Anthony Castillo that’s Queen 👑 to you
@@Fixingthingz4u queen of the potatos!
all these make me so happy :D
Lets hope 2021 brings many hours of flight and flight vids! Looking forward to them.
I think “Poutine” would be most appropriate ☺️
You're a great role model for young ladies out there who want a fun career! Take care & be safe.
Thanks John! That's what I'm hoping to do :)
I could watch you day and night piloting a plane, so enjoyable. Stay safe Emilie
So nice following you on RUclips and to watch your videos. Love the real flights as well as the FSims. You're a great role model. Hope the work returns to normal soon. You deserve it!
Its like sitting on a jumpseat looking over the pilots shoulders. Love it!🥔🥔
So miss my jumpseat days and the view from that office.... Especially enjoyed flying with commuter crews to the smaller airports and enjoying a nice lunch with them before heading back from where we came.
Amazing how pilots always get all the information by those radio transmissions, because there are so many numbers they have to remember.
@Javier Solis They already know mostly what to expect and in what order to expect it. An acronym is CRAFT: Cleared to ___; Route ___; Altitude ___; Frequency ___; Transponder code ___. They know where they filed to and the filed route and altitude as well as the likely departure control frequency so it’s verifying that they got what they requested or what changes ATC made, verifying the departure control frequency, and entering the transponder (“squawk”) code. They then read it back to whomever issued the clearance. There are several possibilities for whom that might be: clearance delivery, ground control, flight service; departure control.
It's a structured conversation. We typically already have an idea of what they are going to say back. Note taking is a must for read back clarity and accuracy i think. For me, anyway.
@@simcptmike Most definitely, note taking is a must for me, even if it’s just “cleared as filed.”
Nothing but respect and kudos to you, Emilie! Thanks for sharing!
We want you to get back to flying again but you have been such a gift for all that you have brought to the Flight Sim Community. Thank you!
That has to be the softest landing I’ve ever saw on a Crash-8! Well done!
May favorite part is watching the extreme intent focus Emilie has throughout the approach to touch-down!!! It had to be devastating hearing your job was being cut! Glad you persevered and finally got back into the pilot's seat!!!
I'm not a pilot but these are amazing to watch. I'm in absolute awe of you guys, thanks for posting and hope your luck changes very soon
I've always wanted to look into getting a pilots license, and watching you land that aircraft is so amazing and inspiring. You make me want to pursue my dream of doing that whenever I see you fly with such skill. Please keep up the vids for us dreamers!
Something about the communication between you and ATC is so therapeutic! Awesome video :)
There is no ATC. She said that.
Wow just found your channel, being a pilot is so cool. Good luck and hope for the best
Congratulations!! In a middle of this hard time you have the great opportunity to work, to be happy and the incredible experience to fly an amazing aircraft. That was a beatiful video I have enjoyed a lot, keep climbing higher Captain and thanks to share this kind of wonderfuls. I hope you still having beatiful flights.
Awesome videos, Love the view, specially around BC
Lets hope things get back to normal soon.
Thank you Emilie! Cheers from YKA
Thank you for sharing this and letting us have a further glance into the world of Potato Qweenlines. In the last weeks since I re-delved into flight simming, I have developed this weird fascination for landing approaches, IFR flights, listening to ATC communication and checklist procedures, looking up approach plates, studying airport diagrams, tuning-in COM and LOC frequencies... I also acquired my first book on aviation (basically a PPL-course for total noobies) and I'm absolutely loving it. So videos like these are more than welcome brain fodder since there's always something new to learn every day.
Thanks Sascha!
I am grateful my daughter has such awesomeness she can see and aspire to! Please keep it up- you are inspiring many people ! Thank you!
😊
it is very nice to see a young lady doing such a fantastic job just as good if not better than any man you deserve your weight in gold such professionalism
There is something magical about seeing that runway pop out in front of you after flying in the "soup" probably gives you a feeling of satisfaction!!! Great Video!!!!! Thank you!!!!!
Regardless of when it is still great to watch and can still learn from it.
:)
I’ve been looking forward to this video ever since the time of the poll. Great work! Love your videos. Greetings from Norway.
Awesome! Thank you!
@@Pilotemilie Wow! Butter landing!!
It's to bad you are (were) out of work for some time because you seem to be an exceptional pilot . Thanks for sharing your skills and dedication!
That was AWESOME Queen Potato!! 👑 🥔🥔 I really hope that you can get back to work soon!
It's a bit weird and bittersweet watching a video like this, coming from the perspective of someone who worked assembling parts of these cockpits for the last 15 years. Everything has that duality of looking both familiar and strange in the context of an in-service unit. Thanks for the vid.
