7 year old answer: No. The hammer would reset to the same position every time, so long as the groove in the hammer itself is forward enough (as in the video). If you have the stock groove, then then hammer would never reset fully and would follow the bolt forward, firing only one round (due to the trigger moving farther backward and releasing without the auto sear being tripped by the bolt)
Interesting. If I'm understanding this correctly, no changes need to be made to the receiver. If an 02 SOT goes out of business and decides to destroy this machine gun, can the trigger pack just be removed or would the entire gun, receiver and all, be subject to destruction?
2 year old answer: According to ATF definitions, only the offending modified parts would need to be destroyed; in this case, the modified sear (added material). Everything else is not a "machine gun" by definition, only the part that enables full auto fire. Even a modified safety selector (allowing you to pull the trigger farther back by switching to the third (full auto) position) and modified hammer wouldn't qualify because they are not what makes it full auto.
Mostly. You'd have to also either replace or modify the factory safety selector to allow the trigger to move the sear all the way back into the 'full auto' position, but it's effectively a 'drop in' conversion beyond that.
Thank but I actually found an easier way to do the conversion with the use of a screw. I also found a few other ways to make it happen! But I will contact you for other conversions. I've done a bunch already so if you ever need help let me know too! Thanks again for getting back!
I know this video is old, but if I can find someone who has the licenses you have,, and does this modification to a PS90, what licenses do * I * need to buy it from him?
You can never buy one as an individual. If you had a standard 01 (dealer) FFL, and an SOT, you could buy one as a "dealer sample", provided you could find a police department willing to request a demonstration of that specific rifle, on official department letterhead, or without a letter of you were fortunate enough to find an FFL with one in their inventory, who was going out of business and surrendering their own FFL and SOT. Short answer, go to a range with NFA rentals and rent one. You can still waste a whole of ammo, with FAR less paperwork and Uncle Sam's fingers up your ass...
No. The sear still works. Only when the trigger is pulled back all the way does the sear rotate out of the way. When it's released, it moves back. This is the way the OEM P90 trigger pack functions. This works exactly like it would if it was a factory-built P90.

