I'm sure someone else has already explained it, but the tire tread is directional. That's all Lenny was explaining. He said once the wheels are on, the tires can be removed from the wheels if you need to correct it. Great review! I get mine tomorrow.
Mine is on the way. Looks incredible. It's a shame they went back to gummy weapons. I was hoping that era was done with. I had the VAMP as a kid. Promptly lost the double machine gun, but still played with it anyway. What I want as a towing accessory is the Twin Gatlin Gun thing. That's what I had. I also had the SMS. But I loved that twin gun, thing. There were 4 different towed accessories? I fully expect them to recolor the SMS, but they've been known to release something completely new first.

Great review! In the 1027 Livestream Lenny talked about the wheels. Its just an aesthetic thing because of the pattern of the treads being made to look directional. I found with my Vamp Hasbro put all the tires on the same way so I had to pop the tires off of two of the wheels to get them all facing the correct way.

I canceled my 2. For me, the 2 seater Vamp wasn't worth anywhere near the price tag of $75. After this review, seeing how high Clutch's head sits, I'm glad I did. For $30 more, I just went ahead and picked up an extra Vanguard. Yes, im a die-hard Joe collector, but I'm also not the type of Joe fan who can't appreciate Vala. That being said, I do believe the prices that companies are trying to get for vehicles are outrageous. Especially after seeing a few people with that $25 Tractor Supply Silverado or even that WWE diesel.
The world of RC cars is a treasure trove for figure collectors. Especially if all you want is a piece for a display, Jada makes some decent looking pieces for like 25 bucks. If you have to fit figures into the thing, they still have lots of options for much less than 100 usd.
Those wheels look comically large in comparison to the original... Fun story: I had a VAMP as a kid and took it with me when I flew solo from the Midwest to California to visit relatives. The lady running the x-ray machine saw the gun on the back of the VAMP and had to open up my bag to make sure it wasn't a gun. Even as a kid I knew that was beyond ridiculous. I didn't preorder one, but plan on picking one up eventually for the memories.
Great review! I think the ammo cans go on the bottom lower platform on the front gun mounts. Can't wait to get mine in a few days. That's a bad fit with Clutch, his head is almost exactly at the door frame. I guess it's okay to assume that Roadblock, Sarge, Gung ho and other bigger figures won't fit. Why Hasbro do you do this?? All your figures should be designed to fit on all your vehicle offerings, period.
I loved the VAMP and STINGER growing up. Still have my originals. Wish I had the disposable cash to get this one, but then again, I'm running out of shelf space. So happy to see my fellow JOE fans getting this stuff. I enjoy it by proxy.
Looking forward to the arrival of my own order. Not sure if the helmet looking like a TMNT head is a good thing. Clutch's shoulders are undersized in comparison to his biceps. Still excited to got another member of the original 13.

i have every preorder this year already locked in . got the night force ram cycle today got 2 mms one for the up coming stinger and one for my hiss . diver and infantry ship tomorrow . dragon fly this summer . hopefully the thunder machine and swamp skimmer in the future , looking foward to an armadillo or triple t . And cant wait for law and order and the 90s characters end of 24 into 25 .
Nice attention to detail, though the tattoos are too much over the top on Clutch. Also, would like more weapons with articulation that can be mounted on the VAMP in the future. Love the suspension they have provided like a real vehicle. Only gripe is not being able to turn those lights on, they would have been exhilarating. As always, a nice review.