Found your channel for the Flight Sim tutorials and was pleasantly surprised to see you're a Canadian pilot of a Dash 8. It's exciting to me because I've flown in Dash 8s to Fort St. John many times. If you've ever done the Vancouver John route I might've been been a passenger of yours!
I really miss flying! Those comments from flight deck as one is approaching some hittherto unknown destination, the expectations and sense of adventure... I’ve been so fortunate to be able to travel a lot, but I wouldn’t mind giving it a few more goes! Thanks for flying us around, Emelie! And I really wish you back to work soon!
Thanks for sharing the video, hopefully you’re back to work flying!
Wow, today just came across to your channel per RUclips recommendation , really nice i enjoyed
You're great Emilie. You make flying easy, but I know it's not. It's a great responsibility. Fly Emilie Fly ! Regards from New Jersey !
I second that from the UK
Beautiful landing, great job! Love your work :)
Super Vidéo Emilie! Thank you for sharing! Hopefully you get to fly very soon!
From the thumbnail I was hoping you were back to work, then saw this was older footage. Good luck getting back to the cockpit soon!
Thank you!
Sheeeeee's back. Put on your helmets and watch the skies! :-)
Absolutely love your vids Emilie. I am passionate about flying although I haven't had the chance to get a pilot license, yet at least. If I'm ever in Canada I'd love to fly with you. :) Greetings from Romania, Europe. Clear skies and fair winds, always!
This is so awesome! You are terrific! Be proud as you are so great!
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it and I hope you get back to work soon.
Great flight, nice job with the crosswind landing! I love the Dash 8, must be a great plane to fly! I can sympathise with you losing your job, I lost mine recently after over 31 years! I wish you good luck getting another job, you just got another new subscriber!
I totally enjoyed the video; I love the 'no music + voice' format. I too hope the industry (and world) recovers in 2021. Warm regards from India!
Thanks Vignesh!! Appreciate that!
I totally agree. So easy on the mind just to hear it "clean".
Greetings Emilie from the Oakland Air Route Traffic Control Center in California where I’ve been a controller 17 years now. Love your videos and getting out of the RADAR room and into the cockpit. Seeing what you do really enhances and improves what I do and how we both interact. We are all currently working 5 days on and 5 off here with most sectors combined due to the hit the aviation community has suffered as a whole since March. I really hope you can get back out there soon and things rebound for us all! Today was a very busy day for us, which is always encouraging. Be well, stay safe, keep posting! You are awesome!!
I totally enjoyed this video. Love how you are so cool and calm on the radio. Warmest regards from Trinidad. Hope you get back in the cockpit soon Keep the faith.
You made the crosswind landing looked a piece of cake, Captain!
Thanks TC!!! it's uhhh the camera angle!! XD
@@Pilotemilie gotta love them soft runways
@@MrRedwingsfan16 🤓
=-) thanks co captain......
This puts such a big smile on my face 😃, I imagine it does for you too! Thanks for (re)posting and for the narration...well done Capt. Emilie!
My pleasure! It's a new flight (I haven't posted before), but old footage! Thanks Peter :)
@@Pilotemilie ...oh, I’m probably thinking of one of your other flights.
love your videos...keep up the passion for aviation...good days are coming up ahead . . . all the best!
Amazing video! You are awesome get back to work soon hopefully!
This was seriously cool to watch 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thank you Emilie for showing us how smooth the Dash 8 flys and handles. The only time I’ve ever flown in a Turbo Prop was with Alaska Air. Indirect flight from Seattle to Portland then to Oakland. A different perspective of flying at 25 thousand as opposed to 33. 🛫🛬
Totally! :)
Great takeoff and landing. A nice look at what you guys do..😊
I love the professionalism! Great video
I’ve wanted to see this for so long ☺️ hope your doing well, Emilie! 🇨🇦🙌
Thanks Harry! I appreciate that!
Я вам аплодирую 👏 стоя вы молодцы восхищён приятно смотреть на все в месте техника класс пилоты класс Good Luck!!! ♥ ♥ ♥
Fantastic video, so well done and explained. You are doing a lovely job. My dream job actually!
What an awesome and insightful video. Thanks for putting this out. Passed the IATRA last December and applied to Encore (long shot but would be a dream). The Q400 looks like a ton of fun to fly!
Holy cow, you're almost at 100K subs already. Congrats.
HOLY COW!!!! lol Thank you!!
Very Nice landing Emily 👌 God bless you 🙏 ❤🇺🇲🇺🇲
Great flying pilot Emily.Keep up the good work and give us more of these videos.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow! what a great video! Thank you so much for sharing. I hope you get to fly again soon! We love your videos! Stay safe please!
That is so cool! Bises de France Emilie
Very enjoyable video and such a smooth ride! Well done, Emilie. How does Dash 8 Q400 handles turbulence? Have you ever operated Boeing 737?
