Why does everyone keep saying that 2022 was a dead year for valorant when it is the most viewed fps game on twitch in 2022 by far.. Literally double the viewers, the most populair fps game csgo has. Also being top 5 viewed games on twitch in 2022. Top 4 if you take out just chatting. Even if there were not that much updates compared to 2021. Valorant did not lose its hype, and its noticable in the content thats being liked on twitch.

Valorant was lame this year honestly. I’ve played Valorant since ep 1. I’m not very good but I constantly played this game it wasn’t til 4 months ago that I took a long break from the game. We had better and more frequent releases last year. I don’t wanna be that guy but riot needs to shape up this year

@@judethomas4580 That player count available online shows that it has grown though. The only time the playerbase lost players was June and November 2022 with roughly 350k+ players lost. But considering that Dec 2021 the playerbase was 19,025,704 average monthly players and 1,839,151 average daily players and for the average for Dec 2022 it was 23,014,487 and 2,301,449 respectively I would say that it was a good year for the game in terms of player count. I looked at the actual data from activeplayer that was also used in esports articles so maybe you have some insider numbers to prove otherwise.
I feel like similar to fortnite being able to watch your friends while in queue (especially ranked) would be a great addition
Would be nice to be able to have spectators in unrated for you -- I would love to have someone coach me live during a unrated match without me having to figure out streaming or something.. just let me invite someone to watch me live and viola
Adding and removing maps to maintain the current number is fine, but I would like for Riot to double-check their system on being forced to replay maps. Lately, it's been Breeze twice, then either Fracture or Pearl, then back to Breeze again.
Thought it was bad luck at first, but then noticed a similar pattern to Bind twice, then another map before back to Bind.

The one thing I really want Riot to fix is the shop. I have been waiting a year for ONE skin, i still haven't gotten it. If they just added more slots to the shop it would expand the chance that you'll get the skin you want.

Completely agree and how bout they actually offer skins in your shop for the primary weapons that you choose over and over -- no I don't want a Ares Skin or Odin EVER -- and if the skin doesn't have a cool finisher for the primary weapons I do use it's junk.. also would be nice if you could gift skins to others that they don't have in their shop... example - my son wants this marshal skin -- I never use a marshal and have no interest in it.. would be nice if I could have said oh they have what you want in my shop let me buy it and give it to you... I mean they want to get more of my $$ right :)

I would like a map, which is similar to Split but with highways, parks and metros in Cyberpunk style at midnight. When I started to play with Valorant, I already missed a map like this.
I think that the temple map will come with a new game mod. In theory , according to the lore, it would make no sense to plant a spike there. It’s probably going to be something like: open the gate first between 2 team, to prevent alpha earth’s India to explode or, for the attacker, to explode it.
bro every map you plant a spike with, there’s no difference. If you’re a lore geek (as I can tell from your comment,) explain how split pearl bind and fracture need to be exploded by a spike. The game isn’t all lore, it’s also a game. Not everything has an explanation, even minor things such as how you get credits win winning a round.
Lore and gameplay should be kept separate when thinking about valorant. I would love a new game mode but I doubt it
@@judethomas4580 The spike is used to steal the radionite from alpha earth ( the defenders ) and teleport it to omega earth ( the attacker ). They do that because they no longer have radionite and sometimes a literal city, like pearl, depend on it. If the map is pearl tho, it is the contrary. Alpha attack omega. The reason I think that we will not plant spike there is because the characters are trying to get to the nexus, the new map, before their omega doubles do. If they fail, omega will activate something with harbour’s artefact and that will explode a part of Alpha’s India. But there is no mention of stealing radionite from that place no where

I'm hoping that the avoid player feature has no cooldown and you can replace players after every game. There are games especially in high ranks where in a gaming session you would meet 1-2 people/parties multiple times and it would be great to have the flexibility to un-avoid them and add a new set of avoided players everytime you want it to.
i hope they will introduce AIM maps/modus. DM sometimes simply doesn't cut it
Would be nice to be able to play/practice against AI like you can with overwatch

I think if they add a few new gamemodes, reduce the toxicity, add a replay feature, add new agents and guns, that would be my perfect 2023, on top of that they will be making lots more money with China, console and mobile
1:53 I don't get how they built it from the ground up with so much first bullet spread, and I'm complaining on a lot of shots I did not deserve to hit, while I do agree this is a great competitive game, I'm not sure if they really made it competitive from the ground up, or maybe they are just bad at it lol

I wonder if the Temple map is going to resemble de_aztec from CS, with some major elevation changes. I'd really like to see something like cs_office or cs_Italy, even though those are hostage maps and not bomb defusals.
They will never make a replay system because they don't want any of you to see how ass the gun play is and the hit reg and hit boxes are xD

I believe instead of adding loads of new stuff riot should focus on improving the current issues. Party glitches, mic bugs, utility bugs and hitreg glitches are some of the most annoying things one can encounter in valorant and that too on a daily basis. The number of times a particular utility bug annoys me is ridiculous. While adding new content is surely a great step but i believe removing the current ocean of bugs should be priority.
While they should get rid of bugs too, adding new content is priority so the game can stay alive.

