Soli Des Manian (Djembe & Dunun Demo)

Region: South of Guinea
Before Mamady recorded his CD Mogobalu, most people outside Guinea knew only the version of Soli from the Malinke ethnic group. Mamady named this rhythm Soli des Manian to differentiate it from Soli as played by the Malinke people. After the release of Mogobalu, Mamady began teaching this rhythm and it became known around the world.
