sooo someone actually requested this video as kind of a review about my thoughts on LUOA (liberty university online academy) which is a K-12 online christian high school. overall i highly recommend because the lessons are good and the teachers and support system is amazing. online school does have its challenges tho with being lonely sometimes and less socialization in some cases. it's been a growing experience overall and if you have any questions FEEL FREE TO REACH OUT TO ME!

@@missyrachy I've been at it for about a month now and can honestly say i've had a much better experience than I did at my old online school. I've pulled some longish days since I'm taking a college course (virginia history, only 4 weeks left in it though so its bearable) but just the academy itself it pretty straight forwards and doesnt feel very straining imo, which was exactly what i was looking for
I did this school for one year and absolutely adored it. Finished a month early and only did work every few days. Only reason I’m not coming back for year 2 is my mom wants me to be more “socialized”. I’m praying and hoping I can prove to her I am “socialized” and come back for senior year though!
Sorry I don't agree that going to a high school " makes you more Socialized, you are with kids your own age only.
Hey! I’m reallllly thinking about joining LUOA next semester! This video really helped me! I am a sophomore.
My daughter is wrapping up the sixth grade, it’s been great. One flaw is that chugs along even if you don’t understand something. My daughter has learned a lot more this year than attending public.
Do you have the opportunity to revisit things she doesn’t understand or get help from a teacher with LUOA?
@@jennifermarquis2190 we did get help from teachers. I plan to use a tutor this year for math. :)

i do luoa too! it’s my 2nd year and i’ll be a junior but i love online school. i wish i could find more people who also do luoa so i have some school friends haha. great video though!!

I am in the exact same boat as you not only us living in the same state lol but like wanting to spend senior year like a regular person luoa is absolutely the best thing that happened in my life and has helped me grow my relationship with Christ soooo much more

Did you do the Enhanced version where you log in once per week for a teacher's class? We live in Dallas and are considering for our sophomore.

Could you tell me what you know about their dual enrollment at Liberty? what do kids say about it? it is rigorous in comparison to the high school courses?

Well, I talk to my daughter about it and she reminded me all the difficulties she went through last year attending on line school, because of Covid... the biggest problem was, how lonely she felt because she had no kids to play with (she has no siblings). So for this year, we decided to register her in a private Christian school.
I go to LUOA and I really would like to make friends from there or enter a GC , I am in grade 9; I feel very lonely and would love to meet someone in my school :D

I'm so nervous that I don't know what school is good or not for my 11th grade kid. I have checked between Acellus (no Cognia accreditation), Carlvert Academy, Liberty, Excel high school. What you guys think!! I really new in all this and I don't want to make mistakes choosing HS program.
Hey there, I watched your video and you mentioned being able to change your assignment calendar around to fit your schedule. The only thing I am finding is that you can move your end date. Could you give me more insight in to how to change it weekly? (if that is possible)
I'm really interested in enrolling my 13yr old daughter, but I'm curious, does this school provide cd's or usb's with pre-recorded lessons or are the teachers available live for classes? Also, is it extra is she would need help with any questions because I work full time and I am not home enough to be able to help her much.
@almaayala6 if she ever has questions about her work she has 3 ways to get help: emailing her teachers, calling the student help line which she will be given the number on her first day, or using a chat live function specifically for students! there are no pre recorded or live classes really its more you read the lesson but there might be some videos inside of these written lessons that your daughter will need to watch!
Im 13 also and i go to the school, most of the time they give you lessons to read then sometimes a video from youtube. Its different with math though they have a math teacher called professor burger (personally i don't like him but its your opinion) they just use his old videos to teach math. You can email the teachers but currently ive been waiting for a response for about 7 hours now. Personally I wouldn't recommend it i live in California and the time difference throws everything off a little.
If I got hours for college from their college courses while I was in high school, could I use those hours and credits at a different college,
Hi there , what if you’re at 12th grade and next will be college, do you know if LUOA is credited , meaning no GED test is required? Or you still need to get a GED ?
Do u have to live in Virginia to get a physical high school diploma? I live in New York and I wanted to know if that’s valuable over here where I’m at
Wdym the teachers are good at communicating w you I’ve been to the school and haven’t spoken to my teacher once or had them speak to me

When I used to go I would call or email my teachers for help, but the classes are mostly by yourself.
yea the teachers are horrible at responding, its like they dont understand we have other things to do besides wait for their response for days at a time.

Thank you so much for this video. I am a mom with rising 4th & 6th grader and considering between LUOA and Enlightium Academy. Has anyone heard of Enlightium Academy? In regards to LUOA, are there pre-recorded videos for ALL the lessons in ALL subjects? I am getting mixed answers on this one and not sure who to trust. And if there are prerecorded videos for each lesson, how long are these videos? Also, what should my rising 4th & 6th grader be expecting for lesson time & studying time (studying for quizzes/tests/exams etc)? Thank you in advance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey! I just graduated from LUOA this precious weekend- high school MAY be different for elementary & middle, but in my experience, everything we learned was textbook-type material. I adored it and learned so much from it. Teachers were very attentive to answering questions. Hope this helps!

does it cost money and if so how much?
@@emilyg9274 Their enrollment and tuition fees are on their website. The price depends on the grade and I believe for 9-12th grade its somewhere around $360 a month and its planned for a 10 month course.
