Disney Wish Cruise 2024 - CASTAWAY CAY! Island Bike Ride, BBQ, NEW Character Outfits, Beach & MORE!

- All aboard for day 3 of our Disney Wish Cruise series 2024! This day we visit Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas - where we find the characters in their BRAND NEW outfits debuting for the first time, and also try NEW activities like renting bicycles, climbing a 40-foot observation tower, visiting the adults only beach Serenity Bay, enjoying delicious all-inclusive BBQ, swimming in the family beach, and having lots of fun!
Each time we visit Castaway Cay, we like to try new activites - we've done snorkeling, water bikes, and of course been caught in a monsoon. So this time we decided to rent bicycles and enjoy miles of beautiful island trails, and ride out to a 40-foot observation tower we climbed for stunning views of the island and the ship! We also found a surprise - brand new outfits for Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto, on the first day they debuted, and of course a chat with Captain Jack Sparrow! We also enjoyed both the adults only beach, Serenity Bay, and the family beaches, with crystal blue waters, and of course delicious Serenity Bay BBQ that features steak and lots of delicious food, and had a fun day in the sun on a gorgeous Bahamian day! There is one more Disney Cruise vlog coming after this that will feature all the special (and tear inducing) LAST NIGHT activities and disembarking, so stay tuned for that coming next! Love the cruise vlogs. Can't wait to go one someday. Probably when we relocate to Florida. We are coming in August 20-24 for my Birthday and staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge using DVC points we got from some friends that could not use them. Can't wait.

Thanks for showing us the bike ride. My husband and I tried to ride those bikes and we had a very hard time with the steering. So glad we were not the only ones! We love the private island!

We weren't even sure if the shorter three day cruise itineraries included Castaway Cay! So cool that the new outfits debuted just in time for your visit; the fab five all look so stylish and beachy! What a gesture on Jack Sparrow's part, too, taking over the whole ship just for you. Just one more reason why he's the greatest pirate we've ever seen. Are meals at Serenity Bay included in your all-inclusive sail price? 11:41 One handed biking making me SO NERVOUS! 😂Those bikes are the same make and style as the ones we rented to get to Toverland in the Netherlands, and never has riding a bike been so needlessly intimidating. We Americans are all so used to sporty bikes...the looser steering and the sharper turn radius on the leisure bikes make it so easy to wipe out! Glad you still had time for a quick dip in the crystal-clear water after all was said and done. Great video! ✨

I went the private beach in Disney castaway Kay the beach water was very cold and I went in the water and it was very cold and I haven’t seen Donald or goofy or Jack sparrow on the beach

none of the lines were longer than 15 minutes, they were really good at moving people along fairly quickly but still making sure everyone had the time to take pics. It was well run.

Yes, character times are in the app. They only meet early. We got all the characters done before 10:30am I think.
Hey for food did they have a chicken or seafood option at castaway key? Also for water bottles did you guys pack your own from home?
Yes they had chicken too, and we brought our own water bottles and also some refillable ones. :) It helps a lot!!

I’m curious , I know there is a strict time to get back onboard and the ships do leave without people if they are late sooooo what happens if you are late at Castaway Cay ? Does the ship leave , do you stay stranded on the island until the next ship comes along , is their a penalty fee or a cost to be housed somewhere 🤔🤔🤔 I wonder if that has happened to anyone.
Yes, the time is listed everywhere, and announced on the ship in the morning. When you get off the ship, it's listed on big signs and there are a million reminders. I don't think it's ever happened that anyone wasn't back on time, so who knows what would happen! I bet they would search and find them. Hopefully it never happens. But I do know that at ports, other cruise lines can and will leave guests behind if they're not back on time!

We all met years ago at Thorpe park :) but no, we weren’t on the same cruise or the same ship this time. I’ve been happy to meet most of the UK theme park vloggers thro the years on our trips to the parks over there.

The water is actually pretty cloudy. Not bad cloudy but still cloudy. Try the glass bottom boat once although I would be careful as it might be a tv you are looking down on. You would tell once you see the boat out of the water.

Hello! I love taking photos with the character … so my bucket list on Castaway Cay is to catch them all … from your experience … what time did you encounter all of them? Thank you! Loooove your videos!
All the characters are out early, and are usually done before noon. They always meet on the paths from the ship out to the beaches, you can't miss them. They do alternate though so sometimes only Daisy is out, then Donald switches every half hour, same with Mickey and Minnie and Goofy and Pluto. Captain Jack Sparrow comes and goes too. But all the hours will be listed in the app.

Nope we just strolled up and rented them! Everything on the island is charge to your stateroom, you just fill out a little paper.
