I’m getting sick of it. We should let them take over the kitchen and washroom again. Things went well back then. Honestly, I’d be fully for laws that say women cannot have washing machines, nor dishwashers and have to do those activities by hand. Only single men are allowed washing machines, as they have to keep up the economy and have little to know time to do it by hand. Most women I know, work 6-8 hours and then are “tired”. Let’s put these practices back in place and have better lives.

I'm not opposed to having some women in positions of power, HOWEVER, there needs to be some protocol to see how effectively they can emotionally handle conflict. A woman in power needs to be capable of being stoic and collected in the face of a heated debate. You need to learn more about US history. I posted a link to the brutal caning of Sen Charles Sumner by a fellow congressman in 1856. I remember this from US History, some of the dialogue leading up to the caning was classic. Again, these were 2 men.

It's not up to a man to determine what the most rewarding position a woman can have. I do believe if a woman and a couple decides to have a family, that the woman has to be willing and dedicated to raising the family & it has to be a priority in their lives. However, in today's world most families need both people to work outside of their home, so the rearing of children needs the support of both parents.
Many young people are deciding not to have children, its so much work to stay afloat in the economy as things are, let alone bring others into this world.

Feminism has indeed lied to us women. I was happiest as a mom and wife yet I felt that I had to go back and finish school, go to work. Then I took care of other people’s children. I should have stayed home. Heck I should have had a couple more kids but being a homemaker had no value, we don’t get paid.
It’s also lied to men, telling them housework has no value and that they can’t make it if their wife doesn’t go to work to.
My paycheck went to taxes, I worked hard to pay taxes. I left my kids to pay taxes.
We don't need mansions and new cars every year. We do need to be there for our children.
Unfortunately, people won't realize this truth until it's too late and the damage is done. There are no do-overs in childhood.

The purpose of giving the vote was that Congress realized that as more women worked, they wanted to tax them. One can't tax someone if they are denied the right to vote. While personal income tax didn't become effective until 1930, they were working on it for years before.

Women are pragmatic & choose careers that pay better and have longer longevity. If you're an engineer in Silicon Valley, don't get laid off at the age of 48, it will be tough to get hired again, ageism is alive and well. If you are a doctor or even a nurse, you can work and be hired well into your late 60's and beyond,.
One of my client is a physician (female) married to an engineer (male). She earns just under $400k/year and he earns just under $200k/year. They have 4 children together.

Matt, the fundamental issue is that the average IQ in our nation has gone down (as you mentioned). When our education system allows people to graduate high school who have 3rd grade or lower literacy skills, how can we expect these future voters to vote for intelligent people?
Then, there's the higher education fiasco. Nowadays, universities do not grade people on individual work. They have been advocating "collaborative learning" approaches, for decades. This means that a handful of college students actually produce something meaningful and the rest get credit for it under the guise of "group work" and "group grading" schemes!!!

I teared up listening to him talk about his wife. My beautiful daughter and her husband are expecting their 5th child. I am so happy for them. Before they even started their family they both agreed she would stay home with the children. They live 2,000 miles away because of his job but I visit 2 or 3 times a year so I see them quite a lot. I observe my daughter working harder than I ever did working full time as a nurse practitioner. We were fortunate to have a very nice woman care for our two children in her home. It would have been difficult for my to interrupt my employment as I just happened to have the greater income. I would not have been able to maintain my license. My son-in-law is a wonderful husband and father in addition to being the wage earner. He and my daughter complement one another the way it should be.

To be fair, Matt, the average American finds people who are smart or intellectually sharp as either threatening or over educated and elitist, which is why every politician every election season appeals to the most common man, even if they never drink a beer they must drink a beer if they never eat ice cream they have to go eat ice cream, etc. nauseaso unfortunately, if you don’t try to be the most common person, you’re not getting elected. Women were robbed with the feminist movement. I wanted to stay home with my baby and felt rushed back to work. My husband got to be the mom while I "worked on my career". He actually thought that's what I wanted. I didn't feel like there was a choice.

I feel it is a problem if the husband is ever even okay with going along with that. I could not do it. I felt like a dirt bag after I had a work injury when I cut my thumb with a circular saw doing a bathroom remodel. I had emergency surgery to reattach it. I was forced to take 3 month off. We got through it because some work my wife had done and some passive income through my business...but I constantly felt like I wasn't doing enough. I wasn't providing as I should. I ended up falling into a pretty bad depression and had to go back to work early doing construction with one hand for the most part. My relationship became strained because she had to work and we had kids. I did what I could while I was there but it didn't work well that way. I can't even imagine a decent man voluntarily staying home unless it's in the most dier of situations.
If she wants to demoralized you and make you stay home good. When the kids old enough move along. Don't get mad be a mad get even.
