I was on the Sun Air Dornier 328 that made two go-arounds (13.36 and 15.24) before eventually landing at Luton. Undoubtedly the worst flight I've ever experienced - and I travel for business, so that's somewhere in the region of 800 flights in the last 11 years. The 90 minutes or so of turbulence was unbelievable.
I can quite believe that! Still the crew done very well given the wind gusts, you have a separate video out soon of the D328 so subscribe for that if you like :D
Craig Thomas~ Oh goodness gracious!!! Glad you finally landed safely!!! ONE go round would have had me in sheer terror and hyperventilating ..wanting to just get in the ground and stay out of the treacherous winds throwing the plane all around!!!......but to have to do it AGAIN!!!! AND THEN AGAIN!!!! Too scary for me to even think about!! I can imagine there must have been quite a few passengers who felt like I would have!!! So glad you're all back on the ground safe and sound!!! Whew!! :)
Wow! It looked like a pretty nerve racking day to be flying and spotting! There was some awesome catches in here. You could see how turbulent it was when the aircraft were going around and on finals!
Yes there's a special spotting mound up by the old tower that most people use. The likes of David H (Bananaman) use specialist platforms up by the road to get over the fence. I'd highly recommend the mound :)
Hey Man! I was flying the EI-FEG on that day, the 23/02, TO at 1300 and landing at 1737, any chance you have pics or vids ? would be awesome.. thanks a lot!
That plane had 4 goarounds and was probably approaching minimum fuel state and risking diversion (and then, possibly a mayday fuel situation). On the 787 it is perfectly fine (per Boeing) to deploy reverse within 10ft of ground. In this scenario, deploying thrust reverse after the flare stabilized the approach and let the pilot put 'er down safely... if a bit hard.
Excellent video!! Thanks for braving the storm!!! :) I feel for every ONE of those cared passengers. I would have been crying and hyperventilating!!! For real!! Keep up the good work...and stay warm out there. :D
David Barnett around 5 London Stansted to the north London Luton to the NW London Southend to the E London Gatwick to the S And London city airport in east of London
The Air Buses seem to do it easier than the boeings is there a reason anyone?, fly by wire and computer vs hands on the column, or do the Boeings have a higher landing speed so are more vulnerable to wind shear. I am amazed at the skill of the pilots.
I missed my flight on this day because stansted express cancelled all trains. We lost almost 500 euro and have no insurance for that. Any Chance tog get my Money?
Thanks. Please see the channel and compare this video to others, RUclips had kindly messed the exposure massively during the video merging on RUclips creator.
Please refer to the pinned post. It plays in the correct quality (See all of my other videos) however during the RUclips creator process its seriously messed my footage!
The quality is still reduced, so apologies for the shocking picture!
ElliotL- CBGSpotterHD Check your camera settings before recording, it's a pitty. Cheers!

319 Qatar 319 is Qatar Emiri flight.
The 737 at 11:07 is flyPegasus :)
Ok
Windshear + Ryanair? OMG I can't wait for this
great video, the Ryanair 737 at 26:47 had a really hard time also deploying its reversers without being on the ground
Thank you very much for watching!:)
It's not recommended but the pilot can do it in certain conditions

