    23hr Economy UK to Australia Flight | TRAVEL DAY London to Sydney vlog | Qantas Airbus A380
    G’day & Hello There!
    Welcome to a new vlog series. Here’s something a bit different… 2 Travel days for the price of 1 😅
    Same flights… different days.
    We are finally travelling to Rob’s birth country of Australia. More specifically, Sydney. Follow us as we start our two 23 hour flights with short layovers in Singapore Changi Airport. We’re flying Qantas economy all the way too (we must be crazy)
    See how we cope with the long haul flight from London Heathrow to Sydney, but also how Darren copes with his first solo flight 😅
    We have 2 weeks of Australian adventures to share with you, and we’d love you to come along with us.
    If you’re new here, welcome (don’t forget to like and subscribe) if you have been here before… A deep thank you for all the support, likes, subscribes, comments you’ve all continued to give us. It makes our hobby even more worthwhile.

    Remember the food on flight is made and sourced in the city you departed from. Hopefully it will be better on the way back. Enjoy Australia ❤

    It was really good to see two different experiences on the same route. My partner and I will be doing this route in March from London to Sydney, however we will be continuing to Auckland. Really enjoyed the review, as it gives me something to look forward to. Thanks.

      It’s a much more activity based city. The fitness trend is everywhere too. Bear in mind they have a lot more space per person, so it never feels as hectic as London. We certainly loved the vibe of Sydney. Thanks so much for watching

    Qantas doesn’t have wi fi on international flights except those random flights operated by A330 D and 737s.
    All domestic flights have it. Qantas excuse is a lack of demand but also the cost of filling in satellite coverage on the trans pacific flights is exorbitant.
    A train from International terminal to Bondi Junction would be a quick and cheap option. Cab or Uber from there. Your atm cards work on our system. Just tap on and off on any transport. Always thank the bus driver. Bit of a cult thing to do. Hope you enjoyed your stay. 😊

    • @RobboAndGent
      @RobboAndGent  5 месяцев назад

      Yeah we discovered that option when we got home. We were lucky to be staying a few minutes walk from Bondi Junction, and often use the ATM cards for travel. We always thank the driver regardless of which country he he he.
      Thanks so much for watching

    Qantas would be my last choice for this route. They have fallen way behind competitors in many areas. Nice video!

      Thanks for watching Colin. We did look at others but most of the options went through Dubai, which we would rather avoid. We may try a different carrier next time though.

    I would love to go but don’t think I could manage 24 hrs in Economy! My husband is 6’3” and would really struggle, so business it would have to be and at over £14k for two round trip tickets are just not justifiable. Great insight though….oh and I shuddered at the wooden cutlery….I would starve as wooden cutlery or lollipop sticks anywhere near my mouth make me feel sick!

    • @RobboAndGent
      @RobboAndGent  5 месяцев назад +1

      Rob is 6’3” and he struggles with the middle seats (keep an eye out for our return flight at the end of the series) but he’s happy as Larry on either the isle or much better the bulk head seats. We would’ve chosen them but they had already been booked up. Our flights were sold out both ways sadly. We got our return flights for £1200 for the both of us.
      A spork/plastic cutlery is always good to have just in case. We normally take them if we go to Florida for the food in the parks. I was pleasantly surprised at my comfort level on the window seats. Made myself a nice nook.
      Thanks so much for coming along with us.

      @@RobboAndGent How interesting! Our son and his girlfriend are off there in January 26 for a month to see if they like it with a view to moving out there. He has almost completed his solicitor training and she is a qualified teacher. If they do move out there then it’s going to be a regular jaunt for us and I guess we are going to have to suck it up. I think we could justify the Premium Economy fare and go for bulkhead/exit row seats with the extra leg room.
      I have to watch your NYC video’s yet, I have visited there over a dozen times and love it! Thanks for the heads up on the cutlery though, I felt sick when I saw it! I will keep an eye out for the return leg of your video’s and to get the return fare for both of you for £1200 is a steal!
