Well, unfortunately, it's not the first time our country has done this. This was actually a common practice during the Jim Crow era and was used against black defendants. You didn't have to have a unanimous jury verdict to throw someone in prison. That's actually the reason we had to make the unanimity rule to begin with. Well, unfortunately, it's not the first time our country has done this. This was actually a common practice during the Jim Crow era and was used against black defendants. You didn't have to have a unanimous jury verdict to throw someone in prison. That's actually the reason we had to make the unanimity rule to begin with. But now we are watching Democrats gleefully run right back to that terrible era of our history as though it represents their kind of utopia. It ought to make people consider just what kind of character a liberal actually has when they take glee in this sort of thing.
