  • In this video, we show the panhard correction kit and how it can be used to correct the geometry of your truck. This kit will help bring the geometry the truck had when it was at factory height. This kit will work on a Toyota 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, Lexus GX470, and 460. The panhard bar is also known as the track bar.

    Just a helpful tip. Do not ever do a stitch weld on any structural or load bearing part. Machine setup sounded good but the weld is a little cold. Either turn the wire speed down or turn up the heat. Good job on the prep/fitment and beveled edge.

    • @therealSIRBOOM

      Was going to comment the same thing. Why do a continuous stitch weld here when you can easily run a full weld end to end? Odd... the shop needs to get some like-gauge plate and learn to weld this right.

    1) Nice looking weld 👍🏻
    2) 1/2 assed video if you can't show it on the ground finished. What were you thinking when you posted this. Learn how to make a complete Video
    3) The FJ tipping over had NOTHING to do with the panhard bar.

    great mod. PCK fixed my: 1. centered my axle after a 3 inch lift. 2. fixed my high speed rear dump steer. 3. made the roll over angle closer to stock, less tipsy on off camber situations.

  • @lonesomecricket7721

    I have a 3 inch lift on my 07 FJ Cruiser and their isn’t much change to the angle of the P Rod from the stock position.
    I think this applies more for lifts over 3 inch’s.

      Yup this is not even needed until passed 3”. And the real way to do it is not to only raise it but to also extend the pivot points. This is just the cheap way of doing so ppl can use the stock pan hard bar.

    Honestly debatable...I have my 4runner lifted moderately with no issues at all with stock panhard. I will say with the 2" lift I have the stock panhard is still nearly level. Rear weight with lift can make this very subjective.

    • @Runnin4Tacos
      @Runnin4Tacos  2 года назад

      Many people don't install this and have no issues, just like anything else that you can do to the truck. It is just recommended to fix geometry

    Thanks for taking the time to do the videos man. My question is: if you have a stage 3 or up lift that comes with an adjustable panhard bar is this mod still needed or is the point of the adjustable panhard to correct the issue by itself?

  • @yourdailyblockchain

    Thanks - do you need to test the pan hard bar angle while the vehicle is lifted off the ground or at full droop? I have a 2" rear lift springs but on the ground my pan had bar is pretty level. I do have KDSS so maybe it's compensating?

    Love this video, I think and hope it will help me fix an unsolved problem on my GX470. Prior to my lift kit, one side of my rear was higher than the other, I would say about 1". I figured it could be the airbags but the airbags were fine. I then had the chance to get the Eibach Lift Kit and got it lifted, now I noticed one rear side is much higher (1.75" to 2") than the other, and whether or not this is related, one of my rear tires is more in while the other is out, I would say less than half an inch. Would this Panhard Kit help my scenario or could it be something else? I'm starting to think it would at least fix my axle since you mention it could move while driving (left/right)!

  • @mattgrover3096

    If the pan hard bar was correctly installed at factory to keep the diff centered throughout the entire stroke.... Then even if you lifted it (setting it lower in stroke at ride height) it still will be correct throughout the complete stroke......, change my mind.

    • @fltllc4136
      @fltllc4136 2 года назад

      Wrong. The more you lift it with a stock pan hard bar, the axle will shift over to passenger side. So depending on the lift height / static ride height , you could be rolling down the street with the rear axle sticking out more on the passenger side vs driver. This kit helps keep the axle centered at a specific ride height. I just don’t think it’s even needed for anything 3” or lower. And then we we talking true long travel , you actually want the pivot points further apart and using a longer pan hard bar. This will have the axle swinging less left ton right thru long travel stroke.

      @@fltllc4136 You seem knowledgeable. What exactly does an "adjustable" panhard bar do? If you please.

    • @fltllc4136

    • @fltllc4136
      @fltllc4136 2 года назад +1

      Trying to help you under stand. It’s simple geometry. No the axle does not stay centered through out the suspension cycle even on a factory vehicle. It can’t. It pivots from one side. Now if you are talking about a triangulated upper links , then a pan hard bar is not needed. That set truly keeps it centered. Only reason why they don’t do it from factory is because of fuel tank location.
