Looks like the keihin fuel pump on my Rmx450. My pump has a low fuel sensor attached to the plastic exterior brace. The notches on the side is where the low fuel thermistor could be placed with a clip if you wanted a low fuel warning light. I can see the same mounting notches on your fuel pump.
Dude! What a coincidence! I was just scrolling through my subs and noticed you uploaded for the first time in forever. Not sure if you remember me but we rode together like 12 years ago. Are you riding dirt now?!
So correct me if I’m mistaken so you can replace the filter on an oem pump but you just need to buy the whole filter with the plastic thingie that ataches to the pump?
Hey I bought the same fuel pump an wen I poured the gas back in ,fuel was coming out the black nob that the fuel hose Connect too an I thought it was the oring until I put the oem pump back on an fuel didn’t come out . I did this like 3 times to make sure I wasn’t tripping or doing something wrong with oring an I came to the conclusion that the aftermarket pumps don’t hold the fuel pressure like it suppose to , I also ran the aftermarket fuel pump an it seemed to work better starting but cuts off more then the oem one , did you check to see if yours does this ?? bcuz I didn’t kno until my 2nd time checking an only found out by luck of putting gas in first before I connected to fuel hose
I am not 100% sure but you might be able to go to Rockymountainatv and look at the oem parts finder. If it has a number on the picture you can order one.
I put all new seals in with fuel pump used the old one and the new one and gas still comes out the spout will work like that even if the gas comes out freely?
I was riding and ran out of gas and then my friend brought me more gas my bike fired up ran for a little bit and then died and was hard to start after and when it did start it would die fast. Do you think this is my fuel pump?
It would fire up and run for just a few seconds then die. I checked a bunch of things it could be before taking the fuel pump off to test it and that’s when I found the filter completely stopped up.
That is actually part of your fuel pump assembly and I’m pretty sure if it’s broke you can’t buy just that piece. Join a forum and same some cash by buying a used one
I get excited too when wrenching and often do things twice lol … nice job OG…
Thanks my dude!

Dude I just broke that little black piece that connects the fuel line to the fuel pump. Am I able to fix that without needing a whole new fuel pump?

which wire goes where

That’s exactly what mine started to do. The pump was getting hot when low on fuel and would shut itself off
Did it come with the rubber seal that gose I'm the hole on the top to stop the gas from leaking out freely at the spout
It did not
So what symptoms was the bike having that you knew it was the fuel filter
It would fire up and run for just a few seconds then die. I checked a bunch of things it could be before taking the fuel pump off to test it and that’s when I found the filter completely stopped up.
Do you know if u can put a in tank fuel pump in that same bike?
No idea man.