Happy this set is arriving. Pegs for the ammo cans would have been useful, but that's just common sense. Don't like the way those wheels and tires look loose. Is there a foot peg on the rear to have someone stand and shoot the 50 cals? Thank you for the review.
Clutch looks good sitting in it. I heard the bigger figures like roadblock, gung ho and sgt slaughter done fit inside vamp …..no biggie I won’t be putting them in it anyways …..I’m just happy clutch looks good in it. I always thought the cobra flight pods are slightly undersized and the tele-viper looks kind of goofy sitting in it
Thanks for your review Bee. I'm a little bit disappointed with Clutch as he recycles a lot of stuff and for an original Joe I think that he deserved something better. The vamp it's awesome, I can't wait for it.
Great review: I’m also disappointed in the rim/hub connection. That poor engineering gives it a 3.5/5 whiskeys…. Proper connection… it would be 5 whiskeys! (A clip on the dash to vertically mount the shotgun like a police cruiser would have been a sweet touch!)
Great video. I think my Vamp arrives tomorrow. That's going to be a fun photo subject. The as much as I am looking forward to the Vanguard, the Vamp oddly looks a little more future tech/scifi. (Which is actually hilarious considering its a rejected vehicle from 1982) it has that kind of Aliens meets Halo aesthetic.
This feels like one for the comic fans. I can just see flashbacks of the comics with Clutch and RockNRoll being complete Bad A**es, racing away from Cobra while taking and returning fire.
I only bought one and it gets here tomorrow March 15 , according to the text I received from Hasbro pulse. I think it looks ok but I wish it came with working lights but you know there's going to be talented people out there that will modify the hell out of this vamp and make it look more realistic. By the way,I think Lenny showed a way to place the ammo box in a more secure position. Great review video 👍
I *groaned* when I saw the flex in the shotty, but all and all, I think the VAMP is pretty awesome! Mine shipped today and I can’t wait. Again, this line is BEGGING for accessory kits. Hopefully we see a missile launcher accessory to swap out the .50s out. Maybe a Whirlwind or HAL to tow? But most likely a repainted MMS. I’m loving the mouth on the helmet as well. Can’t wait to get it!

Cool video, I ended up cancelling my order because the more I looked at the pictures , the more cheap it looked to me. Definitely not worth the price but still a cool vehicle.
@beesbattlegrounds I wedged my fire extinguisher in-between my gas canisters to hold them in place more snuggly. Then I put the shotty where the fire extinguisher was supposed to go. I also put a dab of hot glue under the ammo cases to hold them in place. I don't know why they don't snap into place somewhere? Then I don't plan on using my Gizmoduck helmet, so I dabbed a little hot glue on that as well and placed in between the seats. I hate when there isn't a perfect place for everything.

Cool Video my VAMP should be delivered by today according to FedEx tracking. FYI the Lamborghini Cheetah that had a Magnum 5.9L V8 was not pickup by the US Army but the Saudi Arabian Desert Patrol did help with the R&D to help Lamborghini come up with the next prototype the LM002 which went into production from 1986 to 1993 with two engine choices a 5.2L V12 and 7.2L Marine V12 and the Hasbro people that came up with the Vehicles back in 1982 were looking at the prototypes and the Artwork that had been done for the majority of the Vehicles that they added to the series. The Dragonfly which is a Bell AH-1C Cobra was designed from the Bell Super Cobra proposal for the USMC and the them wish list Viper Upgrade Program that took place in the late 90s. I have a Dragonfly on order but I wish they had combined the look of the Original Drangonfly with the look of the Viper by adding the proper Nose Sensor package that includes the FLIR and Laser Designator and also gone from a two blade main rotor to the current four blade rotor arrangement. I used to be in the Navy and my Squadron was right next door to a Super Cobra Squadron and I have allot of friends that worked on the Helo and they loved the platform.
It looks to be really nice, but it's a bit overpriced at $100. This is a $75-80 vehicle, but you are also getting the figure and the extras. Without a doubt, that's the other $20 to $25 added on to the price. I think with all that, it's worth the price, but I don't care for the flimsy/flexi axe and shotgun. They're sculpted nice, but COME ON, Hasbro! Don't cut corners on your deluxe packages. Not sure why the wheels are so wobbly either?? Seems like something that needn't be. Overall though, it looks like a solid offering. Just a few things that aren't as good as they probably should be, but certainly not dealbreaker issues.

My Clutch and the VAMP was delivered on Wednesday, it arrived earlier than expected, I can't wait to unpack it and pose it in my G.I. Joe Classiefied cabinet, and the box is certainly large and has quite a bit of weight in it, overall i'm happy with this figure.

