I enjoy your videos and comments. I’m not really sure what the song is about either other than just a general salute maybe to magicians in general. I’m 66 years old and saw this band perform back in the 70s as a kid growing up in Florida. Sadly the singer who was a fantastic vocalist passed away a few years ago actually several years ago and the drummer who is really prominent in this song just incredible drummer, passed away a few years ago but luckily the guitar player Mick Box from England is still alive I think 76 years old, but yeah, very unusual song, especially the guitar, just the style of play on this song, pretty unique, and of course the drummer. You probably heard some other Uriah Heep songs they have a ballad or two, but in most of their songs, you’ll notice the incredible voice singer has. Thanks again for reviewing this song. It’s probably my favorite Uriah Heep song. Have a great day from North Carolina, USA.

Heep at their most progressive. Excellent duel by Mick Box (guitar) and Lee Kerslake (drums) in the middle of the song. Both grossly underrated rock musicians! In my book Lee deserves to be in the Top 3 of hard rock drummers, along with Ian Paice and John Bonham.

The album ‘Sweet freedom’ is the best they ever did. In my opinion.
    Everything else is pretty bland.