Very cool ty for being open, 99.9 % of the gun community are law abiding citizens and good people..... theres no reason not to be able to hv vids like this!!
wait, i thought it was simple relocation of the spring on the front sear...i didnt know you needed to acually add material to it for it to go FA. do both need to be done or is it either or?
P.C. FIVEZ This is the way that retains the full original function of the trigger pack which allows semi and full auto functionality. It can also be done by adding a small disk to the sear pin, which is how I would do it now that I have a CNC mill to be able to do that.
small disk to the sear pin? i never heard of that hack before. instead of using a CNC why dont you just find a small washer of some sort and place that on the sear pin?
I just can't for the life of me understand why is FNH making these crucial parts out of plastic, I've broken three fire control groups on my FNP45's just dri-practicing. Perhaps I can find someone like minded that's willing to design an aluminum one to sell.
I CNC'd a 6061 aluminum fire control unit for my FNP45 the difference in weight is about .95 grams and I've yet to break it or stress any of the pin holes that I thought I would need to make out of S.S. it wouldn't cost much to manufacture however it's more profitable to have them break and sell replacement units, that said; I wouldn't want anyone protecting me much less the nation carrying a tool that will break on them when they need it to save someone's life including my own.
That's strange. I've had no problems with the trigger group in this weapon, even after the mods. I think the reason for using polymer is for both weight and cost savings. Although, cost savings certainly isn't being reflected in how much they're charging for the end product. They're maximizing their profits, that's for sure. They sell 'em to government organizations and law enforcement types for about half what they sell them to 'peasants' for. They're like H&K. They HATE the civilian market.
Where select fire assault type rifles often are hard to control on full auto, even 5.56 NATO rifles, the P90 is easy to control on full auto. Sadly one must have a Class III dealer's license to own one AND then you have to re-up that P90 full auto ownership permit every year. Not fun or cheap. i even debate whether it is worth going to an SBR mode on my PS90 and lose the velocity I have with the longer barrel. So instead of that I'm getting a RUGER 57 pistol as a "companion" to my PS90. Imagine being a armored truck guard with both a PS90 and RUGER 57. That is a lot of firepower.
Ally, Promoted Pawn sells trigger upgrades. I have "Stage One" in a little block I've inserted that does improve the pull crispness and let-off. Next Ill get the DELTA upgrade. With this I will be able t increase my semi-auto rate of fire a bit, enough to make it very lethal in a "spray-and-pray" situation. Plus, I'm keeping my BATFE long barrel for the better velocity which equals better penetration with the higher ft. lbs. of energy.
You absolutely may NOT. Not if you're in the U.S. The only way you can legally build a full auto in the U.S. is if you are an SOT-paying FFL Manufacturer of firearms.
how much different is the conversion on a gen 1 or 2? can you essentially drop in a gen 1 or 2 hammer pack into a true P90 body (with S/1/A fire selector) and have it work or is your modification necessary? hard to get info, but on the net i am seeing that there is a 5 second spring mod for full auto, but you wont get the semi auto function, just safe and full auto fire, but thats on a reg PS90 body....will the P90 body make it work correctly?
may i ask 2 things? ive noticed where a full auto p90 when the selctor switch is selected to full auto instead of single shot it allows the trigger to be pushed bacl further than in single shot mode. what stops that from being pushed back further in single shot mode oppesed to full auto. and more thing to my knowledge is the differences between a full auto p90 and as gen 1,2 ps90 one single spring and the bottom sear teeth dont got foward enough thats it becuase of that spring? just wondering.
Yes, was a conversion of a PS90 trigger pack that was converted to a P90 trigger pack. I no longer have it, because I let my FFL lapse. Fortunately, I had registered the trigger pack instead of registering the rifle itself, so I only had to get rid of the pack.
2A should be all you need, but the US Constitution is no longer respected by the feds or cops. No more rights, only privileges you can purchase back from The Crown through licenses and permits. ;) The trigger group is very similar between the AUG and P(S)90. I believe some parts are even interchangeable. But I don't have an AUG, so I can't speak directly to that.
I want a legal full auto P90 because I work in a job that gets me in a situation that requies me to use a gun average of 2 times a year.It is a blatant infringement of my 2a rights not to have the best weapon possible to nutalize the threat as efficiently as possible.BATF must be disbanded so citizens are sufficiently armed as the 2a intended.
Yikes. I'm not sure what type of job that would be, but if it doesn't pay well enough to be able to get your own F/A, I'd probably start looking for another line of work! Stay safe!

This is funny You do not know what your doing If you where truely qualified and licensed you would know you dont need to modify the sear/disconnector to get it to work.
Yes there are other ways that you can make it work, but you don't get true functionality of the trigger pack. A properly functioning P90 trigger pack doesn't just go full-auto on you every time you pull the trigger. It works in both semi, AND full auto. Yes, you can make it straight full auto, but I wanted it to function the way it's supposed to, and it does. Some people might think that means I don't know what I'm doing. I think the vast majority of qualified people would agree with me, however, that restoring it to the factory functionality is the correct way to do it, vs just removing parts and making it go full auto. But everybody is entitled to their opinions, including yourself. Feel free to share what it is about you that makes you feel that you're more qualified to do this mod than myself. Feel free to share your own video of how YOU, as a qualified individual, did this mod. Thanks for watching and commenting!
uraijit You did not mention the one other part needing modification/replacing to make it fully select fire. Even with that trigger pack installed, it still won't make a *stock* PS90 fire in full auto. I'm not saying you don't know what you are doing, just that you left that important bit out. ;-)
Element of Kindness The purpose of this video is not to teach people how to make their PS90 full-auto, it's to show how the trigger group works, and how *I* modified mine to restore proper function for my registered post-ban dealer sample. There is one small modification needed to the safety selector, to get the rifle to fire full auto, but that has nothing to do with how the P90 trigger group functions. If I were to do a tutorial intended to show others who to modify their own rifles, it would go into much more depth on how to do the mods, and the safety selector mods would be included. But I don't see it as a prudent thing to do to teach people explicitly how to do it, since most people don't have the proper licensing to do so legally. The people who do have the licensing can (and regularly do) contact me directly for help. Thanks for watching, and commenting.