I think valorant could use some diversity in game modes like an 8v8 or a true 1v1

The only thing we're needing is the possibility for open lobbies, i'm a solo player peak diamond 2, sumtimes i just need to play on a team that i know would do good. The ability to invite players to ur lobby or join a public lobby of players is sumthin i always wanted, i can pick my team rather than getting queued with boosted mfs that belong to bronze-silver, also this will help players that wanted to play 5 stack in rank but only have 4 players in the lobby, cuz u know we can't 4 stack in rank.

Fix the map pick. Playing Pearl 4 times in a row, and not seeing ascent or bind in 4-5 days is fucking absurd.
Imo val needs a similar thing that league adapted to having which is a solo/duo queue and a flex queue. 5 stacking is just too disgusting and the amount of people that are boosted to a rank they don't belong in are doing it by abusing the 5 stacking system.

I think there's more behind the replay system. Maybe Riot doesn't want to make a system like that because cheaters could find a way to manipulate it or something. Knowing Riot if it wad something they could do (which the can, they have the money for it) they'd do it. There is definitely a good reason for it, bur it's probably confidential for now.
They should also do a Bridge and Shanghai map from Special Force

I still play Val here and there but from what I’ve seen a lot and I mean A LOT of people who played Val moved to OW2. I asked my cousin and he said that the comp for OW2 is balanced compared to Val. However there are smurfs but not as many as Val from what my cousin told me. OW2 also has different options like practice range, death match etc while you wait for a game. Val doesn’t. I don’t hate Val I just wish they can improve the queue and add like a death match or something.
OW2 is dying as well. People are switching from OW2 to Valorant and from Val to OW2. I was a OW2 player but moved to Val

Idk what they should add but honestly 2022 made valorant feel stale, there wasn't anything super big that they added that made the game fun to play again.
It's great that Riot is addressing smurfs in ranked but the harm for additional adoption of the game is done in unrated - I see smurfs all the time and the match making is horrible - for those of us who enjoy just playing the game and learning new agents they need to move this smurf detection all through the game and have better unrated match making so those of us who are trying to play for fun and learn just don't get instant one tapped in every round by the "level 3 jett" -- yeah right.. -- I also completely agree that they need to provide additional game modes for broader appeal - due to the current ranking system I can't even play any ranked games with my son cause he's so much higher ranked than me now at some point I get that but in the low to mid elo tiers if you're grouped up with someone it should be allowed not all of us have the luxury of a full team -- another feature I'd like to see in these games would be to have an option for speach to text translation for filtering capabilities - I've not moved into using full voice coms because of the ridiculousness of some people, being gross and just toxic for the game play -- in text chat it can filter this stuff out pretty easy .. and yes I know you can mute but that's after the fact - sure would be nice if you could just talk have the voice real time transcribed into team chat -- ok End Rant -- otherwise I love the game and it's still a lot of fun.. I'll be honest, hearing that they "will" do something about smurfs and throwers makes me want to put the game aside until they do. Awareness to an issue is nothing to pat yourself on the back for. Saying you will do something about it is what lazy people say. The last 3 maps have been a massive fail. Harbor is so boring. And removing split was a terrible idea. I like the game, but it's come to the point where is just a time waster. The focus for rewards eg kda over team work was a stupid idea. Receiving no points for planting and defusing, especially as a clutch play is just 👏. The only kills that should be counter are the impactful ones

The fact Valorant still doesn't have a replay viewer is just insane to me. Especially when they're pushing it into esports and a path to pro, people want to improve and it's a commonly known fact that one of the best ways to learn is by rewatching your own games and analyze them.
The cynic in me thinks it might reveal lag that is hidden to the player and obvious after seeing both perspectives

They won't make one, you would see how the ping advantages work in the game/how weak their anti cheat actually is, there are more closet cheaters than anyone would think, especially between Diamond-Ascendant usually boosting.

Let's hope "premier" or whatever the tournament feature is doesn't end up like league's clash.
They should add more features from league, like:
Replays (Good feature to look what happened, detect cheaters etc.)
Mastery scores (fun to track how much you played with an agent)
Proper agent selection (to combat instalocking a bit which would benefit team comps at least in comp)
And potentially skins for agents
Commendation should be a complementary feature released with avoidance, like what they do in OW

personally i think there should be a way to toggle on all maps in swiftplay. since it's so casual, it would be nice to be able to play on all my favorite maps. rotating maps makes sense for ranked/unrated though since it's more esports orientated though.
