Love it!!!! I needed this info brah!!!! Most people just refer to lawn issues as fungus and don't identify or know how to identify the disease!!! Keep working and ill keep learning. Peace!!!!
@@PoloFieldsLawnService Man it seems is though this time of the year, no matter what preventative measures I take, I always seem to fight disease pressure. Drives me CRAZY
Azoxystrobin is another great fungicide to use for leaf spot/melting out.. should also be noted to stop watering your lawn immediately if you see this fungus and let it dry out for 5-10 days
Yes, sir, if a fungus is present and I'm spraying a fungicide, I will let it sit on the grass for a while 👍🏾 Azoxystrobin is what I call "THE big guns" from the strobin family
I love all your videos. I think I have melting out or leaf spots after watching. I put down Scotts Disease EX once in May and June a couple weeks ago before watching. How do I know if it's bugs or fungus? Should I add this fungus treatment on top of Disease EX? Do you know anyone in Dallas you can refer me to? Doris
Hello Ms. Doris, first of all, THANK YOU for your support. I greatly appreciate you. Second, I don't know of anyone in the Dallas area. My apologies. Third, if you're using the products from big box stores like Disease-x or Bioadvanced, Disease-x is gonna be your best bet. Now you can spread Disease-x and then spray Bioadvanced on top of it to give it that foliar coverage, but those 2 will be your only options if you're not gonna use a professional product. Fourth, if it is a leaf spot disease, you will see black spots on the grass blades. If it's melting out, the grass blade will be yellow. Last but not least, if it's bugs like, for example, "grub worms," you will be able to pull the grass up with no straining because they will eat your grass roots. I hope this information helps 🙏🏾
2oz per 1,000/gallon. So if you have a 4 gallon backpack sprayer and your covering 2,000sqft, you would need a total of 4oz to cover the 2,000sqft(2oz per 1,000). If your covering 4,000sqft with a 4 gallon sprayer then you would need 8oz to cover the entire area.
Great video! Definitely got a sub from me 💪🏽 I posted this in my local lawn care nuts page and nobody knew what it was. Did this app help out the leaf spot in that lawn? Safe to use with prodiamine or fertilizer? Just put down both of these yesterday & im needing some of this now after finding this under my green grass
Hello Gally, First, I wanted to thank you for your sub and support. Second, that application from the Propiconizole did clear up in a couple of weeks. Third, yes, you can tank mix it with Prodiamine or a fertilizer. Remember, just because you see some browness of the grass blades down in the canopy doesn't mean that you have a fungus. Some grass blades die off, but the plant produces newer tillers for new grass blades. If you have melting out, it will stand out like a soar thumb because a lot of the tips of the grass blades will have a golden yellow type of color to it. In this video, I show you an area that isn't affected, then I walk into the affected area, and you see how the tips of the grass blades are turning yellow. Hope this helps 🙏🏾
Bro! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been trying to understand what’s been going on and I knew I had a fungus but didn’t know what it was and this video confirmed it. Now I have a plan of attack to take care of it! Seriously thank you!
If your entire lawn is stressed out, start there first with giving your lawn some water at the appropriate times. Putting a fungicide on a stressed-out lawn won't do anything.
@@PoloFieldsLawnService I am watching your channel now and hopefully I will be more prepared next year lol. So, we are getting 2+ inches rain today ..YAY! do I treat for fungus in the next couple of days or mow first and wait a bit ? It's not the whole lawn just certain areas same with the heat stress Thanks for all your help. Much appreciated!!
@@LittlePieceOfHeaven.65 Thank you for your support. Treat for fungus now. The mowing can wait. Most lawns will have trouble areas in them. Either those areas aren't receiving air flow or their near a structure that is holding heat. That's typical in lawns. That's why I say it's also a good thing for you to see these troubled areas because you'll know where they are and will be better prepared for it in the years to come.
Hello Rifle Bear, I wish there was a easy button to fungus but there isn't. However, I do have a Playlist that is just for lawn fungus that you can check out if you have time. I speak about different fungus, what to look for and how to treat them. If you haven't already found it, I hope it will be helpful to you.
Hi polo I think I'm seeing that in my lawn leaf spot it just started about 2 week or 3 weeks ago when The Lawn Man was cutting the grass it could be that he's spreading it on the grass because my neighbors is like that too now we didn't have that before.would it do any good if I treat my lawn and nobody else treat theirs would it come back or never go away 🤔
Treating it will definitely help it to heal and help it from spreading. This disease will affect the whole plant so if it is spreading, it's best to get a fungicide into the plant to stop it.
If the disease is already present, allow the sprayed area to completely dry before irrigation. When applying Propiconizole as a preventive, water product in after application.
How long would you say that would be before running my irrigation system to water it in? A few hrs? 12hrs? Also, is it better to spray this in the morning, afternoon or late afternoon. How much water should I use to water it in? 10 mins a zone?
Is DiseaseX or bioadvance safe on new sod? My grass was out in about 3 weeks ago and I’m noticing this fungus probably from overwatering the new turf. I read some reviews that this product turned their lawn yellow. Is it safe for the grass?
Aerate and seed, then put down Propiconizole on top of the seed. Propiconizole will not only protect your lawn from a fungus, but it will protect your new seed as well.
propaconazole will create this same effect. I have noticed over 2 seasons using that fungicide as the days warm up, that the leaf blades of turf will start showing that same pattern and color, even when spraying in the evening. Is eagle 20ew less toxic on turf?
Hello Chevy, are you rotating the fungicides? I used only Propiconizole on this particular application and it worked great. If your not getting any results from it, switch to eagle which is another great product for Melting out and Leaf Spot.

It depends on the weather. I would say the longest is a couple of weeks before it's completely gone

Cut your lawn to help keep fungus out..
Fungus can get in your lawn if it's 4 inches tall, like tall fescue or an inch tall like Bermuda grass.

Gotta be ahead of it this fall. It CAN take your lawn out when it reaches the melting out phase if not taken care of.
