The games seem like the region overall is more wealthy/expensive, and back in the day red was extremely expensive (so the "past" game is red) and nowadays violet tones like purpur (which is the german name for pkmn Violet) is extremely expensive so the "future" game is purple. And since its so bad because the colours are quite similar, there isnt that much of a distance for the Let's go colours, which you said were an A
Violet and Scarlet are also quite commonly associated with Royalty. For the reason you mentioned before plus due to royals in Europe adopting the colours to flex wealth. Iberia was tied firmly to their monarchy until the last century and even nowadays, whilst maintaining them as mere figureheads in Spain, the monarchy is still a distinguished part of Iberia. Just like how Sword and Shield had the world champion motif to showcase Britain, Sports and Leon's cape being a clear nod to royalty alongside the post game duo of characters. Game freak are ridiculously good at world designing. It's a shame they don't get the necessary time and resources to make games fully fleshed like they used to.
I got to say since the first time I saw the reveal trailer of the nintendo switch oled splatoon 3 special edition I was extremely blown by it. I really like the colors they gave to the joy - cons, the details on the dock and on the switch looks amazing. This is the best special edition oled switch I have seen so far. I might get one for myself.

Monster Hunter in the S tier??? ABOVE Animal Crossing?? I give it an A with the Mario R&B but I think only ACNH and Splatoon are S tier. Nah. I’m not a Pokémon fan but it sure belongs to A or S tier for me. I’m choosing to get my 4th Oled between splatoon or Pokémon but in the end is Poke. One of the only Switch’es that is colored at the back. But I do agree it’s a bit messy. Same for splatoon joycons in the front even though I like the gradient and white back. However splatoon main console’s back is just nothing much. The best is monster hunter design (or pikschu n eevee) in gold color on the console back. Simple but yet elegant.

Splatoon 3 Switch gave me hope for future designs. Now I’m back to worrying about the Zelda one if we get it lol. Do you think this means we don’t get a new Switch model in the spring/summer? Would Nintendo really temp you with all of these knowing you’re going to want a new system next year? Or do they not think like that

I totally get why people like the glossy silhouettes most special edition Switch did but I'm the opposite of wanting my devices to look subtle and "pro"-looking, I like it when they're unique, loud, and colorful in design in reminiscence of 00's designs lol. Plus the colors of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet don't mach as they are too similar, and it gets D tier. The Let's go edition has yellow and brown. Yellow and slightly dark orange. both have single colour art on the dock of the box art pokemon.
Having the Let's go! Switch, excited for the Pokémon OLED I was able to preorder! My wife loves her animal crossing switch... And neither of us use the Zacian / Zamazenta switch lite. What a fun video!
Splatoon joycon is great, i will definitely get a pair when sold separately, but that dock looked like someone spat loogie on it. I beg to disagree on the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet though. That switch looks lit and it makes me want to upgrade from my current oled.
I will also buy the Splatoon 3 Joy Con if they are released separately. I already have the original OLED but my jaw dropped when I saw the Splatoon 3 OLED.
The splatoon 3 one is definitely my favorite. I just had to get it cause it is pretty and I love Splatoon really much. I like the new pokemon switch too but it really doesn’t fit well with other joycons. Wish they went with black on black but Splatoon still looks better
I have the SV OLED and you are right I use pink and green or all white joy con so that it blends well with the back or looks good with the dock. The hori dark red split pad compact .... that looks good too but yeah it's a pain that the design doesn't work well with all that many joy con colors. I think these upcoming all pastel pink ones might work well.
What a fun video! Man, I was here for it all! So I actually agree with almost every placement on your list. However I'll switch the Labo and the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The Labo is way too plain in my opinion. I actually like the Scarlet and Violet Switch. I dig the graffiti-like design on the back though I'm not 100% sold on the front of the dock. It's still cool but I do wonder if they could have gone a different way with the dock. I do agree that the Splatoon 3 Switch is the absolute best of the bunch. I finally got the OLED Switch thanks to that amazing design.

