    History is repeating itself, Mark Cuban is failing to build around Luka Doncic. He let Jalen Brunson walk in free agency to the New York Knicks who are once again reaping the benefits of Cubans mistakes. Meanwhile Cubans eyes are dead set on top market names like Kyrie Irving instead of getting the most value for his money and for his team.

    • @adama2292
      @adama2292 Год назад +8

      Getting Kyrie now could be the only way for Dallas to get a star player next to Luka tbf. They don't have that many picks and they're not super interesting for teams and they clearly won't be able to land anybody in FA. • @NRTHKR

    Crazy how cuban can waste two generational European player's prime years. First Dirk and now Luka. Cuban has been consistently good, but not great. That's why he only got one ring with Dirk's greatness. Didn't resign Steve Nash, just let Jaylen Brunson walk, traded for Kayne irving(who is on a expiring contract and can walk) by giving up Dinwiddie, the best defender on the team in Dorian Finney Smith as well as future picks. You can't build a culture if you let your homegrown talents walk, Brunson developed from a 2nd round pick, and D.F.S. developed from being undrafted. For a state that has no income tax, cuban still struggles getting top FA's. Now Luka's love for the game is disappearing and luka recently said he isnt having fun anymore. Kanye Irving is going to get most of the blame when the mavs flame out early in the playoffs, but it's cuban who's been f*cking up, and waste prime years of generational stars.

    The 2010-11 Mavericks were a full and complete team. Plenty of veteran players and depth on the bench, with an entire team of guys who knew that it takes every player to make a difference and win. You just don't see that type of mindset these days, and Cuban getting rid of Chandler just for the hope of Dwight Howard was the immediate drop off. You spend an entire season fighting against the super team mentality and win a championship, just to fall victim to it and watch the franchise crumble. A horrid decision by Cuban, but it makes me even happier that Dirk and the players around him seized their chance when they had it in front of them.

    He's always expected free agents to bail him out and he creates cap space for players who never wanna go to Dallas. Dwight Howard made a good decision going to the Rockets, it's not his fault that Mark Cuban created a plan that involves him going to Dallas. He did the exact same thing with Jalen Brunson, Cuban was so confident that Brunson would resign, so he chose not to extend him early on. Obviously Brunson is gonna choose New York over Dallas, especially when they offered more money.
