Didn’t catch too much this year, not many alternative pics but my top 5 something like Alkaline trio Krang Neck deep Bayside Fidlar Liked the mean jeans record, sum 41 (in part), four year strong
The Corps, F.O.D, Plastic Smile, Implants, Krang, Half Past Two, Less than Jake, Origami Angel, and hike the peak would be my updated list. What happened to the upcoming release list on punk radar website? Joe Jennings MVP's isn't an all punk album. It has punk, power pop, garage rock, surf rock, and rock n roll. I went to relisten to it and it wasn't very good as I initially thought. Street Panther isn't really punk. It's genres is listed as garage rock and glam. It honestly sounds like an AC/DC copycat so if you like AC/DC you might like it. It was just kind of a filler because I hadn't found a ton of great punk albums so it was more of a filler although after watching this video, I discovered The Corps record, The Plastic Smile record, and Hikethepeak. Great records. I need to go back and listened to that Sum 41 record again.
Just saw Johnny Baseball with The Adolescents and Strung Out last fall. They put on a good show and was nice to see a local Salt Lake band put out some good music again.
if you guys haven’t already, you should definitely check out Still Nervous by Bad Nerves. Easily in my top 5 favorite records of 2024. Their self titled album is just as good, if not better, so check that one out too if you haven’t.
I did like 'Heaven' more than 'Hell' ;) I was expecting more from 'Hell'. But like you guys, my overall impression of the whole album improved with listens.
I have not put mine together yet, but these are likely to feature: The Odorants, The Chisel, Green Day, Alkaline Trio, Bad Nerves, FIDLAR, Reconciler, etc. And best EP: Secret World - Guilt is Good.
One Step Closer, The Implants, No Guidance, Strung Out, and Stand Still were my top 5 punk albums this year
Haven’t heard one step closer but your other picks are awesome. That stand still album is very good.
One Step Closer was a great record, in my favorite pop punk records of the year. - elliot
Couldn't get into the Implants record my first couple listens so I gave up, should I give it another try?

Sounds like a killer show! - elliot
@@PunkRockRadar Shit, I forgot A Wilhelm Scream was there as well and they put on probably best part of the show. It was a killer show!

They had a couple of banners that I loved but album as a whole dissapointed me.
Love cowabunga

'Menticide' off 'Listens to Krang Once' is my favourite song from the album. And yes, cool album.

John, always with the sweets!
Agree with less than Jake , uncharted is great
Yea FOD had the best record this year, along with Heartwells 47:29
Don’t know why I didn’t do a 5,6,7 either 😂🤦🏻♂️
They weren't worthy of that exclusive Top 4
I really like Amyl and the Sniffers, but could not get into the new album. I thumbed one song.
I was actually a bit disappointed in that F.O.D. album.
Yeah, John definitely won't like Drunk Mums.
I can't imagine that world 😂 - elliot
Punk died 8 years ago RIP
It had a good run, I guess 😅
What was 8 yrs ago?
So...
Sadly we need more bricks is the worst song on the album
I would say it's the best song, and I would be right
