok little buddy. Did a Volvo driver not blow the horn for you one time? When you get older you'll learn to not make blanket statements about things.
Still like the Peterbuilt truck , do wish the factory would make a dinette with a fold down bed , it’s a better layout for truckers , the European models have better interiors and the need for a higher HP engine !
One single aluminum cylinder head … wow , Used to be 3 separate 2 cylinder heads per - Cast iron type . Big , straight 6 cylinder engine ! Nice equipment !
This junk isn't worth what there asking now, too many sensors, warning lights, it's made bad drivers, they don't know how to check anything, the old trucks did ride rough but if you had the tools you could overhaul it on the road, it takes a day just to get to the engine on these things, 👎
I think, for example, the Volvo VNL is more reliable and doesn't have problems with sensors lighting up. What is your experience with other truck manufacturers?
Yes agree. The industry is driving into a tech crash. If you like it or not things are going to be much easier. Look I understand, for my entire life. What is ahead is the end of the combustible engine.
There isn't enough money in the world that would make me want to buy a Peterbuilt after what they to workers in the Peterbult factory in Newark, California in 1980's , shame on them
My favorite in order Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freighliner, I like the look of new Mack(but don't know much about them), International, If I have to a Volvo and then maybe a Western Star. I liked the look of the International Lone Star but got over it.
Wish there was voice-over. The scene cuts are too short and the text-on-screen is too small. Sometimes when placed to the side of the screen, it's partially off screen. Can't watch what's going on if I'm trying to read the text. This could easily be twice the length and I would enjoy it. As is it's too choppy. I love Peterbilts. If your gonna have one built make sure it is built in Texas, not in plant north of Nashville,TN. We had two trucks built in Tennessee that had issues with electrical when they pinched wiring setting motor in frame.
no one wants stupid electric cars or trucks just another biden flop . if someone ran out of juice I would just keep right on driving past them while laughing my ass off. no dead battires for me , nope
Kinda prefer the 60 series Detroit big 6 cylinder engine - set the cruiser control - Keep coolant Tank full at all times ! Keep plenty of fuel on board --> down the road .
1:15 I stopped watching at this point. When you claim the trucks engine weighs 400lbs is when I realized that you people didn't research this topic. You just went w/ your intuition. The Volvo was the smoothest most comfortable to drive. The Freightliner was next in that category but engine reliability not so good. Kenworth cab space was less than other brands. Peterbuilt was the Cadillac price wise but not necessarily better. That's after I drove professionally for 10 plus years in long haul vans, and later fuel tanker trucks.

Peterbilt tractors have to be well made, top-of-the-Line; they are competitor's tow vehicle, recovery truck, rotator truck, Rocky Mountain High tow & recovery for ditched 18 wheelers & pull trucks getting 18 wheeler's over Mountain Pass on Ice'y and Snow covered highways - I don't see another manufacturer performing these tasks.
Very very beautiful good trucks special but need to be more beautiful made from iron infrontof not blastic stupid glass lights mechanical parts in motor not electric
What a piece of steering wheel holder junk. At this point, just get the Freightliner since they don't pretend to be badass and are meant for economy. Peterbilts are meant to be the low riders of trucks, not modern minivans.
Unfortunately as good as the big Pete's are the Australian built Kenworth are a better built truck however all that extra robust engineering comes at a hefty price difference

Every single one of those trucks will have a check engine light permanently lit by 400,000 miles.
