I got married on Kapalua beach and stayed at Napili Kai on Napili Beach but it was before personal drones came out. I cannot wait to go back with my Mavic Pro or Phantom 3 Pro. Thanks for providing this substitute until I can!
Thank you for filming and sharing...can't wait to move back home!!! Would you produce one in the future that has Hawai'ian music as the soundtrack, like maybe some slack key? That would be awesome! :D
Would love to. Licensing is the issue or too expensive. Some royalty free sites are overpriced for what you get. Using Audioblocks.com and am happy with what they provide.
Do you have any other footage in Kapalua on September 3? We noticed you captured our wedding day in your video. We were married at Merrimen's and you caught us walking up from taking pictures on the rocks near the water. If you have any additional footage of that area on that day, we would be very interested in talking to you about it. We can't believe we stumbled across this video and saw us at our wedding!
How ironic. My wife and I were there celebrating our 25th anniversary on September 6. In looking at the videos I have here, prior to the video you are seeing here, the drone passes right over you while you are taking pictures on the rocks with your dress spread across the rocks. You can reach me at stringsandwings61@gmail.com
Does this drone come with a GoPro 4K ? If so I know you are able to record in 4K but how do you display it in 4K on RUclips? I though RUclips couldn't display 4K ..yet.. this is the reason why I returned my go pro 4K black ..
Hello there, i know this is an old post but i'm hoping you will see this before i leave this beautiful state. I'm here on business but brought my drone with me. I've been trying to locate an area where i can legally fly the drone and where the weather is a little bit more predictable, It seems that i'm staying on a part of the island where the weather shifts a lot (not to mention no fly zone due to the local airport) - Kapalua. Where do you suggest i go where i would get amazing footage of mountains but isn't too far to drive (i'll uber it)? Any suggestion would greatly be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Your location gets more cloudy/rain than south Maui. Wailea is typically dryer and a great place to fly. Although in the winter, it can be tricky too. I've flown where you are in the summer. Much better. I've been to Maui with my drone 3 times and I never fly there for the mountains. There are too many wires to fly from outside of mountains. I think you'd have to hike in the mountains and then fly. I've driven farther north, way past Kapalua and got great shots of hills/mountains, but it can get too windy for a drone to fly safely. Look at my other Maui videos to get an idea of good places to fly. Not that this matters, but if you want mountains.....go to Kauai. Amazing views on the Na Pali coast. I flew there, but haven't posted my video yet.
The furthest I've allowed it to go is a little over a mile. After that the video on my iPhone or iPad starts to freeze or go black. I don't like not seeing where I'm flying.
Is there such a thing as a programmable drone? Like, program it to go up 500 feet, North for 1 mile, West for 1 mile and then return to starting point?
Yes, there are apps you can use - Litchi comes to mind - that enable you to program a flight path for your drone to follow, regardless of signal loss. You just need to have enough battery life to complete the flight.
Been to the lavender farm and we visit Paia and Hookipa every time. Mama's for dinner, of course. We visited Hana too. I just haven't taken the drone when I've gone to those places. My next visit I'll be sure to do that.
It's real. Ironically, @12:20 where I am going over a fairway, those condos after the fairway is where I stay when I go to Maui. In fact, my daughter and her husband are there right now.
I lived on Maui in the 70s, and it's still magically beautiful! Love you Maui, always will be a part of me!

I used to work at Kapalua and loved seeing this! Thanks for taking the time to film and edit :-)
Our pleasure!
1:56 It's so beautiful, a vacation out there would be amazing!
Ive never been to Hawaii before. Maybe 2 or 4 years after, I will bring my friends to go to Hawaii Beach. BTW this music is so smoothly and calm.
Great shots!! Beautiful place! I love Maui
such an awesome production...thanks for sharing
absolutely gorgeous. I did notice you came very close to some kind of transmission cable, I was thinking oh shit.
I had no idea that cable was there as I was high up on the hill. When I edited the video, I couldn't believe it.
Outstanding work sir.
Que espetáculo, perfeito!!! 😍🙏🏻
Nicely done! I'll be taking my Mavic Pro to Maui in August and look forward to creating some (hopefully!) amazing footage.
Beautiful footage.
Thanks.
So beautiful! Shared on our Fb Page. Mahalo!
Perfect video and the music goes well with the scenery and tone of video.... Great Job
Thanks Jim. Music is the hardest thing to pick for drone videos.
Very nice!
Nice piloting! Just got mines. Can't find enough time to fly it as much as I want too!
I just bought mine for my trips to Hawaii and Florida. I barely fly it at home.
What is the name of the song at 12:12? It's beautiful.
😍

Show, very good! Used Polarized Filter? ND: 4, 8, 16 or 32?
Thanks. Used mostly ND32. Occasionally, an ND16.

SUPER
Dışarda dünya var be
Wonderful footage! Would it be alright if I used the first minute in my travel video?
Nice job, did you get Litchi yet or was this with DJI Go?
DJI Go. Forgot about Litchi. Need to get it.
Falls coming, We should go flying when the trees start to change. Or sooner if you want.
We should. I'm game for Fall for sure.
What sort of range are you getting? Seems pretty good.
The furthest I've allowed it to go is a little over a mile. After that the video on my iPhone or iPad starts to freeze or go black. I don't like not seeing where I'm flying.

Can i use this video on my deep house mix please reply me?
I love the soundtrack over Airport Beach. Who is that?
All music is from audioblocks.com. The one you are referring is "A Sunset in the East". The file name is "a-sunset-in-the-east-bbc-1215-8.mp3".
Thanks so much. And very well done BTW. Big kudos.
Baeutifull
So...you have a problem with showing "Upcountry" and east Maui??!!! :(
Been to the lavender farm and we visit Paia and Hookipa every time. Mama's for dinner, of course. We visited Hana too. I just haven't taken the drone when I've gone to those places. My next visit I'll be sure to do that.
what software do you use to create this video?
Kevin Stevenson Final Cut Pro X. You want to apply a LUT to get the color and saturation more accurate.
Thanks love your videos!

@12:20 people actually live like this?!?!
It doesn't even look like a real place
It's real. Ironically, @12:20 where I am going over a fairway, those condos after the fairway is where I stay when I go to Maui. In fact, my daughter and her husband are there right now.
das ist mein Traum aber so weit weg Iam from Germany, Meer Strand Palmen das ist es was mir fehlt...
Ich wartete, bis ich in meinen 40er Jahren nach Hawaii war. Du hast Zeit!

too much saturation, not realistic colors, but it looks good anyway.
