How good is my PC? I just want it to run modded Java Minecraft smoothly. Here's the specs Processor Model AMD Ryzen 5 5000 Series CPU Base Clock Frequency 3.6 gigahertz CPU Boost Clock Frequency 4.2 gigahertz Number of CPU Cores 6-core SSD: 1000 gigabytes 16 gigabytes DDR4 SDRAM GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT Dedicated RIS Ray tracing GPU Video Memory (RAM) 4 gigabytes GDDR6 Operating System Windows 11 600 Watts power supply
Can you guys add a shot of Time Spy with the breakdown of CPU score and GPU score on these builds, like you used to, please? Also can you plug in the Kill A Watt and let us know what they draw under load? Thanks!!!
Also to note about the P520, it's PCIe Gen 3. Also, the nice thing about the x16 slots is that they support bifurcation. That means if you wanted to load either with a card that hosts 4 nvme drives, you can. Personally I have a professional use for mine that will be used for my sound library. I aim to go headless once I get Proxmox installed so no need for a GPU taking up any of the x16 slots. Also fitting mine with 128GB of RAM since VMs will be on it as well.
@ I paid a total of just under $500. I had the 10tb hdd from a previous server. The graphics card was $190 on Amazon. The RAM was maybe $45 on eBay. The computer was $230 also on eBay.
I use a very similar spec'd HP Z4 G4 for my unraid server (using a triple 3.5in HDD bay that fits in the two 5 1/4in bays on the front). Picked it up on ebay super cheap two years ago now! Its a great rig! I'm pretty impressed with the xeon 2133. Lots of upgrades for this socket and they'll hopefully get cheaper over time. upgraded to 64GB of ram and it's a great little workhorse.
Great vid. I've been preaching the benefits to buying old enterprise grade machines for a while. My current desktop is an HP z440 i got off Facebook marketplace for 80 usd.
Love the video and bought one of the p520 for my son. Can you do a video trying to make this a rgb monster. My son loves the computer but it doesn’t look like a gaming pc. Can you do a clear side and rgb fans please? Love the video and keep it up
I've built in three of them. For a case, cooling, cpu, and a good psu its just hard to beat for 1080p base platform. Only bad thing is the ram is ECC but at least it is quad channel.
I built one of these, upgraded ram to 64gig to make use of quad channel xeon. Upgraded to w2155, and pny4060ti 16gb. Plays black ops great. 1440p high settings. but flight simulator 24 eats it up, 1080p low gets me 60ish fps.
ToastyBros when testing fortnite allways cap the frame rate, even if you cap it over the average it smooths the game a lot, I limited at 150 FPS on my Laptop with Rivatuner, it made a big difference !!!
11:00 My rtx 3060 laptop average 62fps in Black Myth Wukong 1080p medium settings without dlss/fsr. (I have screenshots) That means my rtx 3060 laptop > this rtx 2070 pc? My rtx 3060 laptop also draws much less power compared to this rtx 2070.
Does reducing screen display size actually increase fps, my classmate wanted to try a crazy thing of reducing a PC display size to a phone's screen size😂
Depends what you mean by size of the screen. If you mean just the physical size then no. If you mean the resolution then yes. Resolution is the number of pixels being changed every frame by the graphics processor (1080p, 2k, 4k etc). If you lower the resolution then your computer does not have to work as hard as generating each individual frames and therefore you get faster performance. But if you compacted those pixels into a phone sized screen but still maintained the same resolution you would not see any fps increase. You could however have a smaller physical screen that has the same pixel density and a lower resolution and you would indeed get more frames. But at that point you would be much better off just upscaling on a bigger screen to get more frames.

Love mine! I put in an RX6600, 64gb quad channel ram, and a 10tb hdd. It came with a 512gb ssd and I put in a Xeon 2140b.
price?

Appreciate for verifying about windows 11 cause that was my last option to complete my p520 this week
I used the p520 with a 6600xt to see if it was worth it to invest more into a pc when first switching from console! A unit!
Great vid. I've been preaching the benefits to buying old enterprise grade machines for a while. My current desktop is an HP z440 i got off Facebook marketplace for 80 usd.
this video was fire i love this kind
best tech channel on the internet
That graphics card still looked kinda wiggly after he closed the PCI express slot cover... it will probably fine, though.
Completely normal for a non-reinforced slot.
Building a p520 this week 2135 rx6600 512gb ssd 32gb ram
Remove the MOBO to knock out the rivets that hold the HD cage in place and it really frees up even more room! Use 4x8 ram and you will be loving it
Im going to stick with my unlicensed windows 11 the price was unbeatable-free 🎉❤
Love the video and bought one of the p520 for my son. Can you do a video trying to make this a rgb monster. My son loves the computer but it doesn’t look like a gaming pc. Can you do a clear side and rgb fans please? Love the video and keep it up
Case swap it
@@BShub-1 pretty difficult with the p520 motherboard/psu situation
Yeah I don’t see a case swap in the stars but rgd fans, cooler upgrade, make a clear side for it etc

Just curious, how much did quad channel improve things over dual channel? Or did you upgrade multiple things at once so it's hard to say?
Can you do a review about the wownova 5inch display pls❤
Toasty Brossss!!! Is the lenovo ideapad slim 3 better than lenovo ideapad 3 or vice versa

Hi toastybros i love this tipe of video❤
The hilarity of the pitifulness…
Broken this. Cracked that… You guys are hilarious
Have toastbro run Linux mint on this machine? And game with it. Or Linux mint with bottles. Installed?
what software are we using for streaming?
how do they open that corner box thats shows there stuff
Hey, toasty bros, I have a question that I have been wondering about is a 3090 is still worth it in 2024
So question on the case, am i buying just the case without adding additional parts?
the p520 is a workstation pc, it came as you saw, it is a used machine, it has to come with the parts, the case itself is worthless
@arch1107 alright

how much does it cost
This pc wouldve been great for a "full setup video"
Requesting Gaming PC day 23

No, it does not. But a lower resolution frees some resources and therefore you have more fps with reduced quality.
Depends what you mean by size of the screen. If you mean just the physical size then no. If you mean the resolution then yes.
