Great little drone for a beginner? I just got the Cetus FPV in the mail and my first impressions are not good. This thing "jumps" up when you take off and you have to be quick to react to that. It also drifts quite a bit due to interference (going to try changing transmission channels but this was a first flight) . Yes , I did the " level calibration" several times. I've tried it in slow and fast mode without much of a difference. The goggles are surprisingly not bad. To give a bit more context, I am a seasoned drone pilot with 13 drones (quads really. Two actual drones) in my 'stable'. I have been flying for over 10 years and , though I'm not a great pilot, I think I know what I'm talking about. Not saying that the Cetus is crap, just letting the folks know my experience. Hopefully it gets better.
Thanks for the insight. I’m considering buying one to get a taste of FPV. Also clocked your standing desk there. Do you do your video editing standing?
This drone is a headache when you must to change something, example a engine. The betafpv software is a bad joke, the technical support is very, very bad ando dont brind any solution. This drone durability is about a three weeks or 1 month. If you have any problem your drone probably is rubish.
@@benjumea I concur, I bought one 4 weeks ago. after two hard crashes where the drone, all by itself, decided to go straight up into the sky and then shut down and fall about 60 to 70 feet onto concrete it hasn't hovered correctly since. it's still flyable, but I have to calibrate level by putting a cardboard shim under the back legs (about 1/8 inch high) during calibration. I no longer try to fly it outside because of that uncontrolled assent. funny thing is, it doesn't do that inside my house. I'm wondering if it was caused by a overheat issue? it was 98 degrees outside the morning I tried to fly it (I live in AZ). Also, I have already had to change out 1 motor. was wondering if it would become level again if I had exchanged all 4 motors AND props. it seems to me that every 4 to 5 weeks I might have to change out the motor and Props. now to be honest, they don't cost that much, but after a while that would get old, and the expense would pile up. when I do fly it, it's fun. especially when flown close to the floor, weaving in and out of kitchen chairs and around the coffee tables (4 to 8 inches off the floor is a trip). I am thinking of getting another beginner drone to continue my progress with. the EZ-Max EZ Pilot Pro. it has Brushless motors which I believe are more durable than the brushed motors on the CETUS LITE.
Great review! I was looking for Cetus lite vtx camera review. Yours is the most complete review covered internal electronic parts. Do you think Caddx Ant camera is a good replacement for Cetus camera?
@@TRONCATFPV hey troncat could you recommend me some 3inch cinewhoop with decent flight time and that could lift a full go pro? Thanks! It will be for indoor flying
This is a TOY. It's not stable, it falls out of the air with no particular warning, and goes faster in reverse. Even in fast mode, DO NOT take it outside. I lost mine when the wind took it away and I lost signal from the goggles so I have NO idea where it went 😢 My adult male sized head fits the goggles ok, but I can't see anything without my reading glasses, so I had to significantly alter the goggles to fit my glasses. Still can't see very well. Overall, I don't recommend, unless it's for a kid or $$ is a problem, in which case, pick a different hobby.
@@mikeb1596 given you can get 3" 2s drones capable of acro under 100$ doesn't automatically label every drone in that price range as "toy for kids" hence my question. Nevertheless, who says that acro and "for kids" can't go in the same sentence? No need to reply here anymore cause I'm not really into a debate over the target customer for this
Could you explain how to record on the drone camera 🎥

Looks like your suggestion for upgrade came true: BetaFPV offers "Cetus Lite Camera and VTX Module" for $15 to upgrade Cetus Lite
I noticed! I’m glad they did. It’s such an easy upgrade lol

Finnaly some more information about board and connection to pc and controller

What about cetus pro and cetus x
I actually have a separate review for the Cetus pro here:
ruclips.net/video/R4MqtrzjZXE/видео.html
If i connect it to a computer can i download acro mode on it?
Can you explain how i can record videos from this drone? Tnx
You can't. Need goggles with a DVR.
Can you fly the FPV version indoor and outdoor?
If you think on real fpv pro drobes no you can but 1000$lose but this kit is made for indors
Hey, quick question: does the drone come with LVC or do you have to manually check if the voltage is to low from the goggles? Thanks in advance!
Search another brand. Trust me. You save headaches ando money
Cool little starter
Whats the motors these have I need to purchase some please respond
Begin the problems. Change to another drone, you save money. Trust me
Can you do any tricks ?
Hi Torin! So I can remake Cetus Lite with Frsky to Crossfire?
Can u make it flip ?
So I can bind my TX16S to this?
If you have the 4-in-1 version you should be able to!
We need a long range build

Did you calibrate it correctly?
This drones fc on the aIo burned out not the best drone 😢
This is like eachine e017. But cost $20
Lack of acro on these is such a bummer. I'd buy these for some indoor freestyle but I guess that's not gonna happen
Better buy the pro version I guess
@@Nikitayerofieiev sounds like the obvious choice, I guess there's a target customer for each of these versions
Its a cheap version made specifically for young kids, doesn't need acro. They have other kits that are more advanced
