My dad grew up on a council estate but went to night school for cheap while working full time and got himself an education so he could move out of there and better himself. He passed that on to me and made me a better person . Always try to keep moving forward and make it better for your kids.

I lived in Troon (well between Troon and Irvine, military housing) and i didnt even know estates like this existed! We nearly had a married quarter up here, and my mum kicked off and refused as we had lived there before and she loved it so wanted to go back so the warden caved and got us a house there instead. Even now, almost 30yrs after we left, i see this, and breathe a massive sigh of relief!

I get why some people find this sort of thing amusing, but I find it more depressing than anything else. These people lead such degrading lives devoid of any sort of structure or meaning. It makes me wonder what exactly happened in Britain in the past fifty or so years that has resulted in this. The working-class of our grandparent's and great grandparent's generation were materially worse off than these people, but there was no where near the level of cultural or moral decadence back then. People like to say that it's purely down to economic deprivation, but I think it's a lot deeper than that; it's a sort of spiritual decline, where people no longer see any purpose to their lives beyond momentary pleasures.

I get why some people find this sort of thing amusing, but I find it more depressing than anything else. These people lead such degrading lives devoid of any sort of structure or meaning. It makes me wonder what exactly happened in Britain in the past fifty or so years that has resulted in this. The working-class of our grandparent's and great grandparent's generation were materially worse off than these people, but there was no where near the level of cultural or moral decadence back then. People like to say that it's purely down to economic deprivation, but I think it's a lot deeper than that; it's a sort of spiritual decline, where people no longer see any purpose to their lives beyond momentary pleasures.
This is the reason I choose to live 50s apart from this PC I ignore the modern world, Its horrible, For the record English people have been treated like slaves for years by the rich. Even enslaved by the Romans were were slaves ourselves. BLM No one mentions that part.
