Hey! I didn't go Premiere.. do you mean switch to Adobe? I often toy with the idea, but this was all FCP! Yeah it's tough to figure out which filter to get. The hybrid was great in certain situations, but then there were others where I wanted the polarizer but didn't want to lose any light coming in. The magnetic filters are great in that they are easily stackable. I want the variable ND next from Freewell.. and then I think I would pair that up with the basic CPL.. I almost did an entire second video on exactly HOW to choose a filter but I don't think I have a FULL picture of the options quite yet so I'm saving that idea 😃

I ordered a couple of fader K&F ND's from your links, very nice but tend to vignette quite a bit on the Sigma 16 M50, so I'm going to try the Freewell you mentioned if you give the thumbs up on it. Really nice video Alicia and I have to say at an absolutely perfect time. I recently bought the Gobe Variable NDX Filters for my Sigma f/1.4 16mm and 56mm contemporary lenses and was looking to add the polarised filters to my kit. This video proves to be helpful. 👍🏼

That's interesting! I'd say the old colored filters are useless (like sepia), now that you can add your own color grading digitally. But polarizers and ND filters especially are a necessity.

Many videos I watched about this filters. All say, that they are useless in digital cameras and was popular in old film cameras.