You should fly on economy, I barely get any turbulence or go arounds there.
Some lovely planes, these pilots have nerves of steel, some of these planes are being blown around like butterflies, like to hear A T C.
Thanks very much for watching, much appreciated :)!
Really enjoyed this!!! Thanks for filming!!!
Thank you very much for watching :)
those Ryanair pilots are fearless!
They are!
Thanks Dude ;) btw you guys ask why we keep the gear down for a long time. Its SOP for a windshear escape manoeuvre
Awesome Storm Doris compilation. Amazing airmanship!
Certainly some skilled crew here. Thanks for watching :)
Wow! It looked like a pretty nerve racking day to be flying and spotting! There was some awesome catches in here. You could see how turbulent it was when the aircraft were going around and on finals!
You sure could! Thanks for watching :D
Crazy day but totally worth it!!! Nice compilation.
Sure was haha
Epic Video mate, absolutely breathtaking. Was awesome to see the 747 Departing!
Thanks, my god they done well in those 74s!
Nice video! Any tips on where to go at Stansted for filming? I've never had much luck filming there.
Yes there's a special spotting mound up by the old tower that most people use. The likes of David H (Bananaman) use specialist platforms up by the road to get over the fence. I'd highly recommend the mound :)
Thanks for that I'll look into it.
henced proved that ryanair has worlds best steel ball pilots
WOW! those crazy winds allowed you to capture some great footage and liked the Go-Arounds. :)
Cheers, yes lots of them go film :)
Whoaaa incredible compilation mate!! Sure takes guts to fly in those conditions! HUGE LIKE!!
Hey Man! I was flying the EI-FEG on that day, the 23/02, TO at 1300 and landing at 1737, any chance you have pics or vids ? would be awesome.. thanks a lot!
Hey, if its not in this video then sadly not. Sorry but thank you for watching this video :)
Alright, just in case! video is awesome! :)
What is the plane at 0:36? Never seen anything like it
Dassualt Falcon 7X
26:56 Why is it possible to activate reverse thrust without ground contact?
Who knows?
Flo A about 10' agl
Flo A you can activate reverse on a 738 10 ft from the ground or so
This video goes viral! Stunning footage.
Haha :)
I was on the flight from Berlin that got diverted to Birmingham Is this on on the video?
Hi Bradley! That would be this flight here I think!
ruclips.net/video/fmOQr6RqAuI/видео.html
ElliotL- CBGSpotterHD I must have been on a later flight coz we parked up next to that one in Birmingham
Ah ok sorry!
Yes, it is. I see you saying hello from the plane window.
This is how pilots are made and stripes are earned!
Certainly is.
27:00 revers before touch down
Yes, not great!

11:12 Leaves their gear down a long time after deciding they have missed the approach...
Physics is amazing!!!! That cargolux looked like it was barely moving!!!
Excellent video!! Thanks for braving the storm!!! :)
I feel for every ONE of those cared passengers. I would have been crying and hyperventilating!!! For real!!
Keep up the good work...and stay warm out there. :D
Thank you very much for watching! It's me pleasure to share this epic piloting.
That Asiana,Cobalt and Air Moldova ones were excellent mate. Really good footage. Liked :)
Some crazy flying and skill here! Thanks for watching Jon.
Ryanair is the best! (Still)
does the Qatar a319 fly sceduale to London, or was that a Special flight?
Its not Qatar, its Qatar Amiri Flight.
crazy stuff mate! very enjoyable to watch! Thumbs up
Thank you my friend :D
In addition the Heathrow, how many major airports surround London?
David Barnett around 5
London Stansted to the north
London Luton to the NW
London Southend to the E
London Gatwick to the S
And London city airport in east of London
Southend is not major. London City is far better.
Wow awesome footage here!!! Would be great to catch a Go-Around!! I was at Cologne :D
Haha sure is amazing! Thanks for watching buddy!
incredible catches
Thank you!
i was on the woodgate king air. was an interesting landing lol
bet that was fun!
ElliotL- CBGSpotterHD it sure was lol
For the pilots who landed without a go around is insane ! By the way why I you still spotting in such a windy day ? ( just curious)
Thanks, yes they done very well! Why on earth would you not go spotting when youve got the chance of amazing stuff like this ;P ?!?!
Stunning video mate!!! Like the two Qatar aircrafts in this video
Cheers Rahman :)
Why was there such a small Qatar plane?
It was a Amiri royal flight 319.
The packages in that FedEx MD-11 got the ride of their life.
Thanks a lot for watching, defo the hardest MD11 landing I've seen, sorry I caught a gust myself so the filming is poo!
Very good video 😎
Thanks mate!

Exactly that, fly by wire is far more forgiving in wind.
Not exactly, the 787 is flyby-wire too
lol ryan air did go around
Nice video
Thanks!
watching the rudders of quite a few of these planes looked like they were right at their travel stops! not somewhere any pilot wants to be
Thank you very much :)!
Why Qatar Airways A319 is on Stansted airport and why even Qatar lands on Stansted? :)
Its Qatar Emiri Flight! :) THE 787 was a BHX divert after 2 go-arounds there.
I missed my flight on this day because stansted express cancelled all trains. We lost almost 500 euro and have no insurance for that. Any Chance tog get my Money?
Sorry but this isn't your flight claim line is it? Sorry to hear of this.
Of course, just send like 100eur to any Nigerian scam..., I mean businessman, and he'll give you back like thousands of euros easily paying for it :)
Some good efforts, but maybe dial the exposure down a little next time:)
Thanks. Please see the channel and compare this video to others, RUclips

I was on the Ryanair Venice flight
Bet that was quite unpleasant.
Was on a flight that day that needed to go around. Don't want to repeat that any time soon.
Thank you very much :)!
