I got sick in 2020, presumably Covid, which reactivated some old infections (EBV, etc.). I now have depleted Pituitary hormones and a myriad of symptoms effecting my nervous system and many of the things you’ve discussed (I now have Chronic Fatigue, Dysautonomia, GI dysmotility, and more).
Could you possibly make some content addressing Covid effecting the HPA Axis and stress response?

I have EBV too and HPA axis disregulation that makes coping with life difficult. I listen to alot of her videos on this topic and she said 5HTP and CBD can help regulate the HPA axis.
I am using both now with some relief.
Its a journey to heal for sure.
      Good Luck to you

Very very well explained, i've been trying to grasp the intricacies of my sleep, and it seems like i have an overactive HPA-axis by inadequate sleep, i release a lot of cortisol at night, making my sleep schedule even worse, causing hypertension throughout the whole next day, thank you, i would have never identified my problem if it were not for this video.

I believe my HPA axis became out of balance when I had babies
I would literally jump out of bed when I heard a cry or even a peep out of them
That was 20 years ago and I still cant sleep
    😮‍💨😔😌

Would these symptoms be indicative of HPA axis dysfunction? Ive tried everything and im absolutely MISERABLE. Im working on lowering inflammation with glutathione, high dose DHA, Turmero Curcumin and Resveratrol all prescribed by my functional medicine doctor. Ive dealt with tons of stress over the year and i had experienced INTENSE anxiety months ago with hot flashes l, panic attacks etc and now the symptoms below im STILL dealing with. IDK what else to do but this has made me unable to work
    -light sensitivity
    -tension headaches
    -low motivation
    -fatigue
    -frequent crying
    -insomnia
    -heart palpitations
    -nervousness
    -anhedonia
    -muscle twitches
My symptoms are my only stressor. This is my problem. Im stuck in this endless loop

I’m really sorry to hear you’re going through this-it sounds incredibly tough. The symptoms you’re describing could indeed be related to HPA axis dysfunction, especially given your history of intense stress and anxiety. The HPA axis, which governs our stress response, can become dysregulated when exposed to prolonged stress, leading to a range of symptoms like the ones you’re experiencing.
It’s good that you’re working with a functional medicine doctor to address inflammation, as this can be a key factor in HPA axis dysfunction. However, when symptoms become this overwhelming, it’s important to take a holistic approach that includes not just physical interventions, but also strategies to manage stress and support your mental and emotional well-being.
You might want to consider techniques like mindfulness, gentle movement (like yoga or tai chi), and perhaps talking to a therapist who specializes in stress-related conditions. These can sometimes help break the cycle of stress and symptoms. It’s also important to ensure that your treatment plan is regularly reviewed and adjusted as needed.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to your healthcare provider to discuss these ongoing symptoms and explore any additional treatments or approaches that might help. You don’t have to navigate this alone, and there may be other options to support your recovery.
Also, I’d love to hear your thoughts on what you found most useful in the video, if feel comfortable sharing. Additionally, if you’re interested in more content on trauma or exploring my other videos, feel free to check out my AI: allceus.com/AskDocSnipes.