I’m glad I didn’t get a second vamp because you know the tiger force version ,the mark II , the stinger , the Python patrol version , the thunder machine 😂😂 Hasbro are going to get like 7 vehicles out of that mold 😂 not complaining but I don’t need 2 vamps if all those are coming in the next few years ……I’ll probably skip out on Python patrol and tiger force versions unless there $50 on clearance…..I can’t do multiples of the larger vehicles I just don’t have the space …….ill take 2 farretts tho 😁
good review bro Clutch looks nice, the head is no issue if it prevents breakage and Hasbro works on a universal neck system I mean, I d like for my joes to have vacations, or go undercover, I buy legends, and seen Grunt dressed as prof x, his head fits, it looks cool I want and get civilians for my dios - scenes [4] any line that fits the vamp that s a recon jeep, very light and fast, but I d really like to get an olive green Hummer in the future, [ no driver ] Hasbro did 3 in 2005, olive, black, and tan, one was a transport - cargo version I d also prefer a real scaled Haslab abram instead of a toyish mobat the accessories are quite realistic and fun to have funny enough, I d prefer the og colour scheme design for the roll bars and can rack, green it messes the vehicle s lines somewhat, and green looks more military - plain - simple philosophy the wheels - mags design is not as good looking as in 82 though the machine gun is a surprise, it keeps being remote controlled, but one can take them off the rack.... the feeling with real rubber must be smooth and good the winch and hooks are a nice improvement - touch the sculpt is detailed and solid hein? the ammo boxes are supposed to be loose? or just used with personnel, installed, they d feed on some other system I presume, those cases would fall 1 rst curve, come on! mmm, the comparison is great! and ahhh, the ram, ouhhh, this looks so sweet together, lucky you! my Breaker - ram should get here soon, now, looking at this... I salivate man! now you have something going for action scenes - dios, wow and, really, you should build one, you re going pro on this trend, have a channel... it s worth it to enhance your show Mr Rogers, euh, I mean General Rogers! Sir!!! D mmm, I d like to see Gung ho or Roadblock fit in there... They will probably do a MSV and make it exclusive from this. Wasn't that a canada exclusive vehicle with the rocket trailer? And there is also the 4 wheel stinger vehicle also cobra. With a stinger mounted on the back. Which they can also do. They chose the VAMP for a reason, being that they can easily redeco this and sell it again. As with the Ferret, which can also be redecoed into Tigerforce. And heck they will throw in a Python Patrol version too at the end.
Can't wait for mine to show up this week. Shame about the super gummy plastic on some of the accessories though, that needs to change. Curious as to which youtuber was saying to not review this? Edit: Nevermind, I found out who it was. LoL what a tool that guy is.

I found that pulling the ammo belts through about a half an inch makes the sit flush.

Happy this set is arriving. Pegs for the ammo cans would have been useful, but that's just common sense. Don't like the way those wheels and tires look loose. Is there a foot peg on the rear to have someone stand and shoot the 50 cals? Thank you for the review.
Clutch looks good sitting in it. I heard the bigger figures like roadblock, gung ho and sgt slaughter done fit inside vamp …..no biggie I won’t be putting them in it anyways …..I’m just happy clutch looks good in it. I always thought the cobra flight pods are slightly undersized and the tele-viper looks kind of goofy sitting in it
I wouldn't think they will. Clutch is a snug fit himself

Great review: I’m also disappointed in the rim/hub connection. That poor engineering gives it a 3.5/5 whiskeys…. Proper connection… it would be 5 whiskeys! (A clip on the dash to vertically mount the shotgun like a police cruiser would have been a sweet touch!)

Great video. I think my Vamp arrives tomorrow. That's going to be a fun photo subject. The as much as I am looking forward to the Vanguard, the Vamp oddly looks a little more future tech/scifi. (Which is actually hilarious considering its a rejected vehicle from 1982) it has that kind of Aliens meets Halo aesthetic.
This feels like one for the comic fans. I can just see flashbacks of the comics with Clutch and RockNRoll being complete Bad A**es, racing away from Cobra while taking and returning fire.

I only bought one and it gets here tomorrow March 15 , according to the text I received from Hasbro pulse. I think it looks ok but I wish it came with working lights but you know there's going to be talented people out there that will modify the hell out of this vamp and make it look more realistic. By the way,I think Lenny showed a way to place the ammo box in a more secure position. Great review video 👍
I *groaned* when I saw the flex in the shotty, but all and all, I think the VAMP is pretty awesome! Mine shipped today and I can’t wait. Again, this line is BEGGING for accessory kits. Hopefully we see a missile launcher accessory to swap out the .50s out. Maybe a Whirlwind or HAL to tow? But most likely a repainted MMS. I’m loving the mouth on the helmet as well. Can’t wait to get it!

Cool video, I ended up cancelling my order because the more I looked at the pictures , the more cheap it looked to me. Definitely not worth the price but still a cool vehicle.

