Phenomenal work as always, super impressive to watch!! You've clearly got this down to a science 😹 I am curious, though, how long did it take to shave that extra second off? Was it better pathing or just perfection of the technique?
It took a few hours of grinding runs plus a fair bit of practice to get this run. Though I'm not finished yet, I'd like to get a sub 7:50. At this level, most of the time save comes from micro optimizations. Small mistakes here and there that the casual viewer probably doesn't notice that lose a fraction of a second each. In this run I made a few more of those mistakes in the first half, and a bit less in the second half compared to the 7:54.
The statue cutscene removes your suit, so if I activated it next to the statue, I would have to walk over to the cliff and kill myself to get back to the fire, losing around 18 seconds.
That's some phenomenal routing in bramble, I was not expecting you to just fly straight past all of them.

It is, but you need to activate the statue so that wouldn't hellp.
Why does the statue activate so slow? Is it because of how fast you pass it after talking to hornfells?
It can't activate until the player touches the ground. So the time he stays airborne after passing it is very intentional