Hope your back and flying soon, thanks for the video.
Thank you Much Appreciate your Time and Postings..🙏
When it really mattered Emilie definitely nailed THAT landing! A marked contrast between the Professional Emilie and our flight sim buddy. Makes her contribution to the world of simming very much valued.
Thanks Bill!
Great video... looks like fun .... I hope at this time you are back to work. ...Love your videos...
What a great job ,love how you and the captain share the workload love your Vids , Hope your Flying again!
I hope you can get back to work soon. :( Breaks my heart to see people that love to fly grounded for so long because of situations outside of their control.
Yea.... it's tough, not gonna lie. Taking it one day at a time. Thanks Alex!
Hopefully medical science will get on top of Covid-19 and life will get back to normal soon. All the best for your flying career.
Thanks Malcolm!!
Smooth as butter landing Emilie. Hope you’re back in the skies soon. Always enjoy your videos.
Thanks Donny!!
Would love to see more of your vids like this. Great video Emilie. 🛫🛩🛬
I'm glad to see more women in the aviation industry.
I really feel for the airline industry and all the pilots who have been adversely affected by the events of the last year.
What a great video! Thank you for sharing this! I hope you are back in the air very soon.
Thanks Patrick!!
Enjoyed this video. Hope you are able to go back to your flying job very soon!
I would buy a plane ticket to no where just to have Emilie as my pilot
Emilie maybe the airforce needs pilots? I can see you as a blue angel ... my bad you already are 😘😂
Blue angels are the navy bub. She could go for the Thunderbirds in the Air Force. Or literally any airframe she wanted to as long as the airforce, or navy, allowed it.
Greg5698 yeah that’s the one 🤓😛🥳
I did know that but i quess i put the two together which gave the wrong impression thanks for clarifying thou
Cringe
Well, well Emilie, thanks a lot for sharing an excellent video. Do not know if you listened to me or not, but videos like this with natural sound instead of background music is like heaven and hell.
This is heaven, thanks a lot for sharing and keep up the good work!
Greaser! Very Nice. Cheers & hope you're back flyin' again.
Love the video Emilie! and hope you can get back to work sometime soon!! and hope to see more of your Msfs 2020 videos!
Thanks for saving us the window seat!! Kinda funny watching you wave to other planes while taxiing as though you spotted a friend on the street.
You are a talented young captain.Keep up the good job.
Amazing! This knocks the crap out of the sim! Thanks for this.
Nice video. Good work. It was very interesting. Thank you
Thank you for all your teaching, it's my first time, and it's wonderful to learn by you
Great flying you guys did. I had some fun comparing what it feels like for the first time versus doing this as for 100th time... workflow. Really hope you get back to what you love doing. Happy week!
Thank you Ronny!
Wow...been flying msfs since 98 just dreaming of what you are doing. Absolute Awesome video. Showed so much of the things I often wondered about. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you!
Cool video Emilie. Hope you get back to work soon.
Looks like this was a beautiful, very uneventful flight, very nice work
Really enjoyed the video, great landing Emilie! All the best from Scotland. 🏴
Excellent job, this is a very pleasant video to watch. A genuine perspective of the real experience.

Thank you very much!
Hello Emilie , it is always a pleasure see the clouds and the sky from your office...I am pretty sure is just a long hiatus, thanks for sharing this with us and continue with the excellent work here...as usual!!!
I hope so too!

Hope and pray your back to work, love your video’s
In 1997 my family traveld by car from Vancouver to Calgary, so beautiful in Canada.
I love your videos.
Big hello from 🇸🇪
Stay safe.
Waiting Very Eagerly to see you back in cockpit hopefully. 👍
An awesome video. Very valuable and helpful Thank you for sharing.
Looked like a smooth landing!! Love those.
Love the videos. Thank you. Quick story: Captain Emilie made an announcement to the cabin. "This is captain Emilie. My copilot is co-captain Susan. As a matter of fact, the entire flight crew are female." With that the cabin provided a round of applause. One of the passengers said to the flight attendant "Can I go up to the cockpit and congratulate the captain?" The flight attendant said "I'm sorry sir, we don't call it that anymore..."
I always enjoy watching the planes on final for 35L when I'm driving down the Deerfoot, cool to see it from this angle!
Well done emilie... confident landing !!
I know nothing about flying, but I've been refulling aircrafts for 12 yrs. Cool to see what's happening inside during a flight. Hope you get your job back, or a job back soon. Best of luck, tnx for the upload.
Great video Emilei! I miss my days on the Q400! Great plane, a blast to fly, and the longest checklists in the industry, lol. Enjoyed my time on it, but I love the lazy life on the 767 these days so much more