I wedged my fire extinguisher in-between the gas canisters so they aren't jostling around.
And I'm not sure about how to display the ammo boxes.
I posted a picture on my page showing the best way I could figure it out
@beesbattlegrounds I wedged my fire extinguisher in-between my gas canisters to hold them in place more snuggly. Then I put the shotty where the fire extinguisher was supposed to go.
I also put a dab of hot glue under the ammo cases to hold them in place. I don't know why they don't snap into place somewhere?
Then I don't plan on using my Gizmoduck helmet, so I dabbed a little hot glue on that as well and placed in between the seats.
I hate when there isn't a perfect place for everything.

really because its one notch detail wise away from the hiss . This isnt some $50 toy look at matels wwe vehicles thats the junk you get for $50 although the huge tow truck is on clearance for $15 at marshalls . i ordered one yesterday .

Cool Video my VAMP should be delivered by today according to FedEx tracking. FYI the Lamborghini Cheetah that had a Magnum 5.9L V8 was not pickup by the US Army but the Saudi Arabian Desert Patrol did help with the R&D to help Lamborghini come up with the next prototype the LM002 which went into production from 1986 to 1993 with two engine choices a 5.2L V12 and 7.2L Marine V12 and the Hasbro people that came up with the Vehicles back in 1982 were looking at the prototypes and the Artwork that had been done for the majority of the Vehicles that they added to the series. The Dragonfly which is a Bell AH-1C Cobra was designed from the Bell Super Cobra proposal for the USMC and the them wish list Viper Upgrade Program that took place in the late 90s. I have a Dragonfly on order but I wish they had combined the look of the Original Drangonfly with the look of the Viper by adding the proper Nose Sensor package that includes the FLIR and Laser Designator and also gone from a two blade main rotor to the current four blade rotor arrangement. I used to be in the Navy and my Squadron was right next door to a Super Cobra Squadron and I have allot of friends that worked on the Helo and they loved the platform.

It looks to be really nice, but it's a bit overpriced at $100. This is a $75-80 vehicle, but you are also getting the figure and the extras. Without a doubt, that's the other $20 to $25 added on to the price. I think with all that, it's worth the price, but I don't care for the flimsy/flexi axe and shotgun. They're sculpted nice, but COME ON, Hasbro! Don't cut corners on your deluxe packages. Not sure why the wheels are so wobbly either?? Seems like something that needn't be. Overall though, it looks like a solid offering. Just a few things that aren't as good as they probably should be, but certainly not dealbreaker issues.

My Clutch and the VAMP was delivered on Wednesday, it arrived earlier than expected, I can't wait to unpack it and pose it in my G.I. Joe Classiefied cabinet, and the box is certainly large and has quite a bit of weight in it, overall i'm happy with this figure.

Although this jeep is a hazzard by gijoe! Fuel tanks in the back wobbley wheels and no seatbelts! Cobra h.i.s.s on this with one direct shot lol!

I’m glad I didn’t get a second vamp because you know the tiger force version ,the mark II , the stinger , the Python patrol version , the thunder machine 😂😂 Hasbro are going to get like 7 vehicles out of that mold 😂 not complaining but I don’t need 2 vamps if all those are coming in the next few years ……I’ll probably skip out on Python patrol and tiger force versions unless there $50 on clearance…..I can’t do multiples of the larger vehicles I just don’t have the space …….ill take 2 farretts tho 😁

that s a recon jeep, very light and fast, but I d really like to get an olive green Hummer in the future,
[ no driver ] Hasbro did 3 in 2005, olive, black, and tan, one was a transport - cargo version
I d also prefer a real scaled Haslab abram instead of a toyish mobat
the accessories are quite realistic and fun to have
funny enough, I d prefer the og colour scheme design for the roll bars and can rack, green
it messes the vehicle s lines somewhat, and green looks more military - plain - simple philosophy
the wheels - mags design is not as good looking as in 82 though
the machine gun is a surprise, it keeps being remote controlled, but one can take them off the rack....
the feeling with real rubber must be smooth and good
the winch and hooks are a nice improvement - touch
the sculpt is detailed and solid
hein? the ammo boxes are supposed to be loose? or just used with personnel,
installed, they d feed on some other system I presume,

They will probably do a MSV and make it exclusive from this. Wasn't that a canada exclusive vehicle with the rocket trailer? And there is also the 4 wheel stinger vehicle also cobra. With a stinger mounted on the back. Which they can also do. They chose the VAMP for a reason, being that they can easily redeco this and sell it again. As with the Ferret, which can also be redecoed into Tigerforce. And heck they will throw in a Python Patrol version too at the end.
Can't wait for mine to show up this week. Shame about the super gummy plastic on some of the accessories though, that needs to change.
