Hi, I have a Haas and Mastercam with a 4th (A) axis. Is it possible to do 4th DWO option during simultaneous work? That is, if you fix the cylindrical stock off-axis, it will freewheel as if it were a crankshaft, but will it be able to process evenly from all sides? Is this possible? I am resetting the parts in full axis right now. I just wondered about the DWO convenience. Is this option included when I buy 5 Axis? By the way u r great man John.
if we first even fully use c axis on lathe make minium atleast hex LOL if he would know it could do many parts one setup he would put silly jobs on that machine that allready had programs on other machine. 2 new machine came and he told mayby rotary come and not even remember lathe has c why waste that on silly parts that can break machine without never even use c. like old machine LOL parts like bolt. first lathe and center drill. then mill hex. then back lathe. or do hex and center drill same time. simple custom makro i allready have LOL milling makro just converted c axis
I don't fear 5 axis. Just too broke to afford one.
Great video, thank you. One thing though, it's really three ops. The dovetail prep is also an op. You have to include it in your quote.
Thanks for the educational video. I hast opened my eyes and made me hungry to learn more.
It is a very much informative video. Thanks.👍

I need to buy 4th axis and add rotary table on the plate, so I will save $$$, any advices ?
Great Video
Congratulations 👏.
assuming you don't have DWO/TCPC, how you set your CAM if Y axis resulted from A-90 and A90 is different than Y axis of the rotary axis (C)?
move part in cad software and post new program. if stock change. do it again. and hope cad code is correct and not need read line by line LOL.
Is the 5 axis with this set up continous or indexed type?
useful , thanks.

Don't fear 5 axis...Fear having to change offsets in 8axis.
The problem is HOW MUCH TIME I HAVE LEFT.
Nice1.