Would I need 3 way selector, the extended travel 3 way trigger, and then just modify or replace the sear/disconnect with an auto one? And does anyone print these in aluminum anymore? I can give letter head or credentials if needed . I wanted to replace the internals with aluminum ones if anyone can print them in the auto config but Id take a printed plastic one if you have a link.
Oh.
I'm sorry, I can't in good conscience aid and abet costumed thugs who terrorize their communities and kill people without consequence.
Good luck finding an honorable career instead.
@@Wrenchmonkey1 Id say a Special Response Team geared at training and responding to School Shooter/ Active Killers IS a pretty honorable career choice. It’s too bad youve had less than positive experiences in the past, but Id still really appreciate the help. Best regards🤝
Don't take it personally.
I'm sure that aside from your chosen career as a boot on the neck of your fellow man, and the extortion and terrorism you willingly and gleefully engage in for a paycheck, you're otherwise a fairly decent guy. Maybe you're among the slightly-over-half who don't even beat the shit out of your own wives. A Scooby snack for you, if you are!
And I'm sure that some of the things you do in costume are not inherently evil; good, even. Hell, even y'all's patron saint made the trains run on time.
Nevertheless the evil still outweighs the good. Until the alleged 'good apples' do something about the ones they claim are 'only a few bad apples', none can ever be trusted. Haven't seen any of those 'good apples' step up yet, and I'm not gonna hold my breath.
I'm not going to assist costumed thugs in gearing up for war against the rest of us.
You guys chose to view and treat us as 'the enemy'. So be it. I will not empower those who see me and my fellow peasantry as your 'enemy' and believe yourselves to be 'at war' with everyone besides your own gang.
This is the reality you guys demanded and created. The rest of us are just livin' in it.
But, hey, if I ever need somebody to shoot my pets; or throw a grenade in my sleeping infant's crib and laugh about burning his face off; or cower in the parking lot; or shoot me in the back 17 times and then 'lose' the bodycam footage, investigate yourselves, and miraculously find not an ounce of 'wrongdoing' on your part, I'll be sure to give you and your boys a ring. 👍
It actually releases about 1 degree farther back than semi auto, but both release from what would be considered "all the way back."
any possibility of a light strike because the hammer isn't fully back to the rear in full auto?
7 year old answer: No. The hammer would reset to the same position every time, so long as the groove in the hammer itself is forward enough (as in the video). If you have the stock groove, then then hammer would never reset fully and would follow the bolt forward, firing only one round (due to the trigger moving farther backward and releasing without the auto sear being tripped by the bolt)
What are the main differences between the p90 and ps90? That make the p90 full auto?
The trigger group and the fire selector (safety) switch are the only differences in that regard.
The other difference is the barrel.
Just curious, but if you somehow found a P90 FA trigger pack, could you just drop it in and have full auto?
Thanks again for getting back!
rio nt I am interested, I have a gen 3
How so?
You should do a video how to take apart the whole trigger group
I’ve seen a gen one pack when all you had to do is move a spring over couldnt the same be done on the gen 2 and 3 packs
@@RodneyStansbury-i2p
Nope. That does not give you selective fire.
@@Wrenchmonkey1 thanks for the info
how can you tell whay gen of ps90 do you have? thanl you
So if it's not catching on the stock ser does it fire till empty when you charge it
No. The sear still works. Only when the trigger is pulled back all the way does the sear rotate out of the way. When it's released, it moves back. This is the way the OEM P90 trigger pack functions.
This works exactly like it would if it was a factory-built P90.
If I had a full auto trigger pack and put it in a ps90 would it fire full auto ?
Yes. With one modification. The safety selector would have to be changed or modified as well.

That's up to each person to decide for themselves, if you want to put in the effort to make a side business of it. Since having kids, I can't really say it's been worth the time or effort for me to keep doing it, but in for a penny, in for a pound.
If you've got lots of spare time, and it's where your passion lies, you'll probably get some enjoyment out of it. But at the same time, things you enjoy doing stop being as much fun when it becomes a job.
For $500/year can buy you a decent amount of trigger time at a rental range, so that might be a better route to take. Especially since you can get some variety in what you shoot that way as well.

So if I get a 07/ then sot 02 , I can convert my semi ps90 to a FA without paying a ITAR fee ?
Same goes for a AK or AR or other hands if I add a piece to make it FA will it fall under the 02 & not the itar?
I ask because itar fee is expensive for me

I'm not a lawyer. You would want to consult an attorney for legal advice, but my understanding is that ITAR is NOT required for manufacturers who do not export.

