In a industry that sells perfect farytale idols BigBang lived their life like the rockstars of the golden age . When you look at them youmust think of Rolling Stones not kpop idols . They were the first to have creative control and they challenged the stereotype. Their music is dose of reality in the fantasy world of kpop . I read a comment from one person somewhere and saved it, as it is very interesting. BIGBANG can do whatever they want, so this MV is really ...unusual for kpop? A good explanation by Aashna PS: "For all the baby VIPs who don't understand symbolisms in the MV. Bae bae is indeed sexual but it also shows different phases of a person's life. I'll tell you about it in the same sequence as members appeared in the video. First, GD represents puberty, where this boy is curious about opposite sex. That's what I got after watching that MV more than hundred times and reading tons of comments and reviews from Koreans. Sorry for the long comment I just wanted you to know that BIGBANG has very deep meaning in all their crazy looking MVs.

Both the songs are from the MADE series which is essentially a series album that was released over a period of over four months as M, A, D, E series with two title songs being released every month, back in 2015. The MADE album was then released as a complete album with these eight title songs and additional three songs so 11 in total. 11 title songs in an album. All different genres and with different vibes. That is quite possibly the best album to come out of kpop in entirety in my opinion. The two you’ve reacted to makes them seem like they’re party boys but their music is so diverse that if you react more to their other songs you’d know that they’re not just these two songs and the vibe it gives off. Yes. Bigbang were given full creative freedom and they chose to express freely and touched upon all subjects and didn’t shy away from expressing themselves in normal way so they come off as freespirited and partymen in their videos but they’re not just that. Unlike kpop thats restricted and wants to fool everyone to believe theyre some kind of perfect flawless beings with no touch of reality, BB never shied away from being themselves and that’s reflected equally in their creations. Which besides their music is what set them apart then, and even now.
Daesung used to cover his eye all the time because he was insecure. YG was a small company before BigBang blew and BigBang was their very first idol group. They didn't have the stylists and makeup artists of a big company like SM so the Korean media gave the the nickname of "The ugly idols” they made fun of Daesung saying his eyes were too small for his face so he started covering them but over the years it became his signature look. It seems like YG artists are a little more free in their MVs to have female dancers. Winner especially has female dancers in most of their videos. It’s kind of strange because Winner and YG artists are really popular in SK but there have been other kpop boy groups that have gotten flack from Kfans for dancing with women. I won’t write the groups names, it’s simple to find and many of them are super famous. Also remember that the companies control many of the artists - and back then the control was far more severe than today - and could make these decisions and artists had no choice. Most of BigBangs MV’s had none of this as they had far more control over their careers at YG. Most if not all of 2NE1’s MV’s weren’t sexualized like other 2nd gen groups either. It’s not true to say that YG Entertainment was known for this. Over time the over sexualized MV’s died down but were replaced by others types that were still sexualized just styled differently. I’ll leave it to you to spot this.

Study the different cases, dont put all those cases into one and blame Seungri. If you really care for the victims, you should at least correctly identify the ACTUAL PERPETRATORS.
