Took this in to my bass teacher in 94 when I was learning. He worked on it for 30 minutes and still got it wrong! Got me close enough to eventually figure it out on my own. That first Rancid record was/is absolutely amazing and seems under-appreciated in the catalog.

Wao, I was playing this 95% correct for 29 years (learned by ear)!
    Only differences are:
    1. I can do the hammer on / pull off pretty hard and spot on with my pinky, but, I guess I was missing the slide.
    2. I always played the chromatic rundown on the wrong string; instead playing it on the 2nd string, I played it on the 3rd string, going down from D to C, instead of G to F octaves (Problem fixed!).
    3. I always ended the last part on A# instead of A, BUT, I think Matt could agree with me that A# is the correct musical progression of that scale (in 0:51 he ends on the A# like I do, jejeje!).
Other than that, now I can play it the way it was invented.
    Thank you, Matt!

I also own an upright bass aswell matt, never did get pickups for it. I literally just played a couple of demented are go tracks and that was it for me. :P
I think i felt i wanted it, but in the end i just didn't have people to play with and practice for.
i'm sure you can handle a tab reel yourself, but if you can't i might be able to fix up a small program for ya free of charge. Least so you wouldn't have to go into MS paint and drag the circles u know, Just type a number and position them for you, shouldn't be too hard. Get the stills and edit them in beat, or use it for something else.

I’d love for you to also touch on how you’re making the decisions that you made. It’s cool to see you play through a song at speed. It’s helpful for you to go slow and show the fingering and technique. But I’d really love to hear, “This song is in the key of X and the guitars are playing chords X-Y-Z, so while the guitars are on chord X, I’m starting with that root note but doing this run using the 2nd, 4th and 5th of X and then in order to meet the guitars on chord Y, I’m doing…”
