What a year in a world of punk it was! Awesome format and video, keep up the great work, guys! Hope you'll gather again for another installment of draft series.
I've already started compiling 2001, I think it's an equally stacked year, but I plan to do a Best of the Year series from 1991-current over time. Thanks for watching!
Good to see Matt back and killing it out the gate taking PTW as the first overall pick. Greatest Story Ever Told dropping to round 4 and Weakerthans at the end of round 7 were my shocks of the draft. Big ups to Louis for snagging both of these legends. No one took ETID, Thrice, Coheed, or None More Black, well shit. Hot Damn! is probably the record I listened to most around that time. No hate for So Long, Astoria, that record still holds up as an all time summer jammer. Tough call but I'm giving the win to Matt because 1. He has PTW and Against Me! back to back 2. Streetlight Manifesto and 3. He has the most versatile list, metalcore, hardcore, punk and ska. Louis was a close second. Thanks for helping me kill an hour at work.
We are here to help get through work haha - This should have honestly been more rounds but we didn't start until pretty late and I couldn't figure out a way to display all the picks where they were visible. I've been tweaking the format for 2001, hoping every one enjoys the changes
My favorite albums, from the list, from this year. I wouldn’t even know where to start whittling it down Sing The Sorrow - AFI Good Mourning - Alkaline Trio So Long Astoria - The Ataris Anchors Aweigh - The Bouncing Souls In Keeping Secrets Silent Earth 3 - Coheed and Cambria Casually Dressed & Deep In Conversation - Funeral For A Friend No Gimmicks Needed - Kill Your Idols Stories and Alibis - Matchbook Romance 40 Hour Train Back To Penn - The Movielife CVA - Paint It Black Indestructible - Rancid(yeah, I said it 😁) Revolutions Per Minute - Rise Against 1985 - Rufio Exit English - Strike Anywhere The Artist In The Ambulance - Thrice
Great vid guys...John won the draft...followed by Louis.. there isn't one album in Bobby's that I like tho so he gets last place imo😅 but to each their own
@@PunkRockRadar @PunkRockRadar well I'm a big gob fan...they used to tour my town all the time in the 90s...and that ataris album isn't my favorite one of theirs...but it's solid ...you first 3 tho 🔥
John won followed by Louis. But not picking Good Riddance is a crime even if it is one of their weaker albums. Also you're all wrong about Dropkick Murphys. Do or Die is great album. All the other ones blow except when I'm really wasted
Bound by Ties has never connected with me, even though I think it's solid throughout. I just remember being blown away by symptoms and there isn't many moments on BBT that hit me the way that one did.

Love it! What a great year! Would be hard to pick from this list. Keep up the great work!
It's got to be the best year for releases in my lifetime, have to see how a few more years look, but this will be hard to beat

no love for None More Black, Strike Anywhere or Thrice, Louis killed it
I considered Thrice with my last pick, probably wouldn't have lasted another round

Haha I'm glad I'm getting some votes, I thought the back half of my draft may turn some people off

Great lists. Great year. I’d add “The Empire Strikes First” from Bad Religion.

03 was peak emo imo love take this to your grave, sing the sorrow, translating the name, etc. So much classic stuff that still holds up 20 years on
I can't believe Sing the Sorrow didn't get picked, I thought that would go in the top 3 rounds
This is nice 👍🏻
Thanks for checking it out!
No Rancid or Frenzal Rhomb :o
