When conditions cause the aircraft to be captured by wind gusts the priority is to get that main gear on the ground and dump all the lift remaining as quickly as you can, planting all the weight of the structure onto the ground
The 737/800 is a good aircraft that’s why the RAF use them, calling them‘Poseidon’ ..full of technology of course, using them for maritime reconnaissance I think, very impressive, understated, a smart move by the RAF x they replaced the old Comet/Nimrods
@@spadiuA321 well done. I’ve flown well over 100 Ryanair flights, and 90% of them landed like this. I appreciate you’re just trying to flex your aviation knowledge but I too admire the pilots ability to land in such conditions. Having been on way more flights than I’ve observed I’ve experienced my fair share of rough landings and, from the recorders perspective, this looked really smooth
6:30 Amazing to think even up to this point the Plane is still on automatic pilot Ever wonder how much pilots earn per minute they actually fly .. Alot!

For a second there i thought you were going straight to the core of the earth.
The perfect landing.. Great pilots ✌️😊
Great Video and Landing! 40kt gusts are not easy to handle! :))
Thank you
Passengers can cope with that!
Well done to the pilot's who landed the plane. Rhona King

But I think the A320 is more advanced. The 737 is an old design, the fuselage was based off the old 707.
Ahhh the gentle Ryan air landing…BOSH!!!! 😂
Don’t think that was bad at all considering the conditions.
8:53 And the signature "boom!" at the end
A proper Ryanair landing too
So you'd expect the landings to be smooth and perfect in 40+ kts crosswinds and heavy rain do you?
@@spadiuA321you don’t fly Ryanair often do you
@@spadiuA321this is like 90% of Ryanair landings even in perfect conditions 😂😂
@jamesshaw6962 Nope but I've seen and filmed alot of landings and most of them are smooth depending on the conditions.

Firm & fair. 😎👍🏻
What was the flight number? Did some circling looked like, was this the 24th? Great vid! :)
No circling, this was an approach from the south coming from Barcelona.
Flight no was FR8231.
I tried landing at heathrow in Storm Bert in msfs2024, was chaos
Nice video.
Classic ryanair landing
Said someone on youtube, for bad weather you need to plant it, not try and not try smooth landing. Excellent landing

I would have been more worried about being on a 737.
So would I if I believed the fear mongering about on the news. Good job I don’t, and ryanair are a completely safe airline.
Flaps 30 😮
😮😮😮
Slats too 😂
Unusual 😂
Bang 😂
