Soliwoulen (Djembe & Dunun Demo)

In the village, Soliwoulen refers to the fetish master who is able to drive away bad spirits. In Malinke, Soliwoulen means “Red Panther.” When the fetish master dances, the Soliwoulen mask and costume he would wear would be red. There can only be one Soliwoulen in the region and one cannot be a Soliwou- len if he is not initiated.
