    One of the most searched terms on my website and my youtube channel is How to be a better father, and how to be a better husband. There are also many searches for Christian husband, Christian men, Christian parenting, How to become a high value man, and many other similar searches. This talk goes through a ton of content to hopefully help you in this area.
    This is my full presentation of my talk called The Man Talk. I present this talk in churches and conferences challenging guys to be better fathers, husbands, and boyfriends. I do come from a Christian worldview but this talk is good for anyone.
    The Man Talk is what it sounds like - a discussion about what it's like to be a Man today. It's a real talk, a meat and potatoes approach to issues pressing us from all sides:
    Being the best Father I can be.
    What it's like to be a Husband and a Servant.
    Christian men and sex.
    Christian dating - A how to.
    Boyfriend. Father. SON. Husband. Lover. Fixer. Buddy. Servant. Sexual. Boss. Hero. Boys Adrift. Friend. Guide. Daddy. Courageous. Loyal. Theirs. Mine.
    Everybody needs a good talk at some point. And, this is one for you. Everyone's welcome to the man talk - ladies, no jeering. We're working on a talk for you too ;)
    Real Men who aren't afraid to talk about Man stuff, and who are better for it.
    As Christian men, we need to look at all aspects of our lives. We need to ask what the Bible says about these issues as well. We can get better in our marriages and in our parenting.

    Brett, how I wish I could of seen this video years ago when I still had my family at home, it's like you said there is no do over in life. I hurt my wife to the point of no return not physically but emotionally I have scared my wife and broke her heart many times. If there was anything I could do to bring my family back to be the husband and father they deserved I would do it with out thinking twice and hold them ever so tight and never let go. I'm lost and alone I pray God hears my prayers and gives me a miracle

    This ~ i was looking around for a video regarding fathers because I had seen a small clip I wanted to share with my husband, & I found your videos. I sent my husband this video last night & today after dinner he asked if I wanted to watch it with him. When it got to the part on fathers ~ especially regarding boys ~ he realized it’d been exactly what I’d been trying to get him to hear over the past 22 years while being married. (Our boy is his step son) when you stated to send your kids an “I love you” text ~ he sent our daughter one and then actually sent our boy one ~ as he admitted that he didn’t think he ever told him he loved him. And if THAT ain’t a Miracle tonight ~ Nothing is. Just absolutely Amazing what God has done through you. And I thank you for stepping up to the plate of being willing to teach men how to be better themselves. In a godly manner. ❤

    I have to say the first hour and 30 minutes was inspiring. I'm not religious and still on the fence on whether Jesus even existed which inevitably can be argued on both sides but the information you shared goes far beyond religion even though I know your message is directed towards that. over the past few days I've been listening to a lot of audios about how to become a better father not questioning on whether I am a good father or not but just the kind of teach me things that I don't know. And with that said I thank you

    Preaching to the choir. I doubt men who do these things or abandon their kids will look for how to be a better man or father videos on RUclips. Was hoping this would actually for men who want to be the best they can be for their families after not having good examples from their fathers or father figures. Too few videos on RUclips actually helping men and not blaming men.

    Left out two bits. More men in prison are raped than women as a whole but people throw those men away in those statistics. Also you left out a generation which is the role of sons . People start young sometimes, the helplessness and anger starts early. A society that doesn't have a strong sense fial piety misses that. The nuclear family is a mistake, bring back extended families so other than your parents other adults are looking out and smacking you - especially important for those without a one or both parents. Lastly Wait til your married to have kids the statistics will show that is the greatest determining factor for ending up in jail, crime, and everything else. Boys need their dads.

    Every man's battle is porn? Every man battles against porn? No sir. Not every man. Not the men who love their wives and girlfriends. For them there is no battle. What does the Bible say? What does the Bible say about love? When you are in it for real there is no temptation from any place. Love is so strong that you see nothing but her. What does the Bible say about love?

      Help me understand what you mean by toxic masculinity. This talk challenging men to be better fathers, husband, and boyfriends does not fit into what I would call toxic masculinity. love to hear your thoughts. Did you watch the entire talk?

    • @23tracy91
      @23tracy91 5 лет назад +8

      @@BrettUllman1 gladly. This is just how it comes off and I accept it may not have been your intention. You start your discussion with basically saying that violence, rape, and all manner of evil is the domain of men. The stats you give seem to say women don't have these issues. All of that combined sends the message that men are bad and women just put up with us. Ergo, toxic masculinity

    • @BrettUllman1
      @BrettUllman1  5 лет назад +1

      @@23tracy91 This is a talk I am doing for men usually so I am only talking about men's stats and not women's. I fully agree that women do all sorts of evil things as well but the stats (that I read) show men doing them at a much higher rate than women. Stats aside the goal is to challenge me to be better men. I apologize if the start came off in a different way to you.

    • @23tracy91
      @23tracy91 5 лет назад +1

      @@BrettUllman1 I don't want to belabor this because I'm sure you're intentions are good and I hope some men can benefit from this. My point is this, you are addressing all men as if they are represented by a statistical minority of criminally violent men. A majority is men are nice and don't bring harm to others. Why then do you wish to reduce the safe and legal outlets for Male energy while telling us we're all already too violent? Don't you think it's that same attitude that has led to the mass drugging of our boys with ADHD meds starting in elementary school. Stop telling us we're detective girls, ya know? We here this same message a thousand times a day and all it's doing is making us turn our back on those who espouse those views.

      @@23tracy91 This is not the same anti men message. This is a man who is identifying some challenges for men. I am a Christian, engineer, boxer, ballroom dancer and chef. I believe the Bible teaches gender roles but also believe being a man whom a wife would submit to is not being domineering (which as a fighter I recognize as weakness). As a man I never get bothered by toxic masculinity talks because I don't view them as an attack on me. I see them as a learning oppurtunity about other people's experiences and as a way to be better.
      My brother, I challenge you to reconsider why you felt so uncomfortable listening to this video. I have females friends who have been raped and I believe this is especially important for young men who don't have fathers.

    Good material but leave the bible out more & talk slower because you look nervous & that does not convey security it shows you in a rush of something.