If your trigger group has all of the parts mentioned, it will work. Don't do it if you don't have the proper licensing, unless you want to spent 10 years in Federal prison.
How do you remove the blind pin?
What paperwork do you need ?
An 07 FFL and an 03 SOT.

Could you please email me I have few questions about the P90
wait, i thought it was simple relocation of the spring on the front sear...i didnt know you needed to acually add material to it for it to go FA.
do both need to be done or is it either or?
P.C. FIVEZ
This is the way that retains the full original function of the trigger pack which allows semi and full auto functionality.
It can also be done by adding a small disk to the sear pin, which is how I would do it now that I have a CNC mill to be able to do that.
small disk to the sear pin? i never heard of that hack before. instead of using a CNC why dont you just find a small washer of some sort and place that on the sear pin?
thx men!
The real criminal is the NFA and atf
Absolutely.
Cops are not the good guys!
sorry, never mind i just realized the hammer doesn't strike from the fully rear position during semi auto fire
I just can't for the life of me understand why is FNH making these crucial parts out of plastic, I've broken three fire control groups on my FNP45's just dri-practicing. Perhaps I can find someone like minded that's willing to design an aluminum one to sell.
It's designed for nato with weight and cost in mind. There you go.
Why do they hate the civilian market? Because we actually care about quality and service?
It is for spies to pass through Xray machines.
Well how much is life insurance that teally works?500 bucks a year for class 3 and it defeats tyrants body armor.
Plus, I'm keeping my BATFE long barrel for the better velocity which equals better penetration with the higher ft. lbs. of energy.
I have a 07/SOT FLL as well, cant find anything on these things. Co you give me your email so I can get a more in depth guide?
nope, it releases from the full back position.
I was told if your P90 has a SBR stamp, you are allowed to do a full auto conversion. I was hoping you could clarify
You absolutely may NOT. Not if you're in the U.S.
The only way you can legally build a full auto in the U.S. is if you are an SOT-paying FFL Manufacturer of firearms.
thx!
If only and only if that was true 😬
how much different is the conversion on a gen 1 or 2? can you essentially drop in a gen 1 or 2 hammer pack into a true P90 body (with S/1/A fire selector) and have it work or is your modification necessary? hard to get info, but on the net i am seeing that there is a 5 second spring mod for full auto, but you wont get the semi auto function, just safe and full auto fire, but thats on a reg PS90 body....will the P90 body make it work correctly?
may i ask 2 things?
ive noticed where a full auto p90 when the selctor switch is selected to full auto instead of single shot it allows the trigger to be pushed bacl further than in single shot mode. what stops that from being pushed back further in single shot mode oppesed to full auto. and more thing to my knowledge is the differences between a full auto p90 and as gen 1,2 ps90 one single spring and the bottom sear teeth dont got foward enough thats it becuase of that spring? just wondering.
The differences between the trigger group for the P90 and the PS90 is hammer and the disconnector, as described in the video.
Will it work on p90
Yes, was a conversion of a PS90 trigger pack that was converted to a P90 trigger pack. I no longer have it, because I let my FFL lapse. Fortunately, I had registered the trigger pack instead of registering the rifle itself, so I only had to get rid of the pack.
licensing? u mean the 2nd amend? lololol, that trigger pack looks kinda like a steyr aug pack
2A should be all you need, but the US Constitution is no longer respected by the feds or cops. No more rights, only privileges you can purchase back from The Crown through licenses and permits. ;)
The trigger group is very similar between the AUG and P(S)90. I believe some parts are even interchangeable. But I don't have an AUG, so I can't speak directly to that.
@Wrenchmonkey if it please the crown, may I purchase some freedom? Haha yea. I have an Aug but not no p90

This is funny
You do not know what your doing
If you where truely qualified and licensed you would know you dont need to modify the sear/disconnector to get it to work.
I'm not saying you don't know what you are doing, just that you left that important bit out. ;-)
Element of Kindness
The purpose of this video is not to teach people how to make their PS90 full-auto, it's to show how the trigger group works, and how *I* modified mine to restore proper function for my registered post-ban dealer sample.
