Hook wise take a pair of pliers and bend that offset hook just slightly up so the point wont dig into the plastic itself . Toward the upper bend just bend the hook up a 1/8th of a inch making sure you don't damage the point. Promise you will hook a lot more fish wit this simple fix. Coloring wise they make a product called Spike it which does a super job making custom colors.
Use a fluke junior on a underspin, especially in the winter. Slow roll it along the bottom i catch big smallmouth on pickwick this way, my pb is 8lbs. I use it or lately i use a berkley top minnow which is an identical bait but it has the max scent which is awesome on smallmouth. I use the berkley in green pumpkin color with blue and gold flakes at night is when i been catching my big smallmouth. I started catching them this way around christmas time and still catching them. I throw it out let it go to the bottom and slowly reel it back in.
instead of the standard weight for the Texas rig consider the use of a Thumb nail weight which goes inside the fluke itself. This way you can keep the lure super natural and get it to sink in a nice slow fall .
@@HooKSetzWithRyan I was thinking that using the standard offset worm hook won’t have the keel effect that a EWG has and allows it to spin on the retrieve
that 3rd jighead you mentioned (ball jighead) what brand is it and where can i buy it? I've been looking for something similar to that to use with the tiny fluke in a donkey rig and those seem like a winner
Thanks for watching. I’d recommended a 1/8 ounce jig on 10 lb fluorocarbon . Braid with leader is what I use but straight floro is good too. Deeper water 3/16 ounce jig head .
I with you man I've been use em with a jighead for a few years but my favorite is the super fluke jr
Fishin N Stuff yeah man it’s not weedless but when they hit it there stuck like chuck lol

That yellow sharpie trick is pretty sweet
Thanks for watching. Definitely a great way to add some color that won’t fade off
Nice tips, I've got to try that Sharpie trick and trimming tip too.

Great video, I just use ball jig heads with them, works great. Shout out from Canada.

Good Tips!
Cool man. Imma have to give that a try.
Drop shot a zoom fluke!
Matt, do you have problems with the fluke spinning when using a standard offset worm hook?
Thanks for watching yeah every now n then I guess it’s cause it’s gets wore out and probably needs a new bait.

Help better if you show how to rig it.