Good video mate.. I agree with quiet a lot of your choices part from nintendi labo I think is about D and the pokemon one is about an S level. Not a pokmon fan but I love the console. Orange and purple go together mate. They are a classic combo. But I did agree on alot of your other choices though. Good work..🎉
My biggest problem with your list is pokemon lets go should be s tier. It came with a digital copy of the game, different coloured themed joy cons. The strap bits were different colours. The dock was themed, the back of the switch was stealthy and awesome and it came with the pokeball plus.

My opinion, If I could buy only 2 of the nintendo switches listed in this video I would buy The Nintendo Switch Oled Splatoon 3 Edition, and the Nintendo Switch Labo
I think for some of these they should’ve maybe just made them themed joy cons. If they ever start just selling themed joy cons, i hope they do mario characters. I would DIE for princess peach joy cons, the home button could be the jewel on her dress, the main colour could be her dress colour and the wrist strap things could be magenta. Just brain storming her, but i think those would sell like nuts.
So my Mario Red and Blue Edition and my Animal Crossing edition is in S Tier. Thank god I have these consoles. I also have the grey switch lite Pokémon edition, I only used it a few times till the left stick started to not respond to right movement inputs. So now my Pokémon edition switch lite sits in its box in my display case.
This tier list is really good but i would def put the Lest Go Pikachu/Evee editions on S because this edition comes with the game and a Pokeball controler besides Being very Rare 2 find

Agreed. The new pokemon switch colour scheme paired with the images really is an eye sore. I say this even though purple is my favourite colour. It just doesn't look right. And when the splatoon 3 has also just released, you really can't compare the two. Splatoon 3's one is just infinitly better.
I really hope they release a special edition switch for the new botw game that's coming out in 2023 because that would be amazing, and I loved the first game so much I'm so excited for the second game :))

Get the Pokémon one. I have it and I love it, everything looks great, the dock is my favorite part about all of it, it has like a holo textured effect to it. I upgraded from the original 2017 Switch and I do not regret my purchase in the slightest! ❤💜

Sorry to tell you but the Pokemon switch oled is number one, atleast until the Zelda switch oled comes out.

My opinion, If I could buy only 2 of the nintendo switches listed in this video I would buy The Nintendo Switch Oled Splatoon 3 Edition, and the Nintendo Switch Labo
I think for some of these they should’ve maybe just made them themed joy cons. If they ever start just selling themed joy cons, i hope they do mario characters. I would DIE for princess peach joy cons, the home button could be the jewel on her dress, the main colour could be her dress colour and the wrist strap things could be magenta. Just brain storming her, but i think those would sell like nuts.
Splatoon 3 OLED Switch is my absolute favorite! I also just love the Splatoon franchise!
So my Mario Red and Blue Edition and my Animal Crossing edition is in S Tier. Thank god I have these consoles. I also have the grey switch lite Pokémon edition, I only used it a few times till the left stick started to not respond to right movement inputs. So now my Pokémon edition switch lite sits in its box in my display case.
Is there any hardware difference in the special edition besides design? For example the Zelda tears of kingdom.

This tier list is really good but i would def put the Lest Go Pikachu/Evee editions on S because this edition comes with the game and a Pokeball controler besides Being very Rare 2 find

my favourite is still the animal crossing one by far. Not because of the colours or anything i tend to prefer darker shades but just because i fucking love animal crossing

Agreed. The new pokemon switch colour scheme paired with the images really is an eye sore. I say this even though purple is my favourite colour. It just doesn't look right. And when the splatoon 3 has also just released, you really can't compare the two. Splatoon 3's one is just infinitly better.

Get the Pokémon one. I have it and I love it, everything looks great, the dock is my favorite part about all of it, it has like a holo textured effect to it. I upgraded from the original 2017 Switch and I do not regret my purchase in the slightest! ❤💜
