Mine didn’t come with the oil drain adapter, so I used a water bottle. I cut the top and back off then cut it in half then trimmed till it fit. Worked perfectly!! I also rolled the left side (opposite of plug) on 2 2x4’s so gravity would do the work.
Great! Thank you for helping me so I don't have to read the info on line. What a crazy place the oil plug! My old Craftsman simply had a spout at the bottom that you turned on and off. Easy and quick. The engineer for this must have gone to a school in Iceland......Best Regards from an ole coot (80 summers) who enjoys riding his "tractor" to mow his five acres.....
Wow you can do five acres with this thing? We have 1.3 acres and I was thinking about selling this current model we have, craftsman t 110 and getting maybe a craftsman t 240 for better performance.
Changed mine for the first time. I didn't have too much trouble, I didn't remove the harness holder but it's still a pain where the drain plug is. Lots of 1/4 turns before it comes out and like yours, oil got on the frame. I used some brake cleaner and rags afterwards to clean the oil off the frame and also in my drip pan, wiped clean with shop papertowles.
Great job on less mess. For the Lawn Tractors without filters you should be watching how many hours you put on the tractor for the next oil change. Might be in your manule.
Good video. Better than the instruction manual. This also works for the T100. The plastic chute they give you is a pain to use. You can also cut up a milk jug. The design of the oil plug prevents a socket from being used which would be optimal. 12mm or 7/16 wrench will do fine.
Reading online from Craftsman, states 10W-30, but you're using 5W-30. is 5W-30 better or an improvement to 10W-30? Full synthetic really a better way to go and should it state "small engine oil" or "for lawn mowers etc" on it as well... or full synthetic motor oil meant for car sufficient?
I have the Craftsman T140 46” made very similar to the 110. The steering rod seems to block me getting to the oil plug. I thought about disconnecting it. Also how do you clean the top cutting deck and around the motor?
The steering rod is in the way of me getting to the drain plug even though I turned my front wheels as far as they would go like you did. What do you do now?
Well,I did it like you did on the video and I dont know how you got that wrench in there.I turned the wheels as far as I could and that rod is still right over the drain plug.Might be better if I do what this other guy did.Buy a oil suction pump.Would it care if I leave a few ounces in there if I go to the synthetic oil other than the oil it came with.@@NoneMechanic101
Is there an air filter? Also, how often should one change the oil? Yearly or every 2 years? I live in Upstate New York, so I only really mow from April - October
So where's the oil filter replacement. I think I saw it behind the wiring harness. Do you replace those on this model? They come with the kit. Thoughts?
Thanks for the oil change video. Just bought a T100 and for the life of me I couldn’t find the drain plug and oil filter as indicated on the manual. The engineer who designed and wrote the manual of such crappy machine should be fired.
Hi Hector. I have one of the oil suction pumps. It gets all but 2-4 oz.
I used Castrol 5 30 synthetic on my first change 3 weeks ago.
Great information. I'm going to pin your comment. Thank you. I appreciate it!
Hey, thanks for helping. Just changed the oil for the first time ever with your video. Many thanks. Cheers! 🍻
Glad it helped. Cheers👍
Just got a T110, never had to deal with grass before but life’s changed! Thanks so much for posting your video, great information!
You’re so very welcome. I think I’m going on 4 years with it.

I have this exact model thank you for the video! Never done this before, so this craftsman t 110 model does not have an oil filter?
No it doesn't have an oil filter. Thank you for watching👍
Thanks. Was struggling to find that drain plug.
You're so very welcome👍🔧
My Johnny Deere has an extension tube to drain it into a bucket..I wonder if you can do that to your Sears?
I probably give it try.
I can do this!!!! Good look 💪🏿💯
Good luck

I believe that before I did the oil change. I read from the owners manual.

The way I cleaned it. I jack it up and washed it with the water hose.
Pressure Washer , Electric or gas ! Handy to have for washing most anything !
Thank you!
The steering rod is in the way of me getting to the drain plug even though I turned my front wheels as far as they would go like you did. What do you do now?

I myself live in New York. I like changing the oil yearly.
Change oil every ten mowing hours.
@@SkyCloudSilence Thank you
Where is the oil filter on the t110? Cannot find it. Looks like it's near the carburetor on most videos ??
Doesn't have a oil filter.
That's how it is done 🤜🤛

Are you supposed to have dipstick screwed in when checking oil level?
Yes
I have same mower is there a oil filter?
No oil filter
Mine has an oil filter also.
So any 5w30 oil from an auto parts store will do?
It's best to use the recommended oil. I used the oil from the auto parts store.
@@NoneMechanic101 thanks. I couldn’t find the recommended oil in the owners manual for my t100.
Thanks
Welcome
Where can I get drain piece at?
It comes with the mower or you can make one with the plastic from the half gallon of milk
So there’s no oil filter on this thing?
No no oil filter. ruclips.net/video/JMpNoOqgkHk/видео.html
It’s almost like the head engineer came buy and said how are you going to change the oil… the young student says what oil change😂😂🤔
🤦♂️
so no oil filter.?
Not on this model
Could you send me a picture of what the oil name is
That looked like 5w-30 supertech full synthetic oil from wal mart.
How many OZ does it take
48
If your has a filter it take between 46-48 oz, with out a filter it takes between 42-44 oz.
That plastic drain extension piece does not help much. I agree, the design is lousy, but you did very well in a bad situation.
ManicMechanic007, I think Craftsman should had put the drain plug in the bottom.
I've had a John Deere and now I have this model craftman. The JD was WAY easier.
Thanks
I have never owned a Lawn Mower. I would have used a socket and impact to spin it out faster.
I glad I got this one because they charge about 45.00 dollars to cut the grass.
